We've been here many times and like this place. It is very clean. They have a number of amenities including pools, hot tub, a very complete camp store. Their Tiki Bar with stage is very popular. Although I'm sure we will return the one issue we have there is when we get there we are given a sheet telling us times the amenities are available during our stay. That sheet was completely wrong. The store closed earlier than they said the one bar was never opened at all while the other was open for barely 3 hours a day. Pool hours were cut back a lot compared to what was advertised. We still enjoyed ourselves but it just seemed misleading. We paid for the amenities but didn't get them. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

They run a shuttle into nearby Ocean City. Many restaurants and activities are there. Mackey's in Ocean City is very nice and extremely dog friendly. They even have a dog menu.

We did not have a great experience this time around. 7 hours after set up, the "camp host" came by and told us and all of our immediate neighbors we needed to move because we were all 3 feet back to far. Apparently we're not supposed to back up past the electrical boxes. There are no markings indicating that and also if that is the case, they should have people dedicated to guiding people into their sites. Our neighbors had already been there for over 2 days before being told to move. Upon arrival, the site was dirty (empty cups, bottle caps, & cigarette butts). The pool furniture was old and rusty. The day of check-out, someone was on my site, 3 hours before checkout cleaning out the fire ring and I hadn't even had a chance to cook breakfast over it yet. We paid resort prices and have stayed at MUCH better resorts for the same price. After this, we unfortunately will not be returning. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I do love this cg but Wi-Fi is NON-EXISTENT (that's why it's 'free')! And cell phones don't work either. Have to go into Ocean City to get near any cell service. All of the campers adhere to quiet hour but the trash truck does not! Most times was there around 7:15, but on Saturday the truck was dumping at 6:45 am! Extremely loud. I don't think the staff should be cleaning out the fire ring while we are still in the site. Please wait until we leave. If their price goes up any more it won't be worth it. Beautiful park, nice facilities, awesome beach on the Bay with a tiki bar and live music. Only negatives are cell service (at least Verizon) sucks here. Free WiFi is a joke and doesn’t work at all most of the time. One of the women in the office checking people in was a disgrace to the company that runs the facility. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and booked next year before we left. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at Castaways prior to July 4th and the campground was sold out. There was a lot of activity, but our site was spacious and we did not feel crammed in. There was room for our 34' motorhome, tow dolly and car. Utility hookups were good. Grounds were well kept. There was a lot of golf cart traffic due to busy weekend. People did respect quiet hours. All buildings were in good condition; however the showers seemed outdated. There are a lot of activities for children and adults. Beach area was busy, but nice. I did notice that any maintenance issues were quickly handled by staff and they were pleasant. Campground is owed by Sun RV Resorts. Therefore you are allowed to us large water park at Frontiertown. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped in site 30 which was a back in. Our site was tight at the 90 degree entry point with a tree on one side and an electric box on the other. Sites were gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities were clean, but the pricey as pools were closed. Nearby Ocean City had a Classic Car show going on the entire week. Lots of very large Class A motorhomes so plenty of space in most sites. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Full hook ups: 20/30/50 amp water & sewer Very nice/small campground on the Sinepuxent bay. Gets very busy during the weekend even though this is considered the off season but people respect quiet hours. We could hear the live band from our site which we liked. Not too many planned activities but free shuttle to Berlin & Assateague. Short drive to all Ocean City has to offer. Clean bath houses and golf cart rental was a bonus! Highly recommend our site # for anyone with littles as you can literally relax at your site while watching your child play on the playground! All sites included a fire ring with cooking grate and picnic table. Fairly easy to back in but they do have pull throughs available as well. Site was fairly spacious. We love this campground. The staff is very helpful. The sites are big with plenty of room. There is only one problem with the sites if it rains a lot of them flood even with some of them having concrete pads and stone apron for the trailer, there is still flood right out side you door wish they were to just add a little more stone and this campground would be a 10. But still love the beaches and a great place for pets!! This campground is a most to stay at. This was are 5 time here. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We've been coming to Castaways for years now, even before Sun RV took over when it was family owned. We've been here for the change over, which sucked at the time because you can tell it wasn't family owned anymore! As much of a great place this campground is, for the money you have to pay per night, plus extra $$ for your kids per day is ridiculous!! Doesn't even include for a family of 4, because you know, after your kids turn 10 they're extra. So basically we pay $129 per night with the extra kids fee (our boys ages 12 & 13 actually still enjoy camping as a family... surprise!) There's just as nice places on the east coast directly on the ocean beach for less, just saying! Oh, and in the past it's never been a problem to check in early without a fee, as long as the people before you left... you guessed it, they want another $25 for an extra 2 hours! Just so annoyed....We may be going somewhere else next year instead! We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was my first camping experience and it was pretty good. We were there in April and the park was fairly empty, which was a plus for us. We stayed in the Club Castaways section and the sites were fairly large. The bathroom, with key card access only, was clean and they had a TV in there. Also, had blow dryers. The front desk staff was underwhelming in their greeting, but they did get us checked in fairly quickly. A smile would be nice. The woman working the little store was lovely and very helpful when we needed an additional hose. (The water pedestal was in the back of the rig.) The Tiki Hut wasn't open and neither was the pool. Both of these things were fine by us because we prefer quiet to loud people. I suspect if I had been at this park during the summer months, I would have been less impressed by it. We've stayed here before, but this time we opted for the Castaways Club section. This section is gated with key card access. The bath house is also locked and only accessible with the card. Very clean and nice. The sites are hard surface with a second, shorter site for the tow vehicle. We were two sites from the beach, although it's not the ocean. If there was any downside, it was that there was a good bit of air traffic landing and taking off at the airport next to the campground. As a pilot, I enjoyed it. Club Castaways has its own beach, pool and pier. We enjoyed it very much but I'm not sure it's worth the extra money. The entire campground is nice. They also have a shuttle to Ocean City and to Assateague. The staff is very nice and helpful. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We were here for the Blue Grass Festival the staff did and out standing job and can't wait till next year. Just wished they had concrete pads on all the sites. Great spacious sites in the main deck area. I don't recommend paradise cove, it's a separate lot, almost looks like they added it on as an afterthought or tried to get more sites and more $$$. Campground has it own private beach, but it is pretty small and was fairly crowded while we were there. We went to Asseteague beach anyway. Tiki Bar was fun. Showers/Bathhouse were NOT what I expect from this resort campground. No hot water for 3 days? Are you kidding? Response from office?? Nothing. No concern, nothing they can do. Crummy customer service. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Relative to other top resorts, bath houses were too few and too far away. On top of that, the hot water did not work for 3 days and the showers were not appealing. The beach are was unexpectedly smaller and dumpier than the pictures, the pools were small and crowded. We did not use any of the amenities. Easily the most redneck park we've ever stayed at. Other than that, the location is great. Our site was outstanding with lots of room, fire pit, patio, and away from the crowds. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We camped here for 4 days and enjoyed the bark beach for our new pup, and the people beach as well. We did visit the tiki bar with our pup also and found the folks to be friendly and the beverages affordable as opposed to such places that gouge. There were maintenance staff running around everywhere, so I imagine any issue that was experienced was handled quickly. We chose to stay at the Island Oasis for it's location the the beach and tiki bar, and as expected, there was some volume of golf cart and people traffic, but not as bad as I thought it would be, although the golf carts were being driven recklessly at some time. I rate this campground an 8 out of 10 due to sites not having any shade....All out in the open, I prefer some sort of shade tree, the showers were separate units that had a shower curtain instead of a door to enter the stall, then another curtain for the shower of course, pricing is on the higher side. After we left the price jumped to $120.00 per night. I would return, but not a yearly trip due to cost. We camped at Castaways RV Resort & Campground in a Tent Trailer.
