We stayed at Beach Rose for a home base for trips to Gloucester, etc. The sites were level, all services worked great. Very friendly seasonal neighbors gave a whole list of written tips and places to see and eat. We were lucky enough to be given the only pull through site, 43, which is large and on the end of the single loop. Otherwise I think we would have had difficulty finding room to maneuver a back in site as there are many cars along the road. This is a park for couples, no real activities within the park for kids etc, and in that respect it was exactly what we wished for! We hope to return. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in October because it is one of the few parks in the area open until the end of the month. The park is small but very well kept. Our site 21 was probably one of the best they have and we were lucky to get it without having a specific reservation. Many of the sites are quite closely spaced but this one feels very private in comparison. The site parking pad is concrete and surrounding area well-kept grass. So well-kept in fact that they don't allow tents or carpets on the grass. The utilities were reliable. The location is pretty ordinary but relatively convenient to multiple beaches, Boston, Portsmouth, and between. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Park is crowded, with sites close together and short. Barely enough room in front of the RV for our small car. Many were parked on the grass. Road is tight and parking took some back-and-forth maneuvering. Many seasonal and long-term units. Plus is concrete pads (completely level) and decent grass and picnic bench between them. Some amenities like shuffleboard, pool, etc. We just overnighted so didn't use any of them. Two fenced dog parks - one very small and one huge. Large dogs would enjoy the big one. Cable: pretty good. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We don't recommend the nearby Hungry Traveler restaurant. Two marginal entrees, one drink (not great) and tip were $65. There are others but we were told we would need to change out of our jeans and t-shirts to go there.

The owner does not care. Wifi was not available at our site and he just said "that is why it is free". No one other than those of us who were overnighting were friendly, including management. On the plus side they did have a complementary continental breakfast and a community dinner. There are fire rings but you almost in the bushes if you use those on the perimeter of the park. Not very safe. We would not stay here again. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Spend time and visit Gloucester, Rock Port and Salem. They are all big tourist destinations but lovely to visit. Great Lobster Pond - David's - where you can get lobster to cook yourself at a very reasonable price.

Campground is only a few miles from the beach and convenient Salem and Boston. It's a bit of a drive but while there we visited Salem, Boston and the beach. Sites are close together but it's a clean park. Good utilities and ease of hookup. Pad was concrete and dead level. Park is gated and you have to have a key to enter, so it felt secure. Wifi was just ok (as usual for RV parks). They have two dog areas, one a small fenced area and another large wooded fenced area. Our dogs LOVED it. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

We picked this park because it was close to sites we wanted to visit. It's a small park close to Salisbury Beach. The drive along 1A up to Maine is beautiful. We visited the USS Albacore, Salem Witch Museum, and other sites. The staff meet us and guided us to our site and helped us pull in. That was needed as the sites are small and tight! Sites have a fire ring but your to close to use it safely. The sites have concert pads for each leveling. Good area for our 80lb dog. Garbage is picked up daily. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very easy access, close to ocean, lots of beautiful views as you travel Hwy. 1A, staff was accommodating, & park very clean. Our biggest complaint was the wifi and we couldn't get satellite due to trees - the cable was just ok. The explanation we got for wifi was not believable as we were pulling wifi from a motel down the road. Might have to put some $$ into the system but for the size of the park - wifi should not be problem. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed in this park over a month. The staff is very nice and helpful. Since the park is small and very tight one of the staff helps guide you into your slot. The wifi is weak and undependable. If you're a T Mobile wifi customer that is very spotty in this area as well. If you're on DISH tv forget about it because the trees block the satellite. The park cable is only average and not very sharp. The utilities on top of your already expensive rent is 25 cents/kilowatt. We only stayed here because they were opened past the date we needed for our stay. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a small and compact RV only campground. The gate closes about 8 PM and you are issued a gate keycard without deposit but sign an agreement to pay if it not returned on departure. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price for an overnight stay is among the highest we've ever paid and is probably due to its proximity to the coastal beaches; peak season and holiday rates are even higher. The sites were level and in close quarters to each other and the majority were back in. A few were longer but most would have to disconnect and park across the front of their trailer. The park is along busy Hwy 1A but the traffic noise was minimal and I didn't notice it at night. The cable worked well, and the wifi was typical of most campground. This is the probably the best RV park in the area and I would have rated it much higher if the sites were angled for easier backing and the price was not so high off season. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Northern Massachusetts ocean beaches*, shops and restaurants in nearby Newburyport and Amesbury. *During peak summer, the voracious green head flies can be a problem.

Small RV park with paved road and sites have concrete level pads. Park is very neat and clean. Trash is picked up each morning at your site. Check in is easy and staff is exceptionally helpful. You are guided to your site and assisted in parking. Gate key is provided at no deposit but a charge will be made if gate key is not returned. AT&T is weak, cable is excellent. Some rigs are able to use satellite but our site was too close to the trees at the edge of the campground. WiFi is available. We stayed for two days. Tips for other Campers:

Salisbury is a small beach town but just across the bridge on Rt 1 is Newburyport. Shopping, restaurants and sight seeing are abundant. The museum of the oldest coast guard station is in town, well worth seeing. We ate at the Black Cow, an excellent beef and sea food restaurant right on the water.

Overall Rating:

A very compact campground relatively close to the beach. Pretty quiet except during the Friday traffic to the beach and the Sunday return during the season. Single lane asphalt access road circles the campground. Closely packed sites with concrete pads and grass in between the sites. Our site was barely big enough for our rig (44' class A). Toads are parked adjacent to the rig (in what would normally be the patio area) unless the rig is short enough to allow the toad to park in front of the rig. Our site was barely wide enough to allow the toad to be parked next to the rig and still get the door of the rig open. Our neighbor's pickup truck was parked partially under our window awnings. Getting a big rig into a site and out of it is highly dependent upon what is in the adjacent sites and the sites across the access road.

Power OK even under load, water OK (80 psi), sewer OK. Good wifi signal with reasonable speed most of the time. TMobile 1 bar of 4G with NO data connection. Verizon 3 bars LTE with OK speed. No problems with satellite access. Some onsite recycling (plastic, cans, glass). While there were bike lanes adjacent to the campground, the road traffic was pretty heavy at times.

We will have to think about it as to whether we would come back. It is certainly not a good park for an overnight. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good Sam has this park listed as 10,10,10. Somebody got paid. The parking spots are very small and you have to put quarters in the shower. I think that is totally outrageous. All they have going is the location. I will never pass this way again. This is the first time I have been moved to write a review. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
