Jul 2009 - $37.00
Christian based campground. No alcohol allowed. Lots of things to do. Great programming during summer months. Swim area is well designated in lake. Horseback riding available. Staff very helpful. Dump station easy to maneuver. - Not-so-grumpy Sam
May 2019 - $21.00
We are currently here for the first time and have a seasonal rate. Even after devastating damage from a storm Oct 2018, the park is manicured , most areas have green grass except where trees were cleaned up. The sites are wide and if anyone can't miss the posts they have a problem driving. A previous poster indicated no playground. They do have a slide, swingsets, horseshoes, volleyball pit, basketball court, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, the White Pine Trail goes right by it so you can walk, job, bike for miles in either direction on a paved path. There are other trails also. Fire pits and picnic table at each site. Staff has been wonderful. Clean bathhouse/showers, a pavilion and 3 camping cabins available to rent. No problem with our 50 amp elect, water pressure is good and sewer connection exactly as we expected. There is only 1 section with sewer available but there is also a dump station. The park did lose many trees in the storm, but there are still shady areas throughout. Would have given a 9 or 10 if roads were a little wider and sites has gravel, asphalt or cement pads. - User2260
Jul 2018 - $33.00
Two showers each for men and women that barely have water pressure, no grass dirt dusty camp sites if you can get your camper in your site trees crowd the site entrance, fire pits in the worst spot in the site, water hookups and electric hookup to where you have to use every inch of your electric cord and water hose, no playground for the kids. - Chuck morey
Jun 2013 - $32.00
A Hidden Gem!! Wonderful place to camp. The campground staff was very friendly and always ready to help in any way. Campground host was awesome! The lots were fairly large and were shaded. The area was quiet. We would definitely camp there again! - User3075
Sep 2019 - $75.00
Excellent family RV Resort with lots for kids to do. The site we were given was a back-in that was about 6" low in the rear. This made leveling interesting. I don't like lifting the rear very high with jacks as our parking brakes are on the back wheels. Therefore, we could not get level and looking around at others all the 5th wheels were set up on several leveling blocks in the rear. For a short stay that was "ok" but for long stays it would not work for motorhomes. Landscaping on the drivers side made accessing the water compartment a challenge. We stayed in a motorhome. - Thorman
Jun 2019 - $70.00
We stayed here the end of June. We had a large concrete back in site #61. All utilities were in good shape and working properly, except for the cable which was very fuzzy. It was hot the entire weekend. Never had a low voltage issue. Water pressure was good. Park is very clean and they work to keep it that way. This is a mostly seasonal resort with about 50 or so overnight spots. But everyone was friendly. Pool was great with awesome views of the river. The marina area was also very nice and relaxing. We will be back again and probably rent a boat! - dodge guy
Aug 2018 - $47.00
A very nice campground with wide roads and easy navigation. This place is a resort and has some really nice amenities for all ages. Site were spacious and well appointed and hook ups were good. This place was clean and landscaped. A really relaxing stay in a resort quality atmosphere. I would stay here again. - Beware thyself
Jun 2013 - $22.00
This is a nice park. We chose it to be near our friends that live nearby. The sites are grassy and mostly level; it was soft the week we were there due to the recent rains. No pets are allowed which was fine for us. The park is mostly a seasonal park that gets busy on Thursday and lasts until late on Sunday. Monday-Wednesday the park is very quiet. The restroom/shower facility near our site needs updating but was adequate. The park has W/E only but there is a dump location as you leave. We found the park filled with friendly families that know each other and have been coming for years. We kayaked and fished the river - caught enough fish for lunch. We would visit again. Be prepared for little if any Verizon signal, and we could not locate our satellite signal. We did receive a few channels on our antennae. Good Sam's discount. You must pay for a county pass either a daily fee or season fee to help the county maintain the park,so this is added to your bill. - westie0506
Jul 2006 - $20.00

Aug 2019 - $33.00
The park is well taken care of, the people running the park were very friendly and helpful. It is not a fancy park, but very clean. - Larry Burkett
May 2018 - $27.00
Very friendly family oriented camp. Kids and dogs loved it. Camp was mowed and clean. - Boomlake
Jul 2019 - $40.00
Their pull-thru sites are not very spacious so as a result they recommend you disconnect your towed vehicle prior to pulling into the site. Only two sets of washer and dryers which seems somewhat spares for a popular campground with lots of children. Also my family had to drive to the laundry only to see signs that stated "golf cart parking only". I suspect you have to rent the golf carts. They parked our Jeep anyway and no bother them. - bpatter1
Sep 2017 - $39.00
We stayed over the Labor day holiday weekend and really enjoyed our visit. Our campsite was big enough and right nearby the main building so we were near the daily entertainment. The pool was really nice, as were the bathroom and showers. The kids are already asking when we can go back. - naner
Aug 2016 - $39.00
We stayed in this campground for one night. While it would probably be good for a longer stay as well, it was great for an overnight visit. The entrance is a little over a mile from the US-131 exit: very easy to get to. Since the time we arrived was later, the office was closed, but our reservation and site info was posted at the office door. And the owners checked on us later to make sure all was well.
Our site was very good size, as are most sites in the park. We were at a full hook-up site in what appeared to be a newer area so there were not trees and shade, but some of the electric/water sites had good shade. There were a lot of season lease sites but they appeared to be well maintained and many were in a separate area.
While we did not use it, the pool was beautiful and appeared to be quite new. The showers appeared to also to be quite new. The bathrooms, while older, were well maintained and clean. There are a number of recreational facilities available at the park (mini golf, rec room, basketball, etc.). We could only receive a few TV stations. The cell phone reception was good. Wi-fi worked well. The nearby town does not have a lot of businesses and we could not find any fast-food type restaurants close for a quick supper.
We recommend this campground and will stay here again when we are in the area. - RXA-ADM
Oct 2019 - $35.00
Hillside Campground and Cabins is a brand new campground in the Evart Michigan area. Northern Michigan is an outdoor recreation gem, with the beautiful Muskegon river running through it. Hillside Campground is an all grass campground with a two acre pond and spacious campsites and cabins. This campground offers a clean, safe and peaceful place to stay for a night, weekend or longer. We travel in a 40' diesel pusher. - Dhoch
