17 RV Parks near Vermontville, Michigan
Mar 2019 - $10.00
Seemed nice at first. Park rate is actually $325, it's a monthly rate but you pay utilities as well. Management isn't good, they say one thing and do another. They don't keep things clean and we paid for full hook up only to have the water shut off for what they said was routine cleaning, yet charge for full hookup. Wifi not usable half the time. Camp store not opened. No zipline. Owners yell and scream at park guests, management does as well. Not impressed by having sign in at manager's personal cabin; should have an actual office for that. Very unprofessional. For the area you had to drive a ways to get any groceries at a decent amount. The park itself had nothing except a lot of work on the bathroom which from what was said been going on since summer. Highly believable as managers and owners seem to have no indication on how to run a campground. - Anonymous65
Oct 2017 - $15.00
I strongly advise that you find a different park. Planned to stay 5 nights, left after 1.
We needed a place to stay for the week near Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, a lot of campgrounds in this area are closed by mid-October and we're on a budget, so our options were limited. Found this park on the Passport America website, and planned to stay for the week, but foolishly did not call ahead to confirm any details. Turns out there are new owners and they don't care for PA, but haven't bothered to take their info off the site. They did honor the discount for our first and only night, which is the only acceptable thing about this experience.
The park is almost completely filled with permanent residents and almost every site is littered with junk. The trailers are old and unkempt (some displaying confederate flags), the 'pond' looked like waste water, all the play equipment is falling apart, and the locals are haggard and unfriendly. Very dismal scene.
We wanted to leave as soon as we set up and realized what this place was. Thankfully, we were meeting some family in GR, so we didn't have to stay long. We got home late, and left early the next morning. They want $30/night for this place when you can find a park 20min from downtown GR for $35/night.
We had FHU. Verizon was no good. - Unknown_Normal
Aug 2017 - $15.00
New owners to an old park that was shut down years ago. Nice park with lots of new things like a 52' water slide and plans for a zipline in the future. Everything works fine as the new owners had to repair or replace 27 safety items before the opening this summer. Plans for 50 amp at all the full hook up sites. Sewer hook up is toward the front so we needed (and had) lots of hose. - magic
Jun 2019 - $20.00
WOW! Been awhile since anyone has reviewed this one. We were there 4 nights for a bluegrass festival. The CG was full to capacity. We arrived just after a gully washer of a thunderstorm which turned to CG into a mudfest. Full marks to the fairground staff who did their best to encourage drainage. Biblical rain aside, this really is a pretty park for a fairground. Very shaded & has a stream/river/torrent running along the back boundary. For $20.00 what do you want? Nothing wrong with this place at all. I imagine that it is very peaceful when there are no events in the fairgrounds going on. - Veebyes
Jun 2015 - $20.00
When we arrived this year (we have grandkids in the area), we found that one of the trees had fallen just a few days earlier and was less than 24 hours from when people were camping in that spot. We also found out that some or all of the others have tree rot.
This year, the regular camp host has quit and nothing is getting done ....
It's still $20 a night with less amenities
Enough is enough, we're out of here ! ! ! - magic
Jun 2014 - $20.00
Please note new rate. This is a basic park and the rates this year went up by 33% without any changes. No extra anything, just the same water every 6th space or so, 30 amp max, and some sites with only 20. We will stay here again, unless we can find something else in the area. - magic
Jul 2007 - $26.00
Recent new owners turned a "drinker's haven" in to a family oriented campground. Few amenities, but very quiet. Little bit of a drive from the expressway, but it was one of the closest campgrounds to Lansing, MI that had availability in short notice. - The Ketters

Oct 2019 - $12.00
This was a private park that recently opened up to Passport America and Escapees members. It's quiet, clean and the manager is friendly and more than helpful. We used 2 trailer sites as a pull-through. The only drawback we found was no sewer hookups. No shower house, only outhouses. Meeting room is very nice with some kitchen area. There are some picnic tables but not one at each site. Access to the park is via some dirt roads, quality of road surface varies during the year. - Dave from Indy
Aug 2019 - $12.00
We averaged $12 / night w/ Passport America discount ($24 without) for W / E50. Can't beat that rate!!! Quiet campground with a lot of space between sites. The only negative is there is no way to get to the campground without traveling a mile or so on dirt and dusty roads. DO NOT APPROACH THE CAMPGROUND ON BABCOCK ROAD OFF OF ROUTE 78. This is a dirt road with closely spaced ridges across the road for its full 1 mile length. Had to slow to 5 MPH and even then the entire RV shook terribly! There are a couple other dirt roads to use that are in much better shape. - Teddi2
Aug 2019 - $12.00
What a wonderful place to stay and very peaceful. Bill who runs the place is so nice and helpful. Our truck broke down and he went to Battle Creek and picked him up. Everyone was so helpful. The campground is so nice. We will stay here again when passing through. The price is great. A hidden treasure. - Kimc
Aug 2015 - $23.00
This was a good park to overnight, however the only had 1 pull thru site that was level & big enough for 40ft MH. Good electric & water service. After we had used dump station owner's son said we owed $10.00 so we paid. $3.oo for AC so site actually cost $33.00. Have 2 port-a-potty & no showers that we saw. Nice sandy beach & boat & raft rental. - Driftr
Jun 2015 - $20.00
This is a nice little park for an overnight stay or a few days. We had a waterfront site with excellent views. It has large spots that are fairly level. They offer boat rental, and have an ice cream bar and a small store. There is an extra three dollar charge if you want to use your A/C. It is not too far off the interstate and is easy to locate. - acadiandave
Jul 2011 - $27.00
Very friendly management. The lake is very nice and well maintained, with lots of people swimming in it, and a very cool lighted fountain in the middle for nigh time enjoyment. Close to the highway and easy to get to, but once you're there it feels like you're a long ways away from anywhere. A good wholesome campground. - 2gaycampers
Jul 2014 - $40.00
This is a wonderful campground with a friendly staff, clean inviting pool, and a nice little store. The hookups for some of the sites was on the wrong side. No problem, we just pulled in facing the other way. We shared a sewer with our neighbor which is also not a problem. We have family in the area and had visitors several times in the 3 days we were there. It was no problem. The park is dog friendly and we had no difficulty getting satellite and antenna reception. - Connie's Co-Owner
Jun 2019 - $25.00
This is the rural fairground/expo center and there are frequently things going on (a horse show while we were there). The sites are on grass and very spacious. There are plenty of shade trees and lots of open sites as well (satellite signal is very good here). We were the only rig in the entire park when we pulled in on a Friday night. Note, if you come in after 5pm, you're pretty much on your own to find a site and settle in. We arrived late on a Friday and couldn't find anyone to pay until the following Monday. Dump Station only. - Tessa & Toadee on the Road
Sep 2019 - $48.00
The access was easy and the interior road where wide enough even with the park full and people going over their allotted space. The sewer in our site was high but everything else was fine. Lots of kids even in late Sept. riding bikes and driving golf cart. It had been raining hard for a few days and our site did not drain properly a little more rock could have solved the problem. We would stay here again. - sjones
Jul 2019 - $55.00
We stayed here both coming and going from southern Indiana to Canada. It was fine for an overnight - had a pull-thru that was level and easy in/out. Very crowded park with LOTS of kids and noise. Nice pool if you're into that. Nothing around but the restaurant that only serves turkey - seriously, they only serve things with turkey in them!! So we cooked. There's also an ice cream parlor and dinner theater near the restaurant. Hosts were fine. Good internet and wifi. - bdnewton
Jun 2019 - $52.00
First park we stayed in after purchasing our brand new motorhome. We made an extreme effort to make sure we had a site big enough and with easy access. Was promised a pull through site when reservation was made 2 months in advance (conf email showed this). When we arrived, they said that slot was taken and that we were only promised A site NOT a PARTICULAR site. I could have dealt with that OK if not for their attitude of 'Too bad, so sad'. Site we got was narrow, and exhaust pipe was almost in the mud. Gravel sites, some with more mud than gravel. No trash dumpsters anywhere except front of the park, before you even get to the office. They will pick up your trash between 10am to noon, but if you need to get rid of anything outside those hours, you'll have to keep it in your RV. We will not stay here again due to their lack of customer service. - JackieInFL
Apr 2017 - $33.00
Not full hook up, old pool, overrun on weekends. Old bathroom/showers, 30 amp only, 2 dump stations, only 1 operating. This place needs a serious update/ overhaul. Staff are friendly! A 2 star rating at best. Safe, yes, needs serious updating. - Good citizen
Jul 2015 - $33.00
Paid, but did not stay, left Shortly, office closed. Restrooms 1930 style and filthy. Light was one tired yellow fluorescent full of bugs and spiders over the filthy sinks. Could not see in toilet area, too dark. Paint peeling, stink. A few Seasonal die hard folks all hard wired and plumbed, so they could care less. This type of place gives RVing a Nasty name. Roads are Chuck holes and full of mud everywhere, hilly ground,no level spots. Has not been maintained in years. Run, don't walk away from this place. The rating in the Good Sam book has to be for the golf course or else one of the reviewers wasn't seeing correctly. - Oldfart
Sep 2013 - $30.00
This park is nothing to write home about, but it served our needs for a visit to the Grand Rapids area. There was a fair amount of confusion over site boundaries, and it seemed that other campers were scattered around the park in a rather disorganized fashion. Getting level in our site was a bit challenging, but do-able. - CaptainNemo
