Oct 2019 - $104.00
Very pricey but very nice resort. There is a lot to do here for all ages and there is a restaurant on site that serves B, L, D, and will deliver to your site. The campground is very large and roads are easy to navigate. They have a lot going on during the summer and weekends but we were just using this as a one-night stop so didn't have the opportunity to utilize all the facilities. They do have a nice large indoor pool and two large hot tubs. - Cape Cod kayaker

A very large, park like, urban campground, but without the severe crowding of the typical urban campground. Given the location (just off I-495), the campground is pretty quiet. Some road noise, but not really objectionable. Best access is from Route 1 using Thurston Rd unless the Patriots are playing - the trees were better trimmed than on our last visit. Good asphalt entry with multiple lanes for checkin and unhooking toad if desired. Gated access after the office so make sure to get two gate codes if dropping the toad at the office. Mix of asphalt and gravel interior roads which are mostly a good width - there is one rather narrow section over by the activities building especially if a golf cart is parked there. No issues with big rig access other than this one narrow section. Sites are gravel with a mix of pullings and backins and seemed to be mostly level. Sites have picnic table and fire ring and are well maintained (they rake each site immediately after the rig leaves). Lots of trees, but still feels relatively open. Power, water, and sewer ok. Satellite access is very problematic due to the trees, but we did manage to get a lock on. Campground wifi had good signal @ 8.4Mbps; Verizon 4 bars @ 9.4Mbps; T-Mobile 3 bars @ 6.2Mbps. Full single stream recycle on site. Good road bike riding within the campground, but questionable adjacent to the campground. Overall a good location for the Boston metro area. We will return. - SeaLandSkyPhoto

This is a "TRUE" RV resort! Great directional signage. Staff extremely nice and very helpful. Campground immaculate ... about the best we've seen anywhere. There are an amazing number of facilities throughout; which we did not have time to take advantage of while there. Due to its size, yo can get a lot of walking exercise getting from one place to another. I hope we have another excuse to stay here longer in the future. - dandd

Like others have said, this is an older campground. We found that this is gated park, so make sure to take your key card. Check in was fast, the people were friendly and helpful. They have a limo that will take you to the train station, which is nice and will save you on having to pay for parking. All the connections were easy to locate. The wi-fi was satisfactory, even though you had to sign in every day. We had to keep adjusting our TV antenna, to get local channels. Being in the pull thru area, we didn't have trees to block the satellite TV, so it was fine. We found the road, into the pull-thru area there to be dirt, which had a lot of holes that needed to filled in and leveled. Our coach bounced around like a roller coaster. Our site, as was the whole pull-thru area was grass, dirt, and some gravel. It was kind of hard, in places to tell what was road and what was a site, since the grass has grown up thru the gravel. - Bbtj

This is an old campground with tree cover on almost all of it. Being so shaded most surfaces are dirt. Personally I would rather have the shade than grass. Being an old campground a lot of the amenities are old. They are well maintained and clean. Being so old they look kind of dirty but really are not. It is very much a family campground with a lot of children. I like with children. If you are a bah humbug, you will hate it. There are a lot of permanent and seasonal residents in older trailers that have a lot of junky clutter around them. Many are in desperate need of a cleaning. It gives the place a sort of red neck appearance. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like it and find it gives the place a less stark and more homey appearance. - MichaelInMA

We stayed at the park over Labor Day weekend. The arrival process was very good. Our site was good, fairly level, hard packed dirt and gravel. Maple Street has some nice wide level sites. We had a problem with the water spigot handle being broken and some branches hanging over the trailer. I went to the office and before I got back to the site two employees had already been there and took care of both minor problems. There were two pools both very clean. They had a pirate weekend for the kids that was excellent. The store was well stocked and reasonably priced. They will deliver firewood to your site. Everyone we spoke with on the staff was polite and helpful. There was one noisy area in the campground where a large group was, it did go a little late, about midnight but not out of control. This is an older park and some things are a little dated. The bathhouse was kept tidy but could use renovation. I would recommend this place highly. - Tennessee Mike

Sep 2019 - $55.00
This was possibly our worst camping experience. It began with a $20 charge for arriving about an hour before their check in time. We were sent by a very narrow tree-lined trail to our site in a field. We had to use a 30amp service because an adjacent site needed the 50 amp outlet. Our 30 amp power was turned off by the neighbor all day in 85 degree temperatures when he removed his 50 amp power. We couldn't access the entrance to the facility because of the incoming campers. The facility was poorly maintained. The staff was not caring and unfriendly. I would never use this facility again - Mikec888

This park is in some serious need of maintenance and upgrading. For $50/night I expect the roads to be more than just dirt and cracking upheaved concrete. The sites range from ok to dirt pits. A small rain will have your tires sinking into the mud. The roads are not well marked, you could almost be pulling into an RV site before realizing that it is not a road. The 'street signs' are hard to see, set far back from the actual road. The streets are one way, but no one way markers. That itself doesn't warrant a 1 star review. What got me was the sheer amount of rules and how they were presented. You are a guest at will and your stay can be terminated without notice. No retractable leashes EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY?? You cannot bring in outside firewood, even if it is from the gas station across the street (you are welcome to buy theirs of course). You can't use your own washer or dryer (you are welcome to pay for theirs). If you break either rule, Terminated. Look I get it, there are a lot of people who disregard the rules, but treating people like they are children by default leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If somebody breaks the rules, deal with them kindly on a 1-on-1 basis, but developing a list of rules (by the way, there is more than 1 page of these and even these tell your to refer to the website for MORE rules), and then posting signs all over reminding people of these rules is not the way of handling this. If you were running a resort, an $8 visitor fee would be warranted, and a $10 overnight guest fee. These are outrageous extra visitor rates for a time period when the pool is closed and your 'lawn' is muddy. I get extra people cost extra money, but not $10/night extra, that is just ridiculous. - rayzorben

Very nice park. We stayed 12 days and were very satisfied. The only reason I didn't give the value higher stars was that I feel it is overpriced...but that is the area. The site was roomy and fairly level. Had good internet and cable TV. The site we had felt pretty private and was shady most of the day. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. - GranNan06

Nov 2019 - $63.00
We stayed here on two occasions, both times on the same site. On our first stay we were assigned a pull thru near the office. We could not level the motorhome and didn't want to have the tires off the ground. We requested a different site on a small loop near the Maintenence garage which worked well. Some interior roads ar paved, most are not. Use caution on gravel roads, some have pot holes. We arrived on a fall day and leaves blanketed the grounds making the holes hard to see. Check in was quick and the camp hosts were excellent. No site escort, saw later we were slightly off the gravel surface because of the leaves obscured the site. Utilities worked well. WiFi was free, slow but our connections were consistent. Good selection of cable TV options. The campground was about 20% full so no problems with laundry availability, could be an issue with a full campground. - DJR CMR
Aug 2019 - $77.00
Just the two of us staying in a pull thru, full hook site in the Highlands. Nice and shady, good neighbors, and wonderful staff. We had to move once because of uneven ground, could not find a spot to level our camper. The campground is in the process of converting or upgrading numerous sites to deluxe which includes a patios, stone fire pit, built in grill, metal chairs & table instead of the wood picnic table, and gravel, level site (pull thru & back in). There is Free Wi-Fi and cable, plus a store and office combo along with campground is dog friendly. - KEN9XL
Jul 2019 - $90.00
Stayed here for 17 days to see the area and perform some genealogical research. Cost per night is an average of the daily rate and the much higher "holiday" or weekend rate. The campground is nicely wooded in a fairly urban environment. All services worked as required. Water pressure is very high, so bring your pressure regulator and verify that is works. The site was not as level as indicated, but, with a combination of ramps, I was able to get the MH close to level. Site was all gravel and, after the two rains that we had, and mud. We were in the "Highlands" section which has no bathhouse. Lower bathhouse has the laundry room with 6 washers and 6 dryers. (We used a local laundromat to do our wash to save time and money). I walked through the bathhouse in the lower camping area and it is clean, but has that "well used" appearance. We've seen this before at KOA's as well as other "seasonal" campgrounds: not enough bathhouse to handle the tent camping demand. Verizon voice and data worked fine. Since you are sitting between Boston and Providence, over-the-air TV out performs the provided cable TV in quantity and quality of programming. The office staff was very pleasant to work with and they provided local information that gets you orientated to the area. Interior roads are paved or gravel. We have stayed in other campgrounds in this area and will not return to this campground. - moderate camper

The site was clean with plenty of room on all sides. The attendant was cheerful and very helpful with how to travel and where major stores were. We filled up the camper with water before heading to our site. This area was also very clean. - HappySchultzs
Jun 2019 - $23.00
Very quiet CG. Wooded sites are nicely spaced. Electric only - there are some water spigots spaced throughout. This is a very reasonably priced option near Boston. The restrooms and showers were not clean, but they were usable. - RobertN
Jul 2017 - $23.00
260 site campground with about half with 20 amp electric service. Water spigots throughout. Sites are wooded with mostly hardwood mature trees. There is at least 100 feet between sites. Large sites, couldn't hear neighbors conversations. Loop M backs up to woods so no one behind us. The bathroom was decent for a State Park with 3 shower stalls. The roads are one way smooth and well paved. 12 miles of trails for biking or walking. Fishing and canoeing available. Geocaching in the park. Each site has fire ring and picnic table. Buy your wood when you check it, the campsites are about a mile in. The dump station is conveniently located as you leave. The park is over 3500 acres. The spring house for Mt. Blue spring is down the road to the left going in, to the right leaving. Lots of people come here with gallon bottles getting fresh spring water. - SueBee22

This was not a friendly or easy campground to check into. There's a huge extensive form to fill out (too much information) which we've never had before and we're full-time RVers. She was not very nice or helpful. This is mostly an old trailer park, we had to go to a separate road and gate to camp in a trashy unlevel field. The road in is very bumpy. The bathrooms were clean but smelled bad. Showers were old & worn and very small (not everyone would fit in them for sure). Dump station is kept locked. We had to go to help my sister for a week otherwise I would have left. I don't recommend this park! - Moseyin
Aug 2017 - $50.00
Worst cg we have stayed at yet. Dirt roads with large rocks and potholes. Mgmt tried to put us in a dirt field without fhu. Spoke with mgmt to get that changed to a fhu with some grass. Site looked reasonably level but ended up with a high step when all said and done. Picnic table was in very poor condition. 50amp service would not manage our ACs and other appliances. The maintenance man tried to say no 50amp service would support our big rig. This is soooo incorrect. No problem anywhere else. Smelled bad by bathroom. Probably from the greasy chicken griller trailer. People had dogs off the leash. Another group was playing loud music. Would not recommend this place to anyone. - FT Travelers3
Jun 2017 - $40.00
New owner as of last fall and he is making improvements as he can. The entrance road is horrible. It is gravel and full of potholes. Transient camping is pretty much in an open field. Campground caters to seasonals as we have found to be the case in most independent campgrounds in the Northeast. This could be a good campground in a couple years. - Bamagolfer
