Camp ground has a pool and laundry, easy access in into park and sites are nice and large. They offer pull thru and back in so no issues with large rigs. They have a separate section for only fifth wheels and motor homes if you choose to pay more that is well groomed and concrete and nicely landscaped. Most are gravel and level and have a nice concrete pad We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

There are 2 different sections to this campground. They have a resort style side and a campground side. The resort specialized to the class A and large 5th wheels. The sites are all paved with a concrete slab etc. the campground side is more of a wilderness feel. We stayed in the campground side and found the hookups no to be well positioned on the site. Water is on one side where we had to extend the hose under the camper in order to reach. The power supply was done with an extension cord (provided) and on the other side of the water. The sewer was close by if you have a mid camper valve. I might suggest not staying on the main entry road. Traffic is quite busy and go pretty fast. They could use a few speed bumps to help slow traffic down. WiFi was spotty at best. We did not use the pool as it was always crowded. We did enjoy the area attractions of sleeping bear dunes and the national seashore. Be sure to have all of what you need. There are area stores but they are expensive. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

One of the best Michigan campgrounds we've stayed out! Clean shower houses and restrooms within easy walking distance from camp sites. Staff was helpful and polite. Constant dog parade with very little barking. Will come back!! We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very close to Empire and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake shore. Within 40 miles of Traverse City which is the closest major shopping. Lots of things to do and see in the small, coastal towns along Lake Michigan. Fishtown at Leland is a must see.

For the amount charged, the “Resort” side of the park falls short. WiFi incredibly slow, no cable hook up, sites are positioned as to your front is open to public. No privacy. Pool ice cold, & no hot tub available. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a pull-thru FHU site that had beautiful trees that kept a nice shaded canopy. The trees were trimmed up plenty high enough that we didn't need to worry about them hitting the coach. The amenities were very nice. This park has 2 sections, the resort side which is completely paved (but no pull-thru sites available) and the campground side which is gravel pads. The sites were spacious. I work while on the road and must have good internet. I had no problem using my Verizon MiFi or the parks wifi. There is no real pet area as stated. This is a great campground not far from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. There are two parts for the campground - the RV Park and the RV Resort. The "park" side is cheaper, though still higher than I'd like. From what I could tell that's just the way it is in this area. On the "park" side, the sites were well-shaded and fairly well spaced apart. I'd say the next site was nearby, but we still had plenty of space and did not feel cramped. Our site was pull-thru reasonably level and was just the right length for our truck and camper. There are a few bathhouses located throughout the campground. The only negative thing I can say about the campground is that the showers were paid (a quarter for 3-5 minutes), but we didn't use the showers so that wasn't a big deal to us. The laundry room had an app that you could use so you didn't have to have quarters - we loved that! Wifi signal was hit or miss. Verizon signal was decent. Everything was well taken care of and there were plenty of employees at work throughout the day. Everyone was friendly. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in the RV Resort which has higher rates then the regular camping sites. Park was will maintained and clean, with very friendly staff. The roads where paved with two way traffic. The park staff will direct you to your site and assist in backing into your site. The resort employees will pick up trash if placed out before 10:00 AM at the curb. All of the sites in the RV resort side have sprinklers that are operated early in the morning hours. The first day we woke up to the sprinklers washing one side of our trailer, thought it was raining at first. We will definitely go back to this camp ground. Even though the fees seem high this park has way more to offer compared to what another park cost us in July with our two grand daughters. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We traveled to Sleeping Bear Dunes in Empire for hiking and site seeing. Shopping and dining out can be done at a lot of small villages along M22 such as Glen Arbor, Leland and Traverse City. If using GPS the GPS may take you past the park entrance as my GPS did twice.

This is an excellent park in a great location. First, the sites are huge and the park is laid out for easy big rig access. The landscaping is excellent and the grounds are very quiet. We did not use the pool, but it appeared to be in excellent condition. We don't often spend this much for a site, but in this case I thought the value to be excellent when compared to other campgrounds with similar pricing...meaning KOA. Note: though our review is for the gated, "resort" side, we walked through the other half of the campsite several times. It's not as upscale but the service and facilities were the same. I will consider it if we return to the area. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Called at last minute and they had sites available in the "resort" area (perhaps due to cost). We were greeted by campground host and escorted to our site. "Resort" sites are level, stamped concrete pads with beautiful landscaping. Park is relatively new, gated and very quiet at night. Convenient to the little town of Empire, Sleeping Bear Dunes NP and Glen Arbor. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is split into 2 sections: camping with gravel spaces and cement pads. Lots of trees. This side is very family oriented with all kinds of RVs and tents. The other side is called The Resort. It is gated at the vehicle entrance and has a fence separating the 2 sides. A remote control is issued at check-in to access the area. The remote is much better than the key cards some resorts use. There are 2 gates in the fence that allows access from 1 side to the other. We were escorted to the resort side which easily accommodates large rigs. It has stamped, colored cement pads that are very level. Sites are staggered around so even though we shared a site entrance we did not feel crowded by the other RVs. Nice pool up by the office that we didn't partake of. Ice and firewood is available. There's really nothing around for groceries. There is an IGA in Glen Arbor but it is minimal and only for basics. Traverse City has several decent grocery stores but that's about a half hour away. We loved the area and the cg so much we plan to return. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sleeping Bear Dunes has several nice hiking trails. The 3/4 mile trail is quite crowded but views are fabulous at the top of the dunes and Lake Michigan. Pick up the pamphlet at the bottom to read about some interesting things along the way. Lots of good wineries on Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas.

Stayed in the resort section for 3 days after season so the rate was $40.00 a day. Everyone was polite and helpful. Beautifully landscaped park. Site was back in and also landscaped beautifully. Site was on one of the ponds with large paved patio and paved walkway to the pond where the fire pit and wrought iron furniture were. Also has a picnic table on the patio by the side of the MH. Site was level and paved with patio pavers not concrete slab which adds to the resort feel. Park wireless was usable but we used our Verizon jet pack. Good satellite reception. Did not try OTA signals. Got 3 bars of Verizon LTE. All utilities were easy hookup and worked fine. Clubhouse not finished but there were contractors here working on it during our stay. Sites large and spaced pretty far apart with enough vegetation between to feel private. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed a week in the resort section so the comments are mostly limited to that side of the property. The property's entrance is very spacious, attractive and beautifully landscaped, right off of M 72. The queue area is equally spacious, with a half dozen long, although not level, registration spots. Staff is very friendly, efficient and helpful. The resort side is accessed through gates with a clicker they give you. The roads are paved and wide. The sites are mostly back-ins with a few pull-ins. They are very spacious, many with paver pads, level, generous patio area, fire pit and table, lush landscaping with wildflowers everywhere. A beautiful pond and waterfall with overstuffed chairs to wile the day away. The site map makes it look busy, but probably half of the sites depicted have yet to be sold/developed. Which leads to the bigger issue for us, the restrooms. The site map also leads you to believe there are restrooms and showers in the resort area. Not true. They are under construction, and have been for several years. So you need to use the restrooms at the office, which are old but fine, and are only open during office hours. Shower costs 25 cents for each 3-5 minutes. Before and after, you need to use the restrooms in the R V park section. Also, no cable, no OTA and no T-Mobile service. Verizon seemed to work o.k. Internet was mostly good, and all the sites appeared to be satellite friendly. The utilities were very good. Great location to explore the peninsulas and surrounding towns. We camped at Indigo Bluffs RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.
