This is a very nice park. Everything was clean and well cared for. Our gravel site was level and had been raked before we got there. We did some hiking while we were there, and the hiking trails were well tended. A couple of the loops don't allow pets, so be aware of that before you come with pets. - AnnP
Jul 2018 - $15.00
We stayed in the Cedar Electric loop. This park is very well designed for camping. All sites are reasonably level, but some have fairly steep slopes to the pad. The campground host was very informative and kept the sites spotless. We will definitely return. - Capt Gerry
Apr 2018 - $36.00
This was our second time camping here, both times in late April, so crowds were minimal. The sites we saw were all freshly raked and smooth. With a little planning you can find a site that offers privacy against a wooded hillside. The Park staff has been very friendly and helpful during both of our stays here. Nice hiking trail from the camping loops down to and around the Park's lake. We will certainly return. - 74 Noreaster

We stayed at this campground for an overnight stop on our way home. The campground is located in a forest, with paved roads and gravel sites. Sites are large, well separated, shaded, and private. RV/trailer sites have electric hook-up only. Water is available at a number of locations in the campground. OTA TV is limited, Verizon signal is good, and there is no WiFi. Restrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. There is no traffic noise. A dump station is located near the campground entrance. We would stay here again. - tnyankee
Jun 2013 - $30.00
Nice State Park in Maryland! Pleasantly small camping area, with only 34 sites. It was an enjoyable 5 night stay! The weekend nights were busier, which apparently had the drive by female campground supervisor needing to check on every site very often. A few comments and suggestions were a little unnecessary. The weeknights were a bit better with the male drive by campground supervisor(s) simply driving by and waving! The camp host was convenient and helpful when needed for information. Pet friendly park and campground! Shower/Restroom facilities were well lit, clean and in easy access for all campsites! Beautiful shaded campsites! Each site has a large well built picnic table and fire ring with grill insert and 2 lamp posts which were quite handy! All roadways in very good condition! Lots of wildlife everywhere you look, helping to make our camping trip an enjoyable one! - patti&charlie
Jun 2012 - $30.00
A great little campground. It is centrally located to many historic areas and Maryland State Parks. There is a small pond to fish in and trails to hike within the park. The only sad part was that the park host is leaving this year and she not only kept the entire park clean, but assured that it was safe and quiet. - electrician549

Big rig friendly! Watch the fence on the way in. Big Resort with lots of kid stuff and a dog park. We just wanted an overnight site to get off the road. I called the office and was directed to use the after hours overnight site - pick up a map at the office on the way in, no reservation needed, pay on the way out. We arrived about dusk, picked site 728, found it easily and set up. Main road is paved, the rest of the roads and sites are gravel. Our pull thru site had full hook ups (50 amp) with in easy reach, and our rooftop satellite dish easily found a signal. The site included cable but we did not use it. The office staff was very helpful. They have jack/Jill sites and sites very close to cabins. Our neighbor said they are very crowded on the weekends. We would stay here again. - Born2RV
Aug 2018 - $65.00
Just an overnight but was very impressed. Water slide area looked great and was HUGE!!! Store was one of the best I have ever been in. Staff was very helpful and courteous to us. We didn't have a reservation and just needed a place to stop for the nigh and they were VERY welcoming. Took us to a good long pull thru site that we didnt even have to disconnect from our 5th wheel. Had a picnic table and fire ring. Only thing was that the grass needed cutting. But otherwise fine site. Fairly level and easy to get in and out of. Showers and restrooms nearby and even though it was about 8:30pm they were clean. Very easy to get to off of I-81. Beautiful area. Looks like lots of activities for kids/families at campground and even adults too. we will be back to this campground for a long stay. - Danzilla

We've stayed here twice a year in the last couple of years and we like it. The flies can drive you nuts from the cow pastures nearby, but the campground is nice! Our kids like the pool and water slide. - DaveNH

We were the only vehicle being used. There were a number of abandoned trailers. The swimming at the river was closed and is a hike away from the park. The advertised "museum" is run down and with unused equipment around. The caretaker was helpful. Would not recommend. - User2759

This is almost the perfect park, beautiful wooded campgrounds, large camp spots, plenty to do. The camp spots were level and very clean. We stayed in site 15 for 5 nights and 18 for 1 night in the Addison run section the only electric section with pets allowed (1 old cat) electric only, water was close by. So level we didn't need to do anything. We booked on line and when we checked in the agent at the gate asked how old we were and then promptly gave us a Maryland Park Service Golden Age pass holders ($10) and refunded us 71 from our booked reservation, 1/2 price camping for 62+ Sunday thru Thursday. ATT did not work at the camp ground section we were in, but we went 1/2 mile up the hill to another section, took lunch with us and was able to get cell service. The antenna TV was also pretty bad, so plan on outside time. The hiking is great, swimming, fishing and canoeing, lots to do. At the front entrance is a book exchange. The only downside are the conditions of the bathhouse in the Addison run loop, and they are pretty bad. Enough for me to take 1 star off for this perfect park. A razor and garbage stayed in one shower stall for 3 days. A broom to knock down cobwebs and other debris would help, mop the floors or clean with a hose, just to mention a few things. - hiker13
Aug 2018 - $14.00
The site we stayed in "#25" was very level and had a water spigot right next to it. There are lots of trails to hike in and around the park. A very nice hike down to the falls (a couple of steep and rocky parts, but very doable for us 70 year old, out of shape) . Wear good shoes and you will be in good shape. Hiking poles come in handy as well. A very nice setting provided a great spot to play during a heavy rainstorm. There was a lot of activity down at the lake during the weekend, but things quieted down nicely during the week. There was a "Teardrop" rendezvous going on while we were there. Great folks who seemed to really enjoy their little trailers.
The roads were easy to navigate, but that is in reference to our rig of 28'. The road in was curvy and narrow (highway 77) and the road up to the campground loop (Addison) was pretty steep. I wouldn't recommend it for a big 5th wheel although there were a couple of large motorhomes there - they did unhook their cars before they came in . - Capt Gerry

What a beautiful park! We stayed in Addison Run Loop pet-friendly with electric, site #15. Fully shaded, quiet, very secluded, level, clean and NO bugs. The weather was cool so we could leave our camper doors open..until the torrential rains came on Saturday afternoon...about 3" worth! Wonderful hiking trails down to the Falls and the Lake, a little difficult so glad we had hiking shoes and poles. Didn't use bathroom facilities this trip but peaked inside and they looked clean with nice shower stalls. We have a 21' Class B campervan so size was not an issue at our site, however, I could see that larger rigs may have trouble with site size. Our loop had more tent campers than RVs, and with the rains I was reminded how nice it is to be warm and dry hunkered inside our camper! The park is quite hilly with lush old growth forest and rocky outcroppings. We also hiked part of the Catoctin Run trail, crossing mountain streams which swelled with the heavy rain. We will definitely be back to this lovely place. NOTE: One of the tent campers took a plastic tub filled with firewood from our site while we were out sightseeing in the van. When we found the tub missing and went to retrieve it, the thief said "Sorry dude, I thought you were gone." We usually leave miscellaneous items out when we daytrip, never anything of value, to let folks know the site is occupied. - Debbie Collison

We called from the road last minute. I didn't want to do a 2nd WalMart night. They could accommodate us. Our site was by the highway in front of the campground. It was soggy and muddy from recent rains. Loud trucks/cars/ and motorcycles all night. Water and power were good. THERE IS NO DUMP STATION HERE. We had to travel the next day 60 miles to a truck stop to dump tanks. Although I appreciate having water and power for the night I would not return here, as it was the worst of all 14 campgrounds on our 4228 mile trip. Neighbors left beer cans both full and empty, ping pong balls and fireball candies for us. - travelbychoice

Very unlevel pull-thru site. Wifi and cable did not work even though we were told they "worked good". Overnight only and would not stay here again. - CSM Carolyn

We had to camp in overflow area near road due to late arrival. Utilities great. Owner very pleasant. Very close to highway. We were able to refill propane tank. Also a U Haul facility. Good for one night stay near I-81. Pizza place delivered pizza to site. Would stay again if passing through area because it was very convenient. - Andrea W

Feb 2018 - $18.00
We camped here in February and there was only one other camper. It was quiet except for the faint noise from the highway. The sites are pretty big, and they have a fire pit, picnic table and a little bit of a workbench for some reason. We paid $18 through self registration when we arrived by using the provided envelopes. A Ranger checked in with us A few minutes later to see how everything was going. Lots of hiking trails here but not much else to do in the winter. We stayed at site 20 which was very close to the Porta John that we used since the bathroom facilities are closed during winter. - The Bees
Dec 2017 - $18.00
I used this campground for a quick overnight stay. This campground recently reopened after a long closure following heavy storm damage, and unlike the other campground at Cunningham Falls, is open year round, but with limited winter service, no reservations taken, and a lower fee charged.
Roads are paved and in excellent condition, but are tight, as are most sites. Sites are gravel and mostly level, but many can be a challenge to get into, this is not a big rig friendly campground. Picnic table, fire ring and lantern post are provided. Sites are spaced well, some closer good for groups, but many are spacious and well apart from other sites. Power at my site showed reversed polarity on the 30amp, and the outlet itself was installed upside down. The 20amp was good. No water or sewer hookups, water is available from spigots throughout the campground.
Shower house was closed for the season, a portapot was provided, but I did not use it. Campground was very dark but there was a good deal of road noise from Rt15, which continues all night long, but this was not an issue inside the camper. I saw no staff, and the campground was otherwise empty. It proved to be a good place to overnight with my small travel trailer. - Cyclonic
Jul 2008 - $30.00
We camped in the Manor area which allows pets. While the sites were relatively close to the road - short driveways - they were nice and fairly level with stone dust pads, fire rings, picnic table and lantern posts. I easily fit my Roo 23SS on the site and oitched a tent for my son and still had plenty of room. It was a short drive up to the Falls and lake area. Park people were friendly. - DaGrinch

Just an overnight stopover. Site long enough - didn't have to unhook from 5th camper. Not exactly right off interstate as you had to go through residential area and down a narrow and curvy road to get to CG. CG appears to be older and has many permanent units. Some are older and have tarps over their roofs. Store decently stocked and showers were clean. Located right on river and appears to be a flood area based on signs along road that state "Flood Area". They had a large "petting" Zoo with Chickens and Goats. OK for overnight stay, but unsure for longer. - Danzilla
Aug 2018 - $91.00
We stayed on Site 33, which is supposed to be the most requested site. It had a fabulous view of the Conococheague Creek and a large patio with both a patio table and a picnic table. There was also a firepit down a set of stairs. We used the pool both days and it wasn't overcrowded even though the pool size was on the smaller size. The one issue we had was our site as a bit unlevel side to side. Our 35' motorhome had trouble autoleveling. I was able to get it level performing the task manually. Our site was quite sizable on the patio side, but the neighbors on the driver's side were much closer (separated by evergreen trees). The downside of our location was the site was located right at the beginning / end of the loop through the campground so there was a decent amount of traffic throughout our stay. Other sites seem a bit tighter. Overall it was a nice stay, especially since we were able to meet up with friends that rented a cabin. It was a bit pricey for the site considering it wasn't a level as one would hope and the overall campground is a bit dated. However the staff were all friendly and happy to help. We would probably return if we were in the area. - We_B_Tripn
Aug 2018 - $75.00
Arrived in bad rainstorm. The adjacent creek was very high, muddy and flowing quickly. A little scary. Noticed no RVs in row adjacent to water. Site was nice but a little close to others. Store well stocked. And pizza delivered by KOA staff delicious. Farm animals in cutesy, fenced areas. Playground, other amenities. Everything lovely just felt a little crammed in with all this. - Andrea W

Jun 2018 - $59.00
We made reservations for a campground called Brunswick Family campground. It is located in Brunswick Md an we paid $59.00 for a premium site(well they call it premium) I call it full hook up because we have sewer(we can't use because I don't have 50ft of sewer hose). No cable,no wi-fi, and no over the air channels. To get to the campground you first have to go through the town that has a very narrow two lane road and the town allows parking on the street. Then you have to make a 90 degree right turn in the middle of town,go through the train station and the parking lot for the train station across 8 railroad tracks to the road and then you turn left on a dirt road and go about a mile past the towns water treatment plant. The road has pot holes large enough to have a class a lost in it. You come to the campgroudnd that looks like a cow pasture with water and electric. The sites are gravel and not level at all. The cancellation policy is “too bad” no matter when you cancel but you can stay some other time this year if you can't make it on the day you chose. In all honesty this place needs to be closed down. If I had to rate this I would give it a negative 4 stars I would go negative 5 but the Potomoc River is in the back of the campground. The campground did flood on June 4th and they are trying to clean it up but I the think they should have called the guests and offered to refund the money since it was sonbadly flooded. Oh well it is part of the adventure and live and learn. I guess I better pay more attention to the reviews - TRR
Aug 2017 - $50.00
Streets through town to get to park are very narrow. After you cross railroad tracks, be ready for a really dusty potholed road to campground. Check in was weird - we were given orange bands to display so staff could know we weren't "squatters". Finally got to "campsite" to find electrical and water hookups were at least 50 feet away. Campsite was on the edge of potential water hole if it rained any at all. Tried to get a refund as we decided we were NOT going to stay. Were told refunds had to be approved through general manager at main off-site office. Called and of course he had just left office for the day. We left to find something else. Refund was finally approved 3 days later. All we can really say is: JUST DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING HERE unless you see it first. Best thing that can be said is that the campground is on the Potomac River. - gwvwadc
Apr 2017 - $50.00
My husband and I had planned to stay here for our first overnight stay in our new 26' TT. The drive to the campground was the first issue we ran across. The roads through town to get to the campground were very narrow and it was hard to make turns at stop lights without running up over curbs. Once we got through town and over the railroad tracks, we went down a very narrow gravel road, pass the sewage treatment plant and arrived at the campground entrance. I will say the lot we attempted to setup at had a very nice view overlooking the river. However, it was an extremely unlevel lot and we did not have very good success trying to setup the camper. After ruining one of our stabilizer jacks, we decided to pack up and go down the road to a different campground. - HappyCampers508
