Aug 2018 - $44.00
Our site was small and dirty. Once we checked in, the emlpoyees avoided us. They didn't speak, wave, etc. Upon check in, a HUGE deal was made about the 5 MPH speed limit, yet people raced around all weekend. The free root beer floats were nice, as was the kids church on Sunday. All of the barking dogs were annoying! - dallas 66
Sep 2016 - $33.00
If you have 2 kids, 10 and under, this is your dream! Lots of blow up jumpy things and candy gooies in the store for them.
If you are like us, avoid on weekends at all costs.
Place is like a former KOA, but needs about 100 loads of gravel to level out sites that are mostly dirt and tree roots. Lots of trees. We ask to change from a rooted dirt site and they put us on another dirt site, even though there were unused gravel sites available.
We will probably not stay here again. - Sir_Charles395
Aug 2016 - $36.00
Great family rv park. Lots of organized activities for kids and many very unique and popular types of playground equipment. Dramatic improvements over the last 4 years in many areas. The park is a great mix of seasonal campers, vacationing families with kids, and and a few overnighters. Lots of shade. - freestyle freddy
Sep 2017 - $36.00
Great little park with a very 'park like' feel. Nice spacing between campsites, lots of grass and trees. The seasonal campers' areas were neat and orderly. We were just here briefly for an overnight, but would definitely stay again if we were in the area. - Cinzia
Jun 2017 - $40.00
Good Sam rate for a four night stay. Our site was a partial gravel, mostly grass, pull-thru, 50 amp, FHU site. We had good Verizon cell/internet reception. We did not have DishTV satellite reception due to the trees. The park has a nicely manicured entrance; like driving into a nature preserve. The interior roads are narrow, but not a problem for our 33' Class A. This park is very family oriented and there were many small children on the weekend, but the park was quiet at night. We would stay here again. - Dave51
Sep 2015 - $30.00
The sites are reasonably spaced. Utility hookups are in good working order. There is a sufficient amount of shade trees. The sites were long enough to accommodate our 39' MH along with car dolly and car. Nice pool and play area for the kids. Out hosts are very pleasant and accommodating. We like this campground. - BurrKo
Aug 2018 - $43.00
Being that this was our first experience camping with our fifth wheel as a newbie, it was a very pleasant experience. The spots were spacious and level, with exception of the road construction on Cottonwood, it was easy access for big rigs. I never been to a campground as quiet as this one was. You could hear a pin drop at midnight. - BoNep261
Jul 2018 - $37.00
Rate is based on weekly stay. Check the website for directions if construction on Cottonwood is still ongoing. Owners and staff were friendly upon check in. This is a relatively new park and the owners are still doing things to improve it. There's easy access for big rigs. There are two sections to the park. The first section has a paved road around the loop and the sites are gravel. The second section has a dirt loop, and I believe the sites are also gravel. There are both back-in and pull-through sites available. Most sites appeared to be fairly level. Some sites have more space between them than others. All services worked as expected. This park is great for families. There's a pool, playground, and beach access, as well as the Grand Lady cruises. The shower/restroom building is quite nice and was clean each time we went there. My husband (6'2" tall) commented that it's the first campground shower he has used where the shower head was actually high enough for him to stand under it. (That might be due to the height of the owners.) There are two washers and two dryers in the same building as the showers/restrooms. There isn't a designated pet area, but there is plenty of space to walk pets. There were numerous OTA channels. Verizon data and cell worked well. We would stay again if passing through the area. - Guinness
Jul 2018 - $48.00
This park is more for campers in for the weekend. There were several larger motor homes, too. Our site faced the river. The staff was friendly. We had to pay in full when we made the reservation 5 months ahead of time. The price was more than the site was worth to us. There was a lovely pool & laundry area that looked brand new. Enough room to walk the dogs. Nearby fast food restaurants. The horrible part about it was getting to the park. The main side road you take was under construction. Luckily we found a parking lot to pull into & got hold of the office for directions around the construction. Once we knew the route it was doable. I'm assuming the construction will be done in time for next season & this won't be a problem. - Connie's Co-Owner
Sep 2017 - $30.00
Campground was fine for an overnight stay but we will not return. Our site was spacious but ground was damp since drainage was poor. Laundry room was not usable, dirty with just one washer available. Several full time seasonal campers. The river is next to the campground and boating and canoeing are available. - Larry 1126
May 2012 - $39.00
We stayed here over Memorial day. It`s an OK campground. We had a full hookup site. The hookups were in good shape. Was a little on the tight side for getting into, but OK. Most sites are shaded. No full hookups along the river. Not a lot to do here except for canoeing on the river which was fun, kids had a blast! They have an indoor pool which is small. It would be nice to also have an outdoor pool. They have a small minigolf which is run down. The space would be better served as an outdoor pool. We would go back again if in the area. - dodge guy
Jun 2011 - $33.00
It features friendly staff, a nice, woodsy type atmosphere. The sites are plenty big with lots of shade. We did a kayak trip and it was great. The weather was great, so we would have preferred an outside pool instead of the indoor pool, which is very loud when the kids are playing. - Terrie G.
Oct 2018 - $35.00
Owner/host was very accommodating. When we said we'd like satellite, he had just the spot and moved the fire pit around to get us at the right angle. He works hard to keep the place clean. There do seem to be a lot of seasonal campers here, but that is no problem to us. Unhook at the office, spots were level, much of the CG is under trees, but there are some open spots. There were 30/50 amps, we had 30 and it was fine. Dump station near the office, interior roads were narrow but navigable for our 40'. - dorcol
Jul 2018 - $25.00
Lots of permanent people. We left early due to the brown out conditions on both the 50 AMP and 30 AMP service. Pool, rec room, playground were great. New Owner trying real hard top get everything ship shape. Brown outs due to sites being full. - Landyachty
Oct 2017 - $37.00
New Owner. Really cleaning up the place. Close to GR. We needed a place to stay close to Grand Rapids, and most places are closed after September. This and one other park were our only options, and this one was cheaper. New owner was fixing, cleaning, and painting the 3 days we were there. Seems to be really shining up the place. There were a lot of seasonals, but plenty of space for us, and our site was rather large. Wifi was good, as there were 5 different connection options! We had 50amp and Water, and there was a Dump on-site. Owner delivered firewood to us. - Unknown_Normal
Jun 2011 - $50.00
Spacious park with spotless bathrooms, showers, pools and laundry room. Roomy level sites with excellent utilities and good Wi-Fi. Many seasonal campers, but all units and sites well maintained. We stayed in rear of the park on top of the hill and near pool, showers and bathrooms. Huge and beautiful log home on premises is used as the community center containing library, kitchen, TV room, and video and game room. Small lake/large pond and paddle boats available, but very weedy. Pool was great but crowded. Nice quiet place with space to spread out. - wombatman
Sep 2009 - $34.00
This is a very nice family campground off the beaten path. The owners keep the campground very clean. Hot clean showers. Very nice playground area, including shuffleboard and volleyball. They had a few boats for rent. They had a nice campstore and a barn with some arcade games, ping pong, and a pool table. We stayed in the campsites right across from the playground and they were nice size lots, grassy, and plenty of shade. We would definitely camp here again. - redheadmichigan
Jul 2009 - $24.00
I have stayed at many campgrounds throughout the US and this one has got to be the worst I have stayed at. Its located on the Grand River and is surrounded by swamp and algea filled holes that are meant to pass as fishing ponds, but really are just breeding grounds for mosquitoes which swarm relentlessly ( I have never seen so many!!!). The roads are gravel and are a mixture of dust and mud and pot holes. ( If you have a nice vehicle don't bring it here ). The one bathhouse they have avaible stinks of sewage because of pour ventilation and has showers with sticks you have to hold down to turn on the water. If you let go the water turns off. And there is no parking so you have to walk from your campsite to the bathhouse. If your looking for a enjoyable vacation I would not recommend this place. - tomcruise
Jun 2008 - $33.00
The campground is conveniently close to Grand Rapids. The campground roads are very rough and in poor condition. There is limited parking at the check-in area. The "lake" is actually a pond, and while there is a small beach area the water is not what we consider suitable for swimming in. There is free Wi-fi and it worked well. The owners escort you to your site and give you directions while you back in. The owners are friendly and helpful. - treetime
Jun 2007 - $33.00
I just love this campground. We didn't stay last year and I really felt like my summer wasn't complete. The owner reminds me of my dad and he even helps me park my camper when it is just the kids and me. It is small enough to feel safe and quiet enough to make me happy. - Deek
Sep 2009 - $33.00
We chose this park due to the rating in the Trailer Life 2009 and the fact that it was the closest to the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum. I am wondering if the reviewers have even been close to this Park. When we were connecting to the water and electric, we had to dodge dog waste, and the hook-ups were so far from where we were parked that it took all the length of the cord and hose to completely connect. The directions in the TL were only from the South and they are poor. The Manager said for me to write as he had been complaining to no avail. The Office area looks like a junk yard with old vehicles and stuff piled all over. We would never go back. - Arizona Traveler
Apr 2017 - $33.00
Not full hook up, old pool, overrun on weekends. Old bathroom/showers, 30 amp only, 2 dump stations, only 1 operating. This place needs a serious update/ overhaul. Staff are friendly! A 2 star rating at best. Safe, yes, needs serious updating. - Good citizen
Jul 2015 - $33.00
Paid, but did not stay, left Shortly, office closed. Restrooms 1930 style and filthy. Light was one tired yellow fluorescent full of bugs and spiders over the filthy sinks. Could not see in toilet area, too dark. Paint peeling, stink. A few Seasonal die hard folks all hard wired and plumbed, so they could care less. This type of place gives RVing a Nasty name. Roads are Chuck holes and full of mud everywhere, hilly ground,no level spots. Has not been maintained in years. Run, don't walk away from this place. The rating in the Good Sam book has to be for the golf course or else one of the reviewers wasn't seeing correctly. - Oldfart
Sep 2013 - $30.00
This park is nothing to write home about, but it served our needs for a visit to the Grand Rapids area. There was a fair amount of confusion over site boundaries, and it seemed that other campers were scattered around the park in a rather disorganized fashion. Getting level in our site was a bit challenging, but do-able. - CaptainNemo
