12 RV Parks near Olivet, Michigan
Aug 2015 - $23.00
This was a good park to overnight, however the only had 1 pull thru site that was level & big enough for 40ft MH. Good electric & water service. After we had used dump station owner's son said we owed $10.00 so we paid. $3.oo for AC so site actually cost $33.00. Have 2 port-a-potty & no showers that we saw. Nice sandy beach & boat & raft rental. - Driftr
Jun 2015 - $20.00
This is a nice little park for an overnight stay or a few days. We had a waterfront site with excellent views. It has large spots that are fairly level. They offer boat rental, and have an ice cream bar and a small store. There is an extra three dollar charge if you want to use your A/C. It is not too far off the interstate and is easy to locate. - acadiandave

Jul 2018 - $12.00
Nice little park with great hookups. Good playground and activities. Not used much anymore but well maintained. A few pullthroughs but if not busy you can park crossways on a couple of sites. Very nice managers. 1 miles gravel road in. Price is right and we would stay here again. - Landyachty
Jul 2016 - $12.00
So beautiful here. Spacious and well maintained. A couple of miles of dirt roads, but worth it. The most quiet RV park we've stayed in. The name says travel trailers, but mostly big rigs and big travel trailers and fifth wheels. We would definitely stay here again in our 40' fifth wheel. Back-ins, but lots of room so no problems. No wash areas so you have to be self contained unless you don't mind outhouses. The only thing I missed was a pool. It said WiFi in the Passport America book, but it never showed up for us. - Ginny H
Oct 2018 - $45.00
Very nice park with a country feel. Big Rig friendly! Plenty of room & wide streets for our 45' Class A motorhome. Sites #55-#65 have too much slope for a large RV. Our back-in site 68 was fine for leveling. Bathrooms were spotless. Gravel roads/sites. No satellite issues. Many sites have a concrete patio & fire ring. No problems with full hook ups. Friendly staff. Pool had just closed for the season when we arrived Oct 1. Would have given a higher rating if roads were paved. Since it recently rained before arrived and during our visit, dust was not an issue. - 2SimsNanRV
Sep 2018 - $45.00
Very nice and new RV park in central Michigan. The sites are a mix of back in and pull through, gravel parking areas with a concrete pad living area with a picnic table. The park has great amenities including two pools, volleyball and basketball courts and a community room with tables and games. The park wifi worked well and the staff was very nice. We highly recommend the park to anyone visiting the area. See our updates, pictures and full reviews on our blog at thegilliamsisland. - Gary Gilliam
Aug 2018 - $45.00
Very clean, wide spaces, 2 pools, excellent staff. Great restaurant on site. Great place for a family. Great WiFi as well. - Tom-Sandy
Jun 2015 - $20.00
When we arrived this year (we have grandkids in the area), we found that one of the trees had fallen just a few days earlier and was less than 24 hours from when people were camping in that spot. We also found out that some or all of the others have tree rot.
This year, the regular camp host has quit and nothing is getting done ....
It's still $20 a night with less amenities
Enough is enough, we're out of here ! ! ! - magic
Jun 2014 - $20.00
Please note new rate. This is a basic park and the rates this year went up by 33% without any changes. No extra anything, just the same water every 6th space or so, 30 amp max, and some sites with only 20. We will stay here again, unless we can find something else in the area. - magic
Jul 2013 - $15.00
Water is scattered throughout, so long hoses are needed. For a few days, good place to stop. - PugetSound
May 2018 - $25.00
It took me many months to get past our experience. They said they had water and electric for us, little did I know I would be using the hose off the building and an extension cord. No fire pits, no store, no trees, no nothing. It's a field. That's it. Don't be fooled. We left 2 days early from vacation because it was so bad. - ChrisC1022
Jul 2015 - $20.00
I had called ahead to ask if there was availability. When I arrived the lady running the office had to call the groundskeeper a few times to find a suitable site. There was some confusion but another rv'er told me where there was a 50A plug. I ended up parking beside a building under some huge trees, had 50A service, water and was able to get my portable Direct TV dish locked in.
It is very quiet (a few trains, but not many) and I had a shady spot for most of the day. I would stay again if passing thru the area. - mrracechaser
May 2006 - $15.00
Other review is accurate. Great Rest rooms/Shower house. Most sites only have electric (20 amp only) water in very few locations. No other services available. Good spot for event in the area. - Mushroom
Mar 2019 - $10.00
Seemed nice at first. Park rate is actually $325, it's a monthly rate but you pay utilities as well. Management isn't good, they say one thing and do another. They don't keep things clean and we paid for full hook up only to have the water shut off for what they said was routine cleaning, yet charge for full hookup. Wifi not usable half the time. Camp store not opened. No zipline. Owners yell and scream at park guests, management does as well. Not impressed by having sign in at manager's personal cabin; should have an actual office for that. Very unprofessional. For the area you had to drive a ways to get any groceries at a decent amount. The park itself had nothing except a lot of work on the bathroom which from what was said been going on since summer. Highly believable as managers and owners seem to have no indication on how to run a campground. - Anonymous65
Oct 2017 - $15.00
I strongly advise that you find a different park. Planned to stay 5 nights, left after 1.
We needed a place to stay for the week near Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, a lot of campgrounds in this area are closed by mid-October and we're on a budget, so our options were limited. Found this park on the Passport America website, and planned to stay for the week, but foolishly did not call ahead to confirm any details. Turns out there are new owners and they don't care for PA, but haven't bothered to take their info off the site. They did honor the discount for our first and only night, which is the only acceptable thing about this experience.
The park is almost completely filled with permanent residents and almost every site is littered with junk. The trailers are old and unkempt (some displaying confederate flags), the 'pond' looked like waste water, all the play equipment is falling apart, and the locals are haggard and unfriendly. Very dismal scene.
We wanted to leave as soon as we set up and realized what this place was. Thankfully, we were meeting some family in GR, so we didn't have to stay long. We got home late, and left early the next morning. They want $30/night for this place when you can find a park 20min from downtown GR for $35/night.
We had FHU. Verizon was no good. - Unknown_Normal
Aug 2017 - $15.00
New owners to an old park that was shut down years ago. Nice park with lots of new things like a 52' water slide and plans for a zipline in the future. Everything works fine as the new owners had to repair or replace 27 safety items before the opening this summer. Plans for 50 amp at all the full hook up sites. Sewer hook up is toward the front so we needed (and had) lots of hose. - magic
Jul 2012 - $35.00
A camp with potential. Unfortunately, it is just not there yet. Give it 5 years and it will probably be a nice site. Friendly and helpful staff. Rough on big rigs, the roads are gravel that really needs smoothing. No Wi-Fi. 30 amp service only. Wouldn't recommend for motorhomes or large 5th Wheels. - bdixon2297526
Jul 2012 - $30.00
If you're looking for a nice family campground, then this is the place. Indoor swimming, Rec room, a swimming pond, fishing ponds, basketball, tennis, hiking, biking, disc golf, etc. The restrooms were questionable. One had a huge bees nest. If they were checked regularly, it would have been noticed. If you have a noise rule after a certain hour, it should be enforced. We called to complain at 4am and nothing was done about it. I agree with the previous post. It has great potential. Just needs to be better managed. - BC4LIFE
Jun 2011 - $30.00
Good friendly place to stay. A little high priced, but a nice campground with lots to do. Only downfall is no sewer system, but they do have a honey wagon that will pump you out for an extra $6.00 if done during the week and not on Wed. Weekends and Wednesdays are more expensive. - Rae Rice
Sep 2008 - $27.00
We always stay here as a last stop as we travel home to Ontario from the west. Most of the sites are permanent and you get the feeling of being an outsider. But that's OK, the park is well supervised, the washrooms are old but clean, the sites are level and its quiet. We prefer the sites on the west side of the park overlooking the lake. - Stan Wigg
Jun 2007 - $29.00
Campsites were okay, just very dirty and dusty. Nice site for a weekend. Needs updated. - GMcComb
Jul 2007 - $30.00
Some dogs are not allowed as pets. Most 50 A and sewer connection sites are taken early by seasonal campers. Approximately 20 satellite-friendly sites. Very clean large grassy campsites with fire rings, picnic tables and chipmunks. Sanitary dump station with flush hose available. Also local black/grey tank pump service available. This park is very friendly, very quiet, with three camping areas spread out among 300 acres of cornfields and connected with paved roads. Private lake front has boat ramp and channel out to main lake. Three separate shower facilities with one handicapped accessible. On site oak and hickory firewood sales. Many on site activities. - jwkinneyjr
Jul 2018 - $28.00
We have camped here many times when visiting relatives. Located between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Michigan. Nice state park with spacious campsites. Hiking trails, swimming beach, and fishing. Close to metro areas. - dblanch57
Jul 2017 - $25.00
Nice State Park with good space between campsites. As with many of the State Park campgrounds in Michigan the sites were electric only. Many of the sites were getting a bit overgrown with brush and tree limbs. Could use some trimming. Our site was rated for up to a 45' RV but the tree branches hanging down limited access. - RoadtripImages dot com
Aug 2016 - $23.00
After reading some of these reviews, I was starting to wonder if I was in the same park. This place is gorgeous. Huge sites with lots of privacy. We were in site 119, next to the bathrooms and had no issues except for a rude dog owner who didn't scoop. - MSSW
