Sep 2016 - $27.00
We stopped for a night on our way home from a trip to Nova Scotia. It is mid September, so the camp's residents were mostly seasonals. Seasonal sites occupy probably 70% of the campground, so if you are looking for a site in the height of the season you may want to call first.
We camped on site 22, right on Sebasticook Lake. The view was gorgeous and the site well maintained. There are only 7 lake sites and another 7 with front lake view out of 69. Lake front sites do not have sewer hook up. Full hook up sites are $30.00.
There are several docks and boat ramps and a small beach.
The owners were very nice and friendly. Our one night stay was uneventful and enjoyable.
The campground is conveniently located close to Hwy 95 and on Route 2 for travelers driving the scenic route East - West. - Catalina W
Aug 2016 - $25.00
A very nice park. Judging by the amount of decks, sheds, etc. I'd estimated that 90% of the park is seasonal. Showers are .25 for 7.5 minutes or .10 for 2.5 minutes. I found the water pressure terrible. They are also very small and cramped. Laundry is reasonable at 1.25/wash and 1.00/dry. Firewood is 5.00 for a wheelbarrow full and paper and kindling is free. Great staff and a nice quiet location. - MSSW
Aug 2009 - $24.00
If you enjoy small quiet campgrounds and your equipment is not too big, you will like this park. It is clean, well maintained and has easy lake access for water craft. The back-in sites are on the lakeside and the pull-thru sites are across the road from them. Just be sure to check if the site is level enough for your rig before registering since there are not many sites and some are not very level. They have Wi-Fi at the library (beside the pull-thru sites) and a large number of books for exchange. - JTD2
Jul 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for 4 nights. Some nights the traffic noise from I-95 was really noticeable and other nights not so much. This is a small park with some seasonals and one section with about 5 pull thrus 1 of which seems to be a seasonal. There are 2 chickens, 1 cat, 1 old dog and a duck with a hurt leg that roam around. There is 1 washer and 1 dryer in the same building as the bathrooms. The pull thrus were fairly level and grassy and I was able to get my Direct TV dish locked in. The road the park is on is pretty rough. - mrracechaser
Jul 2017 - $20.00
Good overnight transit stay. It is about 2 miles from the interstate exit on rough secondary roads, but is reasonably quiet even though the interstate is not far away. Chickens, duck, cat plus a very friendly host made for an interesting stop. No frills ... just a good transit stop. We would stay again. Arriving near dark, the mosquitoes were present and hungry. - cherib
Jul 2015 - $30.00
Lots of full time run down sites. The manager was OK but the office etc was a mess. Tiny pool. One washer and dryer. The restrooms were clean but run down. $30 as weekend but I'm not sure I'd even stay here at the half price Passport America rate. - kiwitravelers
Aug 2018 - $18.00
Great location, great price. Full hookups, shaded site, 50 amps Quiet!! Friendly deer. Moose in the area, didn't see any but others in the campground have. - Jdon
Jun 2018 - $27.00
The Nightly rate reflects an average of 5 days. 3 at the passport america rate, and 2 at the Good Sam discount. Sites are level and long. Plenty of room for any big rig. From our site we could get satellite reception. Good WiFi, Verizon and utilities. I would recommend this park. Especially if you like to play Golf. - roybrody
Aug 2017 - $31.00
Large, level gravel sites with FHU's. Spacious grass "yard" areas, pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes, small playground, and clubhouse/store. Trees presented a satellite problem. Big plus, for golfers, is the 18-hole course on site. Location is a bit off the beaten path so sightseeing requires quite a bit of driving. They have the best wifi we have seen in quite a long time of full-timing. The rate reflects the weekly rate. The interior gravel roads need some attention for rutting/roughness. - rvrrat520
Jul 2018 - $31.00
We stayed here for a couple weeks of downtime as we were traveling around New England. Most of the other campers appeared to be seasonal/regular weekenders. Everyone was friendly, they have lots of weekend activities, and it's every quiet at night. Nice lake, docks, loons, tall mature trees. Verizon cell and mifi worked just OK, no T-Mobile service. We had a level back-in site with a view of a wooded area out the front and partial view of the lake out the side. Campground was clean and well maintained. Interior roads were tight for our 40 foot MH, but no overhanging limbs and the manager gave us a good recommended path in. Rate reflects a discount for weekly rate. We would stay here again. - Roaming Together
May 2018 - $42.00
We just stayed one night on our way through the park had just opened. Friendly staff. We had a pull through that was plenty long. Cable and WiFi worked fine. Looks to be very family friendly. We did not check out any of the amenities except the dog park. It was clean and bigger than most we've seen. About a quarter of the sites are designated "seasonal". But the sites were well kept. We would stay again. - Patricia57
Jun 2017 - $63.00
We were impressed with the park. The folks running the park were extremely friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and well kept. There are elements of the park that are quite aged but overall facilities are very well kept and park is clean, orderly, and was pleasant to visit. The store was well stocked and the prices were reasonable. We would not hesitate to visit again. - Matt7571
May 2016 - $47.00
We stayed here the weekend of May 20th-22nd with our Western Mountain RV'ers chapter of the Maine Good Sam Club with 2 other members. The campground was pretty empty the weekend we stayed, because it was before Memorial Day and the pool was not open yet. The campground was quiet when we were here due to the lack of campers. There also was not much entertainment/activities due to it being prior to the "official" start of camping season (Memorial Day weekend).
My wife and another chapter member loved the hot tub even though it was small and oddly located. The outdoor pavilion needed better lighting and something added to it such as a movie screen or something of that nature to make it usable for entertainment.
The sites we had were 30/50 Amp full hookup pull thru sites. The sites were either dirt with a lot of roots from the large White Pine trees or large sized rock/gravel sites which were tripping/ankle twisting dangers. The sites were partly shaded from the large White Pine trees around the sites.
The dog park was OK but it was small and the fence did not go all the way to the ground so the ball kept going under it. The walking/hiking trails were not marked and were actually also ATV trails. The store was small and we did not use any of the bathroom/shower facilities. The staff was OK but not overly friendly.
We did go into downtown Skowhegan on Saturday of our stay (about a 10-15 min drive) to go to the breakfast buffet at Ken's Restaurant and some of our members went shopping in Skowhegan and to the 10 mile yard sale that was going on that weekend.
We would stay here again but probably try it during the prime season time between Memorial Day & Labor Day. - HappyCamperMaine04938
Aug 2018 - $36.00
After having spent a couple of months in two different family-friendly RV parks, we found Pumpkin Patch RV Park to be a WONDERFULLY QUIET respite...definitely geared more for adults, as there is no pool or other activities toward which families with children gravitate. (There is a grassy play area with ladder toss and cornhole.) Check-in was efficiently accomplished by friendly staff - we were escorted to our site by a staff member; the easily-navigable roads and wide, level sites within the park are gravel. Sites include a picnic table and are nicely spaced, with grass between. Although some sites are fairly tree-covered, most will allow the use of a roof-mounted satellite. We requested a site with no tree cover, so we could use our satellite, and were graciously accommodated. There is a group meeting center (we enjoyed a couple of ice-cream socials), two laundry facilities, restrooms/showers, and a dog exercise area within the park. Located at the entrance of the park is a restaurant, which at the time of our stay was almost completed and soon to open. While staying at Pumpkin Patch, we visited Acadia National Park and Bangor, Maine. - HRTravelers
Aug 2018 - $41.00
We stayed here twice. They went above expectations on service. We needed to store some guns before going into Canada. We called other RV Parks, Gun shops, and storage units. Pumpkin Patch was the only ones that very willingly helped us out, locked them in a safe, and did not charge us anything. - LeeAnn Magel
Aug 2018 - $42.00
The site was level with central hook ups. Wifi worked great at the site as did the cable. The workampers were very helpful. Restrooms were very clean. - Al and Anne-Marie
Sep 2010 - $19.00
No services and you must carry your trash out. We stayed in Site 20 right on the lake. This state park is small but very nice. It is about 37 miles east of Augusta right on route 3. There are about ten sites right on the lake and if you have a boat you can tie it right up in front of your site. Restrooms are new like many of the Maine State Parks with individual bathrooms, showers and sink. Nicely done! The State of Maine got a grant to construct these washrooms a couple of years ago and most of their state parks now have really nice ones that are modern. No services here but for an overnight or a week most RV’s can live without it. There is a public picnic area that is very nice with a swimming area next to the campground. Since we were there in September the rates have dropped. We paid as an out of stater $19 but in season it must be close to $25 or higher. It is a good place to stop driving over to Acadia or to stops along the coast! - gsnakehill
Sep 2018 - $94.00
We had the lovely Site 1 with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Good size site. Cable TV was very good. WiFi not so much. The site staff were wonderful and much fun. Very accommodating. The park evidently has new owner who is making improvements, but it is still a work in progress. The roads and site are dirt. Our site was in dire need of a concrete pad or gravel surface. Because of the dirt roads, and a hard to find sign, we were wondering if we made a mistake when we checked in. - RPFawcett
Jul 2018 - $70.00
Stayed here again in August. Great spot right on the ocean. Some of the pull through spots at front of campground can be a tight turn for over 40' motorhomes because of trees located at back of site but very helpful park hosts getting into space. Very nice park sponsored happy hour on Friday night with wine, beer, and sodas free! Had a great time. - jevans0005
Jul 2018 - $82.00
Third time to visit this facility. Have loved it here but this time it was extremely noisy. The constant mowing and watering plants with a loud machine made it impossible to think or relax. For some reason they have converted there tank pump out machine to a watering device. Was walking our dog on an adjacent field and was reprimanded, even though there were many people doing the same thing with their dogs even after I was spoken to. When I asked the individual if they were done making noise he got infuriated and told me to talk to the manager. I walked away thinking just let it drop. He sought out the manager and brought him to my site. I figured We had 4 or 5 more days to stay here so just let the manager say his piece and just let it go. I felt the site was overpriced as it was on a significant slant and difficult to level the motor home. Although we had enjoyed staying here in the past we did not feel welcomed and will not visit again. On the positive side they have excellent WiFi and great cable. - rontrem
Oct 2018 - $45.00
The owners work hard at cleaning and updating the CG and creating cool things to see and do. We have a very nice view of the bay. - Goodcruisin
Aug 2018 - $62.00
I would like to thank Searsport Shores Oceanfront Campground for their unwavering support for Habitat for Humanity. They graciously offered sites to our RV Care-a-Vanners crew while in the area for a 2 week build. This campground is unlike any place we have stayed and we were full time for a while. There are no full hookups, but they offer a dump service at your rig once a week (free) or on demand (for a price). We opted to just quickly unhook, dump at dump station, and rehook...no big deal. There are some very unique activities here with a thriving artist community. Live music at least once a week. Lobster bake (too expensive for our budget). And lots and lots of trees. The owners were very accommodating and about as laid back as any owners we've ever met. But...there are rules...which we appreciated. Using their free showers, made our tanks last for quite some time. The coastline is beautiful and we'd go sit on several nights after our work was done and just watch the boats go by. They offer 2 park benches down at water's edge. The WiFi did present a bit of a challenge, but I was able to find a way to make it work and the owner's were always quick to reboot the router when it froze. We didn't stay on the water's edge, but walked around the park just about every day and enjoyed the views that those along the water had. - RVhappyHere
Aug 2018 - $100.00
Sites are shallow, but beautiful. All the sites are wooded with a nice view of the water. The owners are fantastic! Our neighbor had a problem with their waste valve and the owner dove under the rig to fix the problem! Shop is great with lots of local crafts. Buy the goat soap! Could have been very relaxing except for our neighbor from NJ who played loud music during the day and their dog barked at everyone and everything (not the park's fault). - James DeMonquay
Aug 2018 - $39.00
Great location near Harvey's RV where we took RV for repair when transfer switch blew. Just a few minutes off highway. Lots of green space and room between sites. Quiet and peaceful setting. Playground, not sure about doggie park but if anyone needs a clean, pretty site near Harvey's, highly recommend. Not too far from Maine Mall, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping although I did not see anything right around park. - Andrea W
Aug 2018 - $38.00
I have been staying here for more than 12 years every summer on our trek South in the USA. This campground is my favorite because it is cozy. It's friendly, clean, the owner is fantastic, and they will provide great service for whatever you need. The planes come in on a regular basis which the kids love!!! If you need a nice spot to hang for a few days and enjoy Banjor/Hermon, give these folks the business. As an RV'ER....it is a great spot! - Squappy
Oct 2017 - $34.00
We stayed in our new to us trailer while our adult kids and friends stayed in the rental trailer - top notch campground! We have camped here a few time over the years and always enjoy this campground the most out of the other in the Bangor area. Owners are great and take good care of the campground. - daniel31
