Great park. I look for full hook-ups, cable and wifi, and this park delivered all. The wifi is excellent but can be unstable here and there. The staff is very professional and courteous. Although the park was about 90% full during the three weeks I was here, it was generally very quiet. The sites are closer together than I would like, but that's typical. Lots of trees and a pleasant hiking trail to a nearby lake. I would definitely come back. - CamperChris4

Nifty little RV park surrounded by forest lands. Just 54 sites and only 4 of them are pull-throughs. Sites are fairly level concrete pads with grass on both sides. Sites are relatively close together, but not close enough to be bothersome. Hook-ups are located approx. midway of the site. Interior roads are gravel and somewhat narrow, making some of the turns on the sharp side. But with careful maneuvering, bigger rigs can navigate successfully. Good news is that the park is far enough out into the countryside that it is very quiet. The bad news is that the park is far enough out in the countryside that it is a 20-30 minute drive for fuel and/or grocery shopping. The park is swing gate protected and the park owners/managers operate the incoming gate after you've checked in. After that you need to use the O/R reader on the back of your check-in receipt to gain admittance. Check-in, by the way, was quick and easy and done with a sincere smile. We were there over Labor Day weekend (a 3-day minimum stay, as are all holiday weekends) and the park was full, but quiet. It really is a very nice little park and we'd stay there again. - boardman

Great place, great owners. We had to take an unscheduled trip to New Hampshire from North Carolina for family. We reserved for one week. Then after we arrived we realized that we would be there longer. We spent a month at Field and Stream. The owners told us that they would move us around to different sites and that they would find a spot for us. This was one of the friendliest RV parks we have ever stayed at. We were there over the Fourth of July and the owners had a cook out for the campers...with awesome fireworks after it got dark...the food was great. We are going back next summer for 2 weeks to see family and the campground cookout. There is lake access about a mile way (Potanipo Pond). A couple of more things: The bathrooms are clean, the laundry room is very nice and the prices are low for wash and dry. If you drop off your empty propane at the fill station they will bring back the cylinder filled up to your site. This is one of the few RV parks/campground that we have stayed that the owners will do just about anything to make your stay enjoyable. Verizon cell service was marginal. The paid for the weekly rate less our Good Sam discount. - wahooo

Trees, lots of trees, especially pines, so if you don't like the smell of pines, you won't like this place. The interior roads are tight, as was the site we had. Service was good, and they had someone lead us to our site. Hard to tell, with the pine needles, but it looks like some of the roads are paved and some of them are dirt. Our site looked like it was mostly dirt, covered with pine needles. Getting level and getting connected was no problem. Cable TV worked well, so we didn't try to use the OTA antenna. Satellite wouldn't work at all, due to the trees. Wi-fi worked well, as did out AT&T cell phones. - Bbtj

Not a park for big rigs due to tight turns, narrow roads, and trees. Difficult to back a 34-foot fifth wheel into my site. The commuter rail stations to Boston are not close; drive east or west to nearest stations was 20-30 minutes. - grandflic

Since this state campground is local for me, I was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and nice it was. There is a modern restroom with free showers and two older restrooms that were still clean. The campground sits on top of a hill from the swim area which can make it a hike for little campers. The swim area was a little muck on the bottom but my kids didn't mind. The pine trees offer good shade from the sun. There is also another state park nearby which honors the Pearl Hill camping pass for swimming. Willard Brook has a nicer swimming area but the water is a little colder. We stopped off at it on our way home. They also have camping but they only have one site that our travel trailer would fit on. We drove through it and the road through the campground is a little tight. We definitely would go back to Pearl Hill again and enjoyed our stay and it's really convenient in its location. - B. P. Donelan

This park is not set up for short-term visits. It is a seasonal park. The first site we were offered was too un-level to use. The site we requested was "taken", although it remained empty for the duration of our visit. There is no cable, no wifi, and we could not get any DirecTV satellite service from our site. The road is deeply potholed and the roads leading to the site are very narrow and curvy. Be careful. Not recommended. - SusanRon
Jul 2015 - $18.00
This park is very convenient to the Nashua, NH and Lowell, MA areas. It is a small park on a beautiful lake, and primarily caters to long term residents. The park offers few amenities, but the rates are very reasonable. Comcast cable and phone service is available on every site. The park is closely monitored by the owner via video cameras, and it is not unusual for the operators of the part to come out and meet incoming campers without being prompted. No pool, showers, or Wi-Fi is provided, but if you need a decently priced campground for a long term stay in this area, this park stands out. - tricotec

The Wagon Wheel campground used to be a nice place to camp at. Now most of the camp sites are horse stables. The prices for a night stay have jumped in price from $24.00 a night to $34.00 per night of which is a rip off. If you want bundles of wood the prices jumped from $5.00 a bundle now $7.00 a bundle of not cured wood. The grounds and camp lots are looking not there best. Grass is tall areas are over grown. The playground area looks like something in a horror movie, old rusty and rundown. The swimming pool is not in much better shape old and run down and looks like a home backyard inground pool. It can be very noisy at times staying here as guests do not know how to respect other people with blasting radios and drinking heavy alcohol. Fire pits are always filled with trash and debris of which you will need to clean if you want a fire. The owners charge $15.00 per night if you have a lot with electricity of which is ridiculous. The owners seem to be running the camp grounds more as a horse stable now rather camp grounds and are lacking in maintenance on the camp sites and property. I won't be returning anymore to this camp ground as I have been turned off by the owners charging the over priced fees they are now charging. I feel they are purposely charging these fees to keep the campers out and horse people in ...... It is sad because this USED to be a nice place to camp at. Do yourself the favor and go elsewhere..... There are many other places much better!

Jul 2012 - $39.00
Definitely a seasonal camper park. Pool was clean, bathrooms clean, but obvious most folks are here all the time and they like to police the "short-timers." Take our advice and get the tokens to get in and out of the campground as no one is usually around to assist with the gate. Camp store is barely stocked with anything. It is very close to Erving State park. No cell service. 20 minutes to the nearest store or anything. Glad we only stayed here one night. - mskalar
Jun 2008 - $34.00
This campground is in the rebuilding stages as the current owners has owned it for a year and a half. Talking with some of the seasonals, the owners are making it a much nicer place than what it was. There were a lot of kids for my kids to play with. The playground was easily viewable from our site so that we could keep an eye on them. It was a slow weekend and we got one of their best sites (#S10). The pool was nice and there are strict rules on it's use. Tent sites looked nice under the pine trees. I would go here again. - B. P. Park was rustic with some of the friendliest staff we have ever encountered. Pool was clean roads are rough. Nothing fancy but very nice. Wi fi is very sporadic and unreliable. The cost of $40 per night is reasonable. However the $5 per night surcharge for each pet is not. Though we had a good time at the campground we will not be returning because of the surcharge. - Ollie2

Rustic and old. Only stayed 1 night but hard to keep inside of camper clean. No grass, all sandy. Pool looked nice but did not use. Interior roads very tight. - Bjb1775
Aug 2017 - $38.00
This is an older park with very sharp turns and low hanging branches. The hook ups at our site were difficult to access, not centrally located and need to use extra hose. We feel this park was too expensive. the owner was on site and very helpful, probably the highlight of the park. - Al and Anne-Marie

Nice campground. People are pretty quiet. The Air Force base is right beside the campground. After you're here a few hours you don't notice the planes taking off and landing. Plenty of space for your RV. You do have to go through a neighborhood to get to the RV park. No playground or kid things to do. Laundry mat is okay. $1 a load. If you have a bigger load pay the extra .50. Or you'll be like me and rewashing your bed spread. *******Bring quarters. They won't give them to you here. There are chairs scattered all around the office to hang out. No firepit at the campsites but there is a fire pit across from office lights up at 7:00. Screened in area behind office for hanging out. Lots of seating. Microwave and coffee maker. Restrooms and showers look okay. We never used them. Small half basketball court. That's about it for things to do. Really great location for staying if your touring Boston or all the nearby National Park areas. We would stay here again. - RLKeller
Aug 2019 - $26.00
No frills. Not a destination park, but an okay location to use as a base to visit the Boston area. There are wooded sites that are W/E and open spaces that are FHU. The layout of the open spaces is very strange and when you pull in to the office you have passed the open spaces and either have to back up to the entrance road to drive to your site or drive through the wooded sites. Very bad layout. We were in the open sites area and they were fairly close together. All utilities worked fine and were located properly. They don't accept reservations, which in my humble opinion, is ridiculous. Personally, I hate going to a RV park without reservations. You drive through a neighborhood to reach the park. There is nothing special about the park, but nothing bad either. We would go back but only if we were in a bind to find a place. - jomark
Aug 2019 - $30.00
We stayed here in a 43"' motorhome. We found out once there that the CG isn't really laid out for big rigs. We did get a pull thru that fit us, but wasn't that easy getting around inside the park. First off, you drive through a neighborhood to get to the Famcamp (which isn't on the base). The trees on the street and at the CG had low branches that hit the top of our coach. Once we got into our site, everything was fine. Our neighbor had to pull his awning in so we could leave to make a turn. This is an older Famcamp and needs updating to truly be big rig friendly. - Bdunk

Signage to get to Campground is terrible and don't follow your GPS; once at campground staff is friendly. Campground roads are tight and dirt and mud. I was camping in site 225 that is right on a corner and had no room to park toad without blocking a site on either side of me. A few of the pull trough site in the 200 section are not bad. I had no cell reception at all, and there is a fee if you want internet unless you walk into rec room. There are three nice out door pools and one inside that all looked inviting. There are many many seasonal's and many look very run down and had been there for many years. I will say everyone seemed friendly and place was quiet enough. - TC88
Aug 2016 - $42.00
The park caters to seasonal campers, but has an open field for transient RVs, the "200's." The sites are somewhat cramped in the 200's and getting a 32ft TT backed into some of the spots can be challenging. They have a handful of pull throughs.
A neighbor RV did have problems with the park 50 Amp service, he had to use a dongle to utilize just half of his 50.
The best part of the campground is the pools. The kids had a great time in the pools. Sunday morning we ate in the campground restaurant, which was decent. - johnbaker
Jul 2016 - $46.00
Nice environment, clean restroom/showers, well stocked camp store. Lots of seasonals. Transient site was in tightly packed area. Our site had lots of exposed roots. Cable consisted of 12 channels and was often fuzzy. Wi-Fi for a fee; did not use. Pools were nice. Game room was lacking. Adult rec building becomes breakfast restaurant on weekend and food is good (and reasonable). Single bar on AT&T and Verizon cell service. Overall good weekend experience. We would return. - Bigdave2165

We bought our camper in March of this year and didn't realize we needed to book something for the summer in order to get a spot. I reached out through email and within a couple days received a response from the owner that they have no more seasonal spots but she can do monthly and gas saver deal in order to make it work. When we arrived May 10th, campground opening day, we were pleasantly welcomed by all staff. Our site is right across from the playground. I LOVE it cause I can see my children playing at all times. We have kayaks which we tied to a tree by the lake front. The campground is SUPER dog friendly which is a HUGE plus for me cause a lot of other places I called before they weren't or had very strict rules. Lots to do. Great gated campground that you can walk day and night. This is honestly the first campground that we've been to in a long time and we love it! - Aj4ct
Sep 2017 - $50.00
We've stayed several times at Woodmore. Quiet campground. Sites have plenty of trees so you don't feel so open to your neighbor. Cell phone service good and they have cable. Large play area for the kids. Owners and staff are great! - Lover of Cairns
Sep 2014 - $36.00
This was the first time we have stayed at Woodmore. The website gives you the idea that they are strict, and very rule oriented. While I understand there have to be rules, I don't care for very strict parks. Rather, we should all govern ourselves respectfully without having the management getting involved. That being said, we had no issues with this park at all! The staff was great, we met both of the owners (Husband & Wife, great folks). They were curious and friendly. They do adhere strictly to the site occupant limits, and we had to rent a second site to accommodate the one adult (5th adult) that we were over the limit by. The site we had was at the end of the "T" section. They seem to section off the seasonal from the traditional campers (good idea IMO). The sites varied greatly in terms of size. Some sites were quite small, but ours was a perfect size for our HTT. The amenities were all in great condition, and well maintained! The Bocci court was the best we've seen in 2 Summers, we played for hours!! They have paddle/row boats & cohoes for rent. We rented 3 boats and all went for a nice paddle around the lake, let the kiddos explore the tiny island right offshore (told them it was a treasure island, we couldn't wipe the smile off their faces!!). The bathrooms & showers were nice & clean. Showers are extra large & roomy. My wife had an issue with the hot water in the showers on the first morning. We spoke to the owners and they PROMPTLY resolved the issue. This was a great CG. Family oriented, friendly ownership & staff, great facilities & amenities. We will be back in 2015 for sure!! As a note: I only gave them an 8 for a couple of reasons. 1)The majority of the sites were quite small. When we return, it will be contingent on getting the same site we did this time. There were no other sites that appealed to us (too small, not enough separation etc.). 2)The firewood they sell was all pine. It was a nice service, and the price was good ($7 for a barrel of it, and they bring it right to your site). But it wasn't difficult to go through 3+ buckets a day for a decent fire (we like having nice fires). - BigNuge
