Country location draws lots of seasonal campers who leave their RV on site and commute daily or on weekends. Nice open area with great playground facility. There were PAY showers. - grandflic
Aug 2019 - $60.00
Nice family camp if looking for that. Hordes of kids running around. Golf carts everywhere many driven by folks that looked way to young to have a license per the requirement. Had to stop there for overnight and required to pay two nights as it was Friday. Very close sites in most dailies. Every site seemed to have many cars and occupants, though not seemingly in accordance to the rules. Many sites wooded but seemed seasonal. As a nightly camper, we seemed to have been placed at the busiest location. Major entrance road on one side. Playground on a corner. Seemed to hit that all trip. - lefield

Campsite in Mass are hard to find. This one is good enough for over night stay. Staff very friendly and help show you to your site. Roads are gravel/dirt and very narrow. Have to take it very slow but manageable. Lots of seasonal sites, but seem to be clean for the ones we saw. Very family oriented and had a program with various activities. Not much to do in the local area. Site was just long enough for our 41 ft motorhome and toad. - DrDanP

Water and electric only, no sewer, but convenient dump station as you leave. Make sure you use the Westover blvd gate.... the main gate will turn you away. Follow directions from Westover gate and you will find it with no problems. Oddly sandwiched between some sort of beverage distribution warehouse, members' club and rec rental. Sites are level and back in. Not a highly-cared for camp, much overgrown grass and weeds. Firepits not emptied. Picnic tables are hit or miss. Office staff was kind and efficient. A safe, level, affordable place to stay. - DebbieT in Alabama

Very nice military campground. Quiet area with wide sites and clean showers and clean FHU's. Office staff very helpful with local attractions and base information. Call ahead as they do not take reservations. - boomerlee
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This is a first come first served military campground. It is not a great campground either. Parking pads are concrete but entrance to site is just dirt, rocks and dead grass. Fire ring was overgrown with weeds and full of trash. Picnic table was useable. Bathhouse is strange especially the shower area. There is a big room in both men and women's restrooms. There is only a long bench for all three showers to use and absolutely no privacy before or after stepping into/out of the shower. The room is quite large and it seems that some sort of privacy could be arranged. The water does not taste great but the utilities (no sewer) worked fine. Verizon cell and hot spot worked well. The campground is not easy to find and we got an unfriendly feeling from the gate guard to the campground staff. There are several commercial business near the campground that were busy through most of the night. This is not up to the usual standards of most military campgrounds. We would not stay here again. - roadking

Sep 2018 - $40.00
This is great little campground. The owners are awesome and very friendly. Park is well manicured and clean. Not a ton of things to do but they make a very good effort to make the weekends interesting with events and games. Lots of hiking trails all over and not far from the Town of Sturbridge. Nice place to relax and chill. Quiet hours very well observed as the campground seemed to go to bed around 9:00 pm. Try to avoid Dean Hill Road as your route as it's very steep and curvy. Take East Hill Road instead, it may add 2 miles to your trip but a much better ride. Gray water only but dump station available on exit. We will go back next year. - Thomas Beau
Aug 2018 - $38.00
We stayed in the overflow parking area. I never walked around in the park itself. The road in has many turns and we wondered what would happen if another MH was coming from the other direction, very narrow in places. We had this very large field all to ourselves which we liked. We stayed an extra day because one of the pups got sick and had to take it to a vet. Many families there. The two pools and basketball court were close to us. - Sunnie-Wheelhouse
Aug 2017 - $38.00
The park is located in the forest off the beaten path. The highway to the park is narrow, so drive slow. The staff is so helpful and are the nicest people! We liked them all. They also take you to your camp site and assist with parking your RV after registration. It is quiet park, and very nice and clean. We had site O11, which was an excellent site with 30 AMP, water, and a grey sewer. We had a brick fireplace in a raised seating area for our campfire. There was small site lights too on posts. They have a dump station for your black tank. We relaxed and enjoyed our stay here. They have a store, pool, and activities for the kids. The laundry room was clean and inexpensive for wash and dry. There are electronic games, pool table, tv, and internet next to the laundry room. The only ding was the tree sap that got on our truck from the pines. Use the Gojo without the grit to remove it from your vehicles. We enjoyed our stay here, and we would definitely return if in the area again! - Lindy White

It is clear the owners love this piece of land. We didn't use any services while there as we are self contained and spent most time with friends and in Hartford. Spacious and beautiful. Well maintained. Sites could be better marked. Looking forward to our next stay! - User2747
Jul 2017 - $45.00
Cash and check only. It is a little off the highway so it is not easy off, easy on. We stayed here for one night and were parked sideways out in a field. Had plenty of room and the grass was well maintained. Did not drive in the rest of the park, we were right across from the tent camping. Only needed one night so we were satisfied, but would not stay for any length of time. No sewer and could not get satellite, 30 amp service, no wifi. The gentleman in the office was friendly and even came out to help us move some tables to so we could park. Think $45 is a little high for what you get. - Old Farts
May 2012 - $40.00
The owner of this campground is a wonderful lady! She made us feel like we were family during our visit to Mineral Springs. We loved the large property and took some beautiful walks around the campground. We didn't like all of the seasonal campsites--some end up looking a little dumpy in our opinion. We also felt like the campground as a whole was a little rundown and needed some fresh attention. Though we didn't go into the bathhouse, we agreed that we probably wouldn't want to because it looked so old. With that said, the kindness of the campground owner made our family feel so welcomed and we left our stay with very happy family memories. - User2536

Back in site for a 45' motorhome with plenty of room for dolly and car. Very few full hook up sites, backed up to trees and couldn't get satellite reception, no cable. Open field with grass and dirt. Only 50 gal capacity for sewer, gray water has to dump very slowly or it will overflow. Friendly hosts. No 50 amp in our section. Can't comment on the rear portion of campground in the trees which is mostly seasonal campers. - Jimbo1973
Jun 2019 - $42.00
This is a nice, smaller size family run campground. Mostly seasonal residents who take great pride in keeping their sites clean and well manicured. RVs look newer too. We stayed here for one night as a stop-over stay on our way to CT. We had a spot on Snobb Hill - the grassy field where short-term stays are housed. It was fine for what we needed for that one night. There are other spots in the wooded area for longer stays. 69A is a nice, secluded spot. Would recommend for a quick stay. As others have posted, there is nothing to do in this area except for Sturbridge Village so just know that. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. - a688218
Aug 2018 - $42.00
Very rough interior roads, jacks sunk into soft ground, low voltage, (115-116), surge protector showed an open ground when we arrived. Maintenance arrived in 3 minutes and repaired. I was impressed. This campground uses a 2 pipe sewer system. Gray goes into a leach field. Black goes into a 50 gallon tank that is pumped out by staff as needed. Gray water is leached into the ground for irrigation. Beware! You cannot open your gray water valve normally and empty any accumulated water in your tank. It has to trickle out or will bubble out of the pipe onto the ground. Owner was unapologetic and said I had the instructions for the two pipe system. True, but they said nothing about not being able to open your gray valve normally. She said the instructions said to ask questions. I said I didn't have any. I followed the instructions exactly. She said they always talk to the men because the women don't get it right anyway. My wife checked us in. They didn't talk to me and I am not sure I cared for the demeaning remark about my wife and women campers in general. I visited with the other owner earlier and he was fantastic. Bottom line she screwed up by not giving me enough information and then assumed that "aggressive defensive" posture when I said they needed to update the instruction sheet. She said in 31 years nobody had complained about the instruction sheet. Oh well. I have been camping 50 years and have not run into "full" hookups where you couldn't open your valve normally. Should I have known that??? I don't think so. This was all about communication or the lack there of. Be informed about sewer. - Sons an

Aug 2016 - $33.00
Just needed place for overnight stop. Park appears to be still under construction with many areas with rough road and partially completed grading. Grass area was OK but sites were not level. Luckily we were mid week so many sites to choose from so we could move around to get to a level site. Rough gravel roads. Buildings still under construction. OK but rough unfinished look. Overpriced for condition of facilities. - Tireman9
Aug 2016 - $33.00
Very rough roads entering sites. We had a grassy site and it was very soggy after rains. Site was pretty much level. Did not use facilities so unsure of them. Paid for internet usage and it was for nothing. Do not waste your money !! - Trucker 2
Oct 2012 - $30.00
This campground needs a lot of help. At least the check-in was friendly and efficient. Interior roads are rough, signage is inadequate, and some sites have utility problems. Equipment and junk are scattered around the campground. Due to heavy rain, the grassy sites were somewhat boggy in spite of fairly good drainage so leveling was a bit challenging. Wi-Fi didn't work. If in the area again, I would try very hard to find another overnight campground. Sadly, the Brimfield area is still showing the effects of the 2011 tornado. - Scott & Nancy

Aug 2019 - $57.00
1. No sewage hook-up for our site, but they still charged the same $57/night as those who did have sewer hook-up. When I questioned the fairness of this cost, the office just shrugged and thought that it was quite normal to charge the same cost even though the service was less. I've never experienced this line of thinking in my travels. 2. No Wi-Fi available except at the office. 3. The open field site was just barely wide enough to accommodate one's push-outs and awning without encroach on the neighbor on either side. 4. The beach area was a mess, and the water weeds canceled the idea of swimming. 5. The overall attractiveness of the entire campground was kind of slovenly; the roads were in poor condition; and it was just not a high end camp...more on the other end of the spectrum. 6. For $57/night, I expected a much better camping experience and am surprised that Adventure Resorts of America endorses Quinebaug Cove as one of their partners. 7. Whoever designed the layout, obviously did not use travel trailers. The power, water, and cable were all located by the road and not at the end of the site. Unless one has double the normal length extension cords, water hoses, and cable cords, one must set up the trailer with the tong up near the road. If one backs the rig to the back end of the site, then you can't reach the PW & C outlets. This also greatly took away from available space for the tow vehicle to park. - Retirementrocks

One of our campground memberships is with RPI and this campground is included in that membership. We are supposed to be able to stay in RPI campgrounds for $10 but booking costs another $2 and, upon arrival I was informed that since I wanted electricity there is another $3 a night tacked on. It's still a low price but a surcharge for electricity seems a bit over the top to me. Anyway, our campsite was reasonably level and very close to our neighbors on each side. Really, there is barely room for an awning to be put out. Also, since the campsites are rather shallow, the only place to park our pickup was between us and the folks next to us. This makes the "packed in" feeling even more pronounced. There are other sites for travelers at the top of a rather steep hill. I saw several campers up there, and the sites are roomier, but I wasn't sure I wanted to pull our 5th wheel up such a steep hill. Since our stay was only two nights I was okay with the tight quarters where we were. The campground has a nice big pool and several kids were enjoying it. My Verizon signal was great and I was able to get satellite TV by putting our tripod just outside our front door and raising it to its maximum height. Everyone I talked to in the campground, especially the staff, was friendly and helpful. I think this place is okay for travelers who want a brief stop or for those who want a seasonal spot to get out of the city. As a traveler it wouldn't be very high on my list as a place to spend anything beyond a night or two. - nazpaz

This is a mostly seasonal park with many old run-down units. The access roads within the park are in awful shape with potholes and overhanging branches. They need to do better with making people pick up after their dogs. Many remains lying about. You must travel through several residential neighborhoods before reaching park. The literature says it is big rig friendly, but we do not agree. We will not stay here again. - birdlady4810
Oct 2005 - $27.00
This campground has definitely changed for the better since the last review that was left in 2003. My husband and I (and our cats) really enjoyed this campground and we highly recommend it. We've been to many campgrounds and this is one of our favorites. It is in a very nice neighborhood in Tolland, CT. We ended up staying for much longer than we had originally planned. When you first pull into the campground the sites are out of view. Beyond the office you will drive down a lovely pine tree-lined road beside a small lake- beautiful setting. One of the owners was frequently, deligently attending to the upkeep of this lake (which allows swimming). There is a great selection of wooded or open sites. For the children there is ball field, playground, rec hall (with video games, pool tables and more) and the lake. They also have propane available and a small general store. Furthermore, the restrooms and grounds were always clean. We saw a maintenance man at the restrooms everyday as well as someone attending to the grounds. The staff and owners were so friendly. They truly went above and beyond- great people. Definitely give this one a try! - bandh

May 2009 - $28.00
I was with a group of four families that camped here Memorial Day weekend, 2009. This facility appears to be entirely run by an older couple who are in over their heads. The campground itself is nice enough, but the infrastructure is crumbling around them. Our first problem was with the pressure relief valve on the water faucet. It leaked like a sieve on my site and an adjoining one, and when I reported it, the solution was to hook up a “Y” connection with another site that didn’t have a problem. Good thing the neighbor was accommodating! The next problem was with the power. One in our party has a 36 foot Class A motorhome and their site had only 15 amp service! The solution was to again swap with someone who had a 30 amp connection. We were on their safari field and there were hoses and cords running all over the place. The roads in the campground were in deplorable shape with deep ruts and washouts, so you had to move extremely slow in order not to bottom out your rig or tow vehicle. The area near the dumping station was extremely bad, where we actually backed up and turned around our units, rather than having to traverse the affected area. We had a minor problem with our billing because a child over 5 who was supposed to be with us when we booked the reservation wasn’t, so we had $12 coming back to us. Asking for our refund seemed to be an imposition, and the owner was indignant that one of our party couldn’t make it because of a medical condition and wanted to know how she was going to get the balance owed! On the plus side, they had activities like cards, bingo and a DJ, as well as horseshoes and bocci, although the latter two I think were mostly pick up games with a group that appeared to know each other. The hayride advertised in their flyer never materialized and the pool looked like it was not quite ready for prime time with algaecide foam floating on the top. A point of interest is that they actually have the remnants of an old sawmill within their office/store/game room complex. Also a plus is that their rates were a very reasonable $36 a night for a holiday weekend. So overall I’d say that we probably won’t return due to the poor condition of the facilities and the attitude of the two people we had to deal with, who I assume are the owners. The overall attitude can be described as grumpy. If what I have described would not be concerns to you, then this place can be considered a good value. - grumpah

They have large sites which was perfect for our group of 18 adults and five dogs. We got two sites side by side, but really could have comfortably all stayed on one. We had 10 tents of varying sizes between the two sites and two pop up canopies. There was ample room for everyone, their gear, and room for the dogs to run on their leads and not get too tangled in anything. We stayed lakeside and couldn't have been happier with our stay. If you are thinking about staying on the backside of the lake, fear not, there are port-o-potties on that end since there is no running water back there. The lake was great even this early in the season. I'm already working my calendar to get back. It was just such a peaceful trip. Every fire pit comes with a grill grate attached, which folds back if you don't want to use it. The sites were BL3 A and B. Even if someone was staying adjacent to you, you wouldn't hear much unless they were really rowdy, great tree coverage really cuts the noise. - ChelseaKay

An older RV campground. Convenient off I-84 Exit 70. Pull through site was a sharp curved site that was difficult to maneuver through it because of trees and difficult to level. 30/20 Amp service with water. Utilities located on the wrong side of RV, required extra water hose. Dump station on site. No WiFi, 3 bar/4G Verizon service. No cable, didn't check OTA channels. Cash or check only. 70 to 80 percent seasonal residents. Fire pit too close to RV to use. Lake with swimming beach. - Bburgbrewer
Aug 2018 - $45.00
This was interesting as they are listed in the PA book and also listed on the web site but when we arrived they said they no longer accept PA or anything else for a discount so we paid the full price of $45. This was too high for water and electric (no sewer). We did look at the dump and we could not get there because of a very tight turn and very low branches. The site was not level, but did notice other sites that did appear to be level. The positive item is that it is a pretty easy on/off the interstate. - Al and Anne-Marie
