Another year another enjoyable stay at Atlantic Oaks Campground. Interior loop roads are straight, packed stone/dirt. Some of the roads do have ruts but nothing over the top so just drive slow. Our pull through site was wide and long and our full hookups were in good working order. All the sites are sand but this is a beach area. Bathrooms/showers kept super clean and are well thought out. Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Camp store seemed well stocked and was tastefully decorated. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Best location that I saw around the Cape. We were able to travel both to P-Town and to the mainland with ease. Stayed in our 26' Travel Trailer - 2 adults, 2 kids (ages 6&8). We were in D7 and had PLENTY of room for our trailer, truck and room for the kids to not be on top of us! They do offer some sites where the doors to trailers look onto each other, we still had privacy, even though we were one of these sites (Great if travelling with multiple RV's) Playground: New, well-maintained Bike Path: located at the back of park but gets you directly on the trail. They have even marked the trail site, so you don't get lost. They have garbage and recycling on-site. Laundry: 4 washing machines, 2 dryers at main hub (not sure if there were others). Restrooms: Very clean, water pressure great! We did not have to use the outhouses. It was a very quiet campsite with quiet hours from 10pm-8am and fires must be out (with water) at 11pm. HWY-6 can get very busy, but we had no problem turning left at 7am on our departure day. We did not experience heavy traffic coming in or leaving. They had a nice shop, if you forgot something or needed a quick fix for an item. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Restaurant (Arnolds) within walking distance with an ice cream shop and mini-putt. Gas Station is 1/4 mile when you need to fill-up before leaving. We cycled down to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, about a 5-minute cycle. Groceries were about 10 minutes into Orleans, but Stop and Shop was a full-service grocery store, rather than a roadside market. CCRT - left from the back of the park and we cycled 3 miles to the shoreline (Roundtrip about 7 miles).

Beautiful park. Extremely well maintained with friendly, helpful staff. Location can’t be beat. Right on the bike rail trail so perfect access for bike riders. We were here during record high temps in the mid-90s and did encounter low line voltage at the pedestal when we hooked up at a 30 amp pull-through campsite. I attribute this to unusually high loads on the infrastructure due to very high demand with ACs running etc. This created an issue with our surge protector unit shutting down power repeatedly when voltage dropped below 105 volts. Had to forego the power protection for our stay—how this affected the longevity of the AC unit in our Airstream is ? So, if you are concerned about power issues come prepared. The staff did try to help mitigate the problem as best they could but again we were camping in record high temps for the Cape. Overall high marks for this park. We will be back! We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 7 nights including 4th of July. Rate was $78/night. Received 10% discount for staying 5 or more nights. Online reservation fee was $3.50. Total cost for the week was $494.90 for an average $70.70/night. Online reservation process was simple. Check-in was fast and efficient. Staff and neighbors were very friendly. Campground store is large and well organized with a good selection of items including RV supplies and souvenir/beach items. Hook-ups are well placed and functioned correctly. Verizon cell and Verizon Mifi worked well. We couldn't get a DirecTV signal due to trees but found park cable to be excellent (approx 50+ channels). Suggest unhooking/re-hooking toad at entrance area for maximum flexibility once inside park. Certain interior turns can be tricky (but do-able) for big rigs so take your time. The campground was full during our stay so recommend advance reservations. The location mid-Cape is excellent. It's close to everything. We love it here and would certainly stay again when visiting the Cape. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Love Love Love the Cape Cod Rail Trail for walking, running or cycling. Be mindful of others sharing the trail. We saw a cyclist wipe out because he was going too fast. We took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard on Hyline Ferry from Hyannis including a 2.5 hour bus tour. MV is nice but too touristy for me. The Ferry ride itself was the best part! Cape traffic is real so plan accordingly.

Very quiet park with mostly shade. Sites are large, level, and well spaced. Not many amenities but I wouldn't use them anyway. It's in a great mid/upper-Cape location. It is very close to the Cape Cod National Seashore which offers beaches and hiking opportunities. There is a short path out the back of the campground that connects to the Cape Cod Rail Trail if you like to bike. Numerous restaurants are close by. The Mass Audubon Society Wellfleet Wildlife area is 8 min away and fantastic. You are 30 min to Provencetown and 20 min to Chatham. It's a perfect location for what I like. I'm staying just before prime season so it is not crowded but the weather is gorgeous. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for 5 nights during the off season (October) during a beautiful weather window. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the sites; they are all pull-through and spacious. Although the campground is right off Route 6, it was not noisy. The sites closest to the bike trail (back of the campground) would be the quietest. We did not hook up to cable, though it was available for free. Internet / wifi was decent - not super speedy, but better than a lot of campgrounds. Restrooms were very clean and there were plenty. The showers are separate, private, and unisex. Laundry facilities are available here too. The campground has a small store selling the basic necessities, and also firewood. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The only slight negative was the sometimes loud radio playing in the restroom facility. We could not hear it at our site, however. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The National Seashore Visitor Center is 0.5 miles south. Its worth visiting here to get information and maps for exploring the rest of the seashore and beaches. There is also a trail to walk around Nauset Marsh. The Cape Cod Rail Trail runs in back of the campground. There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby. Provincetown, Wellfleet, Chatham, Orleans are all worth visiting and not far away. There is an Enterprise car rental in Orleans which is very convenient if you don't tow a car.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for four nights and would definitely choose Atlantic Oaks again. The staff were friendly and provided lots of helpful information about things to do on the Cape. Access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail was a real plus; we bicycled to Orleans and enjoyed both the ride and exploring the town. The campground is located in the middle of the Cape, so it was easy to visit the various towns and attractions. Everything about the park was good: very clean restrooms and showers, large dog play area, easy access to walking and biking trails, good quality wood sold for campfires. The only negatives, and they were minor, were somewhat small showers and some road noise from Route 6. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

We again enjoyed our stay at Atlantic Oaks. Our pull through site for this year was the best ever, plenty of room and level. Our 30 amp full hook ups we in good working order. Bathrooms/showers kept super clean. Interior roads packed stone/dirt, our site mostly packed sand. Geography at the campground was lightly to moderately wooded and mostly level. Camp store seemed well stocked and was tastefully decorated. Staff was professional, friendly and informative. Good signal on our Verizon cell phone. Did briefly use off season WiFi with no problems. Seasonal sites were well maintained though they kind of kept to them self's. Transient campers friendly and respectful. Cape Cod Rail Trail is right behind campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

All sites are pull throughs. Rate is for low season after Labor Day. This is generally a very good park but for a few quibbles: getting a spot suitable for satellite TV is difficult (all those oaks). Most useable spots are occupied by seasonals or returning customers who reserved specific, satellite-friendly sites. Most other spots leave the camper with mediocre cable (standard definition, 24 channels, none of them premium) or OTA TV. Try several different staffers and you may find one who will try to find a satellite-friendly spot for you. Lots of mulch and gravel have been imported to alleviate the problems of the sites being on dirt but much of the gravel had dissipated by Labor Day. Sites have been leveled since we were last here two years ago but some spots have sharp drop-offs requiring rigs to be backed out. Wi-Fi and other utilities operated flawlessly. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground is ideally located for central Cape Cod activities; a paved bike trail (the "Rail Trail") is out the back entrance; a great seafood restaurant (Arnolds) is a half block away; the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center is less than a mile distant; and other restaurants and attractions are nearby.

Wellfleet, a couple miles north, has the freshest oysters ever encountered, at Mack's Shack, and open air dining at Mack's on the Pier. Provincetown- the Key West of Cape Cod - is 25 miles north with fabulous restaurants and shops, and a picturesque fishing fleet wharf. The Lobster Pot is a favorite; great food with a wonderful view.

We've stayed in dozens of RV parks throughout the US and Canada and Atlantic Oaks is one of our top 3 places to park for a good long stay. The campsites are spacious, most are shaded, full hookups, clean restrooms and showers, well maintained, friendly staff, well stocked store. Most importantly, you can't beat the location in the heart of Cape Cod. Beautiful beaches nearby with gorgeous sunsets and sunrises, great restaurants in the area, interesting historical sites and towns to explore, the Cape Cod rail trail borders the campground for miles of walking, running, biking. Just a 1/4 mile walk down the rail trail to Arnold's for a seafood meal or an after dinner ice cream cone. Can't wait to go back! We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

If you plan on visiting Cape Cod you need to be there after Labor Day and use this campground as your base. Tight but wooded with an exceptionally knowledgeable staff. Situated right on Route 6 so exiting can be tricky in early morning traffic. There is nothing but good things to say here. We now have the lay of the land and will be back. Staff really helpful. Good laundry facilities. Mostly shady sites. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had full hookups (50 amp) and a pull thru spot. The park was very clean and offered a 'natural' camping experience. There were trees, but many were cut down to make room for the sites. The roads and RV spaces are all loose sand, and the spaces are very close together. When the park is full, there are RVs in every direction you look, kind of like an RV parking lot. However, we did have a pleasant stay here and it was peaceful. It is close to places along Cape Cod. We would stay here again. We camped at Atlantic Oaks Campground in a Motorhome.
