We LOVE this campground, been going here since I was a wee child. It's a national forest campground, so that means no electric or water at the sites. There are a few water spigots around the campground and also at the dump station there is potable water available. Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. We have a 40 ft motorhome and regularly try for site #17, our favorite. It's long enough for two, 40 ft motorhomes to fit, us and our folks. Of course we pay a double fee for doing so, but we don't mind. Our friends try for site number #15 where they can leave their boat tied up to shore right near their camper. New concessionaire this year, seems to be really nice. He handled some noisy folks immediately and they were quiet the rest of the night. Well kept, clean, and rustic camping with well-spaced out sites. You can barely see the next site over as it's well closed in by shrubbery and tall trees. All sites are wooded, so satellite signals are questionable. Host lady has been there for many years, and always comes back! She is so sweet and helpful and keeps the bathrooms immaculate. Bathrooms have flush toilets and cold water, no showers. Bathhouse by the swimming area is very rustic and pretty structure, able to be rented for parties, complete with a fireplace and a little kitchen. No cell service in the campground as its down in a hollow, but if you drive up the road a mile or two, you can reach an Altell signal. Great fishing, our guys regularly catch walleye here, it's their favorite lake for night fishing. Large boat landing area with parking. Only rated a 7 because of course no electric, no water at sites, no showers, and none of the frilly froo froo that some folks come to expect in a park. But we love it, so it's a TEN in our book! We camped at Lake Ottawa National Forest Campground in a Motorhome.
