We've stayed at this campground many times over the past dozen years. We camped in tent, VW Westfalia, back to tent, and now a Roadtrek. We are pleased with the improvements we've noticed this year. New sites have beautiful views of marsh. Other sites have been expanded, cleaned. Tent sites around 5,6,7 are still undesirable. We like the loop (site H!) and the RV sites (stayed in 61 and 64 this trip).
Pool is always clean, beautiful view. Laundry facilities are convenient. Bathrooms (3 stalls, 3 coin showers) are generally clean. Super convenient to Drake's Island Beach. Many restaurants and grocery store nearby. Very strict quiet hours, which we appreciate. No excessive noise at any time - again, much appreciated. E/W/Sewer/Cable $65/night (only site available, typically we don't worry about sewer or cable). E/W are $55/night. - CDG

This was our first time camping in Maine and we were told by repeat visitors that the price and services are excellent considering the very high prices in Old Orchard and neighboring areas. From our experience elsewhere, the site assigned for our trailer was rather hard to access and we were worried about the tight path bordered by trees. With a lot of sweat and help from friends, we made it through and were able to park it. Great facilities with a beautiful view of the inlet and ocean In the far distance. Shuffle board and basketball courts were great for the kids. We had friends with us that rented the cottages (3 cottages in all). They were spacious but in need of upgrading, smell of mold and lack of a microwave or BBQ and cooking utensils made it difficult for meals. One cottage had mouse droppings in the drawers! Quiet hours are 24 hours; great if you like to sit around and not talk with your group, play music or have too much fun. Comment from the lady that greeted us regarding "Quebecers being noisy" upon our arrival and being informed that quiet hours applied at all times put a damper on our vacation. They may want to inform larger groups of travelers when booking that noise is not tolerated. - Off to Camp

Roads were tiny, sites were very poorly laid out. We have a small trailer and did not fit in two of the sites made available to us. The third site was extremely long and narrow and we had to back way in to get to the services. - j&kb

Property maintenance is sub standard. A rotted tree limb fell and broke on my auto on 9/25/2018, causing damage. There was no rain or wind that day. Had the property's trees been professionally pruned this would not have happened. Staff also brought out a rubber mallet to attempt to fix the dents. Shower area and lavatory extremely out dated and scantly cleaned. Overall the RV Campground is overpriced compared to others with well maintained properties. Service was Nil given the experience of my vehicle being damage with no empathy for a customer's loss. Customer Service was very misleading with the incident that happened with my car, I was rest assured that this would be taken care of only to find out after check out, this was not their intention to their customer at all. - bsowa
Aug 2018 - $72.00
We stayed here two days in a site with a view of the marsh and the ocean in the background. A very nice location. I would have given the park more stars if not for the following: 1. The restrooms and showers are dated and have small stalls. There is no ADA compliant toilet. The laundry has poor dryers. 2. The wifi is almost impossible to use although it shows a strong signal with internet availability. 3. The cable TV is extremely odd. Some channels had a dash after the number like an over the air channel would have and are pixelated. Many of the channels are fuzzy. We probably would not stay again. - Geodoc

We just returned from 17 state trip in the northeast and this was the nicest campground that we had. The sites were spacious and the interior roads are paved. It is close to Ogunquit and Kennebunk. It's a little pricey but not for this area. - HaveDieselWillTravel

This is a well maintained park. Good paved interior roads. Sites are all grass, but level. Good wifi. No issues with utilities. They do ask for copies of vaccinations for dogs. Lots of activities for the kids. It was amazing with as many children that were here it was quiet. Sites are very roomy and all have fire ring and picnic tables. Looked like most were settled in for at least a couple of weeks of summer vacation. No trees in our area so clear view for satellite. We would stay here again if ever back up this way. - Vicki K

This park is very quiet with excellent internet. They had a singer by the pool on the weekend. The sights are well spaced. One mile from the beach. - Kwanyen
May 2018 - $50.00
Opening weekend for them and we were the only non-seasonal there Friday night. Made it super quiet for sue. Check in was easy, staff was great, WiFi was upgraded so it was fine for us, not sure how it will be with more campers. The pool area was open but we did not use it. We really like the set up of this campground with the seasonals with their area and the transients with their area. It was a nice weekend, we enjoyed the campground and the area and we will return. - Happy Camper X2

Convienient to I95, easy off and on. Close to I95 so some road noise but not too bad. Some train noise. Spacious lots. Mostly seasonal. Wifi only in office. Verizon worked well. We would stay here again if in the area. Going to the other parks nearby you have to deal with the traffic on US 1. - Windshift
Aug 2016 - $63.00
Because we were "lucky enough" to qualify for all of the extra charges (+2 adults, cable & AC) the $42 advertised price got upped to $68 incl tax. And that's not counting the quarters for the shower. It is very convenient to I-95 which makes it great for in-n-out travelers. And for seasonals it's a lower priced alternative to the resort type CG's nearer the beach. All in all, an average New England CG. No brags, no bitches. - campiflo
Aug 2013 - $40.00
For an overnight stop this was a convenient campground, but for the price I don't think I would return. The facilities worked fine, but I think that campgrounds (particularly in the Northeast US) are finding new ways to annoy their guest just as airlines have turned flying into a pain. Fees for "extras" are now everywhere e.g. why would you have to pay extra for air conditioning use on top of a 50 amp service charge? This campground charges extra for everything, air conditioning, cable, restrooms, etc. to the point that you feel ripped off just for stopping. While the front desk folks were just fine and the site was adequate, the experience itself left me wanting to go somewhere else in the future. Oh, and bring cash since that's all they take. - Bob & Stephanie

Arrived 1 hour early and lady at front told us we could check in early, went to the office and after already paying over $200 for two nights she charged me an extra $10 for being 1 hr early. With 2 adults and three kids it cost over $240 for 2 nights. Fort Wilderness in Disney is not even this expensive. Very small sites with no pad just dirt. Pool and facilities were clean. Had just stayed right on the ocean at Salisbury for $35 /night and were two hours early for check-in. - Norm77
Oct 2017 - $80.00
Way, Way, Way overpriced!!! Small campground with paved roads. Most sites are terraced in the rear of the campground. Paid for the premium and promised satellite reception. Was given a back in site surrounded with trees. Absolutely no possibility for satellite reception. Lots of trees in campground, don't count on getting satellite reception no matter what the office tells you. Site was level but close to other RVs. There was a large pine tree at front of our site and a large pine tree to the rear of site directly in front of our site. That made it very difficult to get our motor home parked. Other back in sites were also awkward to back into. Sites near the front of campground are very close to Highway 1 with traffic noise. When registering you might have to park in a loop at the office since parking is limited when arriving. Water pressure was good at 82 PSI. 50 amp electrical was solid with leg 1 at 123v and leg 2 at 122v. Verizon cell and 4G good. Campground has free WiFi provided by Tango Internet. You must create an account to log in with. Tango Internet performance was poor at 1.31 Mbps download and 0.79 Mbps upload with a ping of 64 ms. Ok for light web surfing and email. Overall campground appears well maintained, clean with grass mowed. We stayed at other campgrounds were nicer and with better facilities for less than half the price of this one. - ETB

We Booked at the last minute and were able to get in during a real busy time. A lot of money but seemed in line with others in the area, lots od extras here. Pool was great and we used the laundry without any problems. Lots of sites but never really seemed crowded. Super close to beach too!!!! - Donny and Donna

We were excited for our trip but were unfortunately disappointing. The sites are tight to say the least. Showers and bathroom was dirty with no hand soap ever in our 5 days. We never once saw bathroom closed for cleaning but did see some hair in shower drain. The train that passed by and blew their whistle at least twice during the night and woke us all. Playground was enjoyed by kids. Poor weather made it easy for us to decide to leave early. The amenities in our own driveway far surpassed these. Won't be back. - gal boy

PERFECT! We are seasonal camper trailer residents and absolutely love this campground. Could not be better! The owners strive to make the park better with every day: and succeed. The park is very clean and the staff is very polite and helpful when needed. The CG is located near the Rachel Carlson Wildlife Preserve and consists of beautiful tree shaded sites for cool afternoons and seasonal views. The fall is breathtaking! The seasonal campers like ourselves, welcome and enjoy the company of the weekend camper and do everything to make them feel at home and assist them with solving even the most simple camping dilemmas. Children and pets are plentiful and add to the wonderful ambience! Stop in, spend a night. You'll want to spend the season. We did and will continue to enjoy a truly awesome campground! - gotriverside
Jul 2010 - $35.00
Moderately priced park in the woods, with nice atmosphere. We normally don't like to be in the trees to protect the roof of our motorhome, but decided that two days was OK. Was tight entry to our site winding in and through the trees in our 40' motorhome, as we followed very nice guide in golf cart. Made it OK, however. Friendly here, with stop on trolley at entrance, owner gave us (at our request) a recommendation for an excellent restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would stay here again, although we are just passing through. - jmorgan54

Well, I don't usually choose parks with reviews over a year old, but thought we'd try this one as we planned on being out sightseeing most of our 3 days in the area. I will say that my first impressions were that I had made a mistake (old and musty office with lots of stuff in it). However, once we got settled in our pull-through site, we really liked the park. There are lots of seasonal trailers, and several could use a major power washing, but the sites were neat. The owner was friendly. He runs a tight ship and keeps a good eye on things. There are all sorts of quirky carvings and lots of pots of flowers scattered around the campground that add charm. The sites in the back are very private. As the owner led us around the park and back to our pull-through site, I was not sure how we ever made it between some of the trees lining the road and over the raised tree roots. We have a 42' fifth wheel and a dually truck. Our friends with a motor home didn't have any problems. Lots of pine trees, so some pitch dripped on the truck and trailer. - Gannonrv
Sep 2016 - $35.00
The campground seems to be directed at seasonals. Transient sites ok - blacktop pads pretty level. Sewer odors found their way into the camper. Restrooms are proudly from the 1950's and they show it. Stained linoleum, very tight stalls, unpainted & dark shower (singular!). They are oddly proud of not being a resort - to the extent that paper towels or electric hand driers aren't to be found in the bathrooms. New or upgraded facilities would help a lot. Our advice, if you choose to use campground facilities in the area, choose another operator when in the Ogunquit area. - The Kodiak Pair

Very expensive for what you get. Also have to pay cash with no receipts given. Very rude employees. Not helpful about giving you advice before you get there about where to park when you check in. We had a wonderful stay at what one of the seasonals told me was "the quietest campground in Maine". This is a very small park, about 1/2 seasonals and about 15 back in sites. Everything was very clean and neat, and "worked" at the site. This is a perfect campground to serve as a home base for visiting the other beaches and towns in the area. Owners are super friendly and helpful with tips on area activities. No road nose, internet good, cable good. Note that there aren't "activities" for kids etc. This is small, quiet clean and friendly place to make as a home base if you're staying in the area. - camperkatie
Aug 2018 - $60.00
Great little park just off main highway 1 - stayed here a couple times while visiting Ogunquit. Quiet spot, don't hear any road noise. All utilities worked well, power was at near full 120 volts on both 50amp legs despite the weather being hot. Sewer was right in the middle of the site - perfect access with a short sewer hose. Some Seasonals took decent care of their sites. All sites are back in, and some are a bit harder to get into with 45' motorhome due to some lighting and bushes at the front entrance. Fortunately nobody parked across the way, but if vehicles were parked in front of their RV, I see some backing in could be tight in a big rig. Owners are always there to help out though, and ask a neighbor to move their vehicle if necessary, but I had no issue The owners of this park live on property and always around to help out and help out with local things to do. Each year have seen improvements. Entry to park was paved, but road down center of park and sites are gravel. The sites have grass and picnic table, but you're not allowed to put any mats on the grass to keep it healthy. Pricing is net. No discounts. The park is closed in the winter, so the pricing is comparable with others in the area, but would say without a pool, spa, kids area, other amenities it might be considered on the high side It had rained a considerable amount in previous weeks then got hot so mosquitoes day and night were a nuisance this trip. Otherwise, this is a great spot to explore the Wells, Ogunquit and beach areas in Maine. - Big Rigger
Jun 2018 - $60.00
Stayed June through August very nice small park. The owners are on site and are extremely pleasant helpful and very friendly. The beaches are within a mile of the park. We enjoyed the stay, as there are no frills and pool, but with so much to do and see in the area it was very nice to come back to the RV and relax. The owners gave us references to many off the beaten path restaurants and places of interest. We are on our way back to Duvals RV Park and look forward to seeing the owners again, as they make us feel right at home. If you're in southern Maine Check our this GEM RV park! - Wemfire

Treed but cable available for a fee. Entry sign is there but is partially obscured by an amusement site sign and only visible at the last moment. Site had a large stump on the side of the entrance that should not have been there. No grass. - dutch star
Aug 2018 - $1.00
The timing of our August stay at here put us in a popular area at its most popular time. Traffic up and down Highway 1 was more often than not backed up. The campground, too, was filled to capacity nightly. This campground is tight. There are many "parallel parking" spots that were laid out before rigs got as large as they are today. Some would work but many would be a challenge for the average big rig. In the "back" of the campground there are several pull-through "back to back" sites. The camper on the driver's side is very close. You then share a front yard with the camper on the passenger side of the camper. Depending on how people park their rigs this setup works fairly well. One complicating factor is that many sites have been rented out to long-term campers. Those folks tend to spread out to the very limit of their campsites. If you happen to have permanents on both sides of you it can feel even more packed in that it is already. Because of the narrow roads and placement of trees I couldn't get into the first site we tried. I moved to a different one and got in okay. Getting out was a bit of a challenge because of how the permanent site next to us was set up, keeping me from making the left hand exit I should have been able to make. Getting satellite TV anywhere in the campground is a challenge. Some people manage it, but you shouldn't arrive expecting to get satellite TV. My Verizon signal was marginal but generally usable. We paid for campground WiFi. I would give it a B- grade. Weekend evenings were pretty sluggish. I think all the sites are FHU - many are 50 amp. The campground is behind a large miniature golf course and not visible from Highway 1. Look for the big Wonder Mountain Fun Park sign. Next to that sign is, indeed, the Moody Beach Campground sign. You turn there, as though you are going to the miniature golf course. The campground offers shuttle van service to Footbridge Beach. The price is nominal and parking at the beach is expensive. - nazpaz
Jul 2018 - $1.00
Decent place to stay as a home base for access to the many attractions of the southern Maine coast but this place needs an overhaul. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There are two main sections - one where you parallel park your coach and all have 30 amp connections. The other area is mostly pull-throughs with 50 amp service. The parallel sites are difficult to get into unless you are very adept at maneuvering your unit. The pull through sites for the most part are very close together and in most cases only long enough for our 36' fifth wheel and our tow vehicle parked sideways. For example: between our site and the one next to us on the driver's side, our slide outs were about 4 feet apart. On the curb side, we shared a common picnic table / fire pit strip of dirt and occasional gravel. We were lucky that our neighbor on that side was not here all week otherwise we would have had to limit the length we opened our awnings otherwise they would overlap. Also, we could only extend our main awning about 3' as there were 2 trees in the way of a full extend. The gravel on the roads and in the campsites is long gone with only hints that it was once there. The area is mostly dirt which makes it quite messy when it rains. We will stay here again because of the prime location and the fact that we are thousand trail members, and I would recommend booking it for that reason. Just be aware of what you'll be getting. The access roads to the 50 amp pull through sites are lined with toads/two vehicles parked on both sides. Don't be surprised if you have to get out and ask someone(s) to move. - BobH1018
