As I understand it, a lot of improvements have been made to this park in the last couple years. That's what they told us, anyway, it was our first visit here. But we'll definitely be back, I think this will be a spot we come to often. First off, this is a family park, it is definitely geared towards families with kids. If you don't want to be somewhere there are lots and lots of kids running around, probably don't camp here. There are kids absolutely everywhere. For those of us camping with our kids, though, this place has a lot to offer. The swimming ponds are nice, with floating docks and beach areas. The swimming pool is nice and clean. You do have to keep separate swimsuits for pond and pool, so plan to have extras on hand of you want to swim in both. There is a jumping pillow. That and the mini golf are the two things that cost extra. Mini golf is just ok price-wise, but the jumping pillow is quite reasonable. The playground is ok, a few metal slides and some swings. Not fancy, but nicely painted and useable. There is a goat enclosure, you can pet and feed them. They had games and events for the kids on the weekend such as a giant slip n slide. It's a fun, inexpensive family camping weekend. Be advised that it's very narrow in the park. It's basically a big loop around the campground and it's one lane. On a busy weekend, cars are parked along the road everywhere, it's very tight to get through with a big camper, and backing into a site will probably mean asking 2 or 3 people to move their cars to give you room to maneuver. I did it on a full weekend with a 37 foot trailer, but it was super tight. And if you need to get on the road on Sunday morning, plan to get an early start. With only one lane, it's a lot of waiting while people hitch up and try to make the turns to get out. Patience is key. The only other negative is there's just the one bathhouse, depending on where you stay it might be quite a walk to get there. We camped at Tri Pond in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Many activities for families - barn with goats & chickens, mini golf, wagon rides, fishing pond, snack shop, bingo, crafts. Half of the campground is seasonal so book sites early. Nice new cottages if you are not a "camper". Very friendly campers and owners. We have camped here many times and are looking forward to coming back. We camped at Tri Pond in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Michigan was 20-30 minutes down the road, perfect for a beach day and something different. City of Allegan was 10-15 minutes away with shopping, grocery, movie theater, ice cream, restaurants, etc.

Overall Rating:

This campground was a nightmare. Take them at their word that it is a FAMILY campground. This means a hundred unsupervised children are running the streets from the crack of dawn until midnight. This beautiful Park is ruined by the atmosphere of hillbillies hanging their laundry out, drinking beer for breakfast and having a riot laughing and drinking beer until asked to please be quiet. Visits to the office were met with nods of the head by teenaged girls in charge. We finally left a week early with more vacant stares and no offers of a refund. This is the perfect getaway for a large extended family who love the camping experience with campfires and hayrides. The ponds and pools are beautiful. The other older campers are friendly and sympathetic. The cabins and cottages are awesome. For a class A, the spaces are small with lots of trees to navigate around. Forget using your satellite. We camped at Tri Pond in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very quiet area. Excellent shopping twenty minutes away in Holland and saugatuck. Beautiful grounds. No trash pickup. Must us dumpsters which were overflowing by end of weekend.
