Lovely municipal park w abundant grass, maple trees, trails, games for kids. Easy to access from I-90. The negatives: unclean bathrooms. Bathroom near dump station was filthy. Manure stench from a nearby farm for the first 5 hours we were there. Too bad. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

We haven't been here in 6 years. That 9/13 review gives a more detailed, still accurate description of the park. I don't know if there are any satellite friendly sites because the park is heavily treed. Since we were able to get one of the cable TV sites (most sites are not satellite friendly due to all the trees), we decided to stay here because it is cheaper than most parks along I-90 in MN. We had a fairly level, FHU site. The Wi-Fi was good enough for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms were clean but probably inadequate when the park is full. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

This place is a hidden gem. Beautiful park like setting, green grass and mature shade trees with lots of activities available. Great for an overnight stop. Nice wide pull through or back in sites. I like the circular design. A couple of restaurants within walking distance and lots of areas to walk around the park with your dog. We weren't bothered by the highway noise. We had site 1a as we wanted a 50 amp pull through. We had to circle around and take a dirt side road to pull in to that particular spot. Google maps did take us to the wrong spot in town - this park is right behind the Cenex station just off I-90. The only downside, this is in a farming community and we did note a manure smell when outside. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

All the sites are grass and parking is on the grass. They have the second fastest WiFi I have found, 19.79/6.82 up/down, and that is out of over 50 campgrounds. While Adrian really doesn't have much to offer it is a good jumping off point to many other attractions. The campground is quiet, very reasonably priced, and it is easy to get to other places. I will definitely stay here again when I am passing through. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Sioux Falls has a wonderful walk downtown and along the river. It is also the location of Costco, Walmart, good local brewpubs, and good restaurants. Closest Walmart is located 15 miles east in Worthington. There are also some nice wineries one we went to is Round Lake Vineyard & Winery just 15 miles east of Worthington.

Overall Rating:

Wide grass sites, most with shade trees, and gravel, wide interior roads. Free internet was good as was ATT service and antenna TV. Staff was helpful and utilities worked well. Multiple playgrounds, free pool, frisbee golf, outdoor chess and checkers and good dog walking areas. It is a well maintained park in a beautiful setting. The only downsides are nearby noisy I-90, and the middle of most pull thrus was a sodden mess from previous vehicles causing ruts in the standing water and mud from recent rain. You can avoid this by parking at one end or the other of a pull thru. These issues caused marking down one point. Other than the freeway (only annoying outside), it is a quiet, clean park. We would stay again. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here a month at a cost of $500. Great site with partial shade. North side of the campground didn't have Sprint reception but south part did. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Well groomed park and friendly town. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the museums [war history, 4000 nutcrackers @ historical center, art museum] and restaurants (Sterling's & Bluestem) in Luverne 14 miles away. Visit bars in downtown Adrian. Sioux Falls and Okoboji are less than an hour away.

Right off the freeway, but not noisy. The park is a large circle with one section for seasonal stays. Our full hookup site was 50 amp. There were a couple washers and dryers in the office. Small mom and pop grocery nearby. Great overnight stop. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very convenient stop along I-90. Not shown on the map, depending on which sites are in use you can use some of the outer ring spots as a pull-through into the inner ring, which we were allowed to do so that we didn't have to disconnect for a quick overnight. Roads are gravel, sites are grass only and include a picnic table and fire ring. There is a creek that rings the campground which may have been to blame for the musty/barnyard smell in the morning. Grass needed mowing but there was no trash and occupied sites were kept neat. There is a camp host on site although we didn't speak to them. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park for an overnight stay. Close to the highway and yes a bit of highway noise at night but not bad. Grounds are fairly clean but could use some attention. The bathrooms were fairly clean and some of the showers were needing repair. Still lots of hot water and a good shower in one of the nicer stalls. Sites were fairly level and lots of room between sites. A good one night stop momdoc. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in R-6. R-1 thru 6, on the outside circle had 50 amp, sewer and water. These spaces backed up to the city frisbee golf area. Very clean and well maintained. On Saturday night a free movie was shown in that area. Pool is within easy walk and free to campers. We stayed 3 days. Definitely would stay here again. We drove to Luverne, about 12 miles, ate at the Pizza Ranch. Fun and good food! 2 service stations as you enter park. Easily fit our 43' motor home.

Great park. I can't remember if I received a PA discount or not. As previously mentioned, this is a circular park, as such that the sites are pie shaped, making the opening to the drive a bit narrow. Campers on each side were locals, who spent summer weekends in the park. If all our trucks parked just right, getting in and out was a minor issue. Municipal swimming pool was a block away and an excellent way to spend a 90 degree evening. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the CG. This place was a great value! Easy access to I90. Two playgrounds and pool access was great for our kids. Only two showers in the bath house that we used but they were spacious and clean. It was easy to back in to our site and it was great to be able to stay hooked up to the truck. Perfect for an overnight on the road. We camped in a 34ft travel trailer. We pulled into the park on Sunday at 6:30pm with no reservation. We had tried calling but didn't get an answer. We were concerned if we could get a spot. As we arrived at the office, the Camphost came over to greet us. The park is wooded area with gravel roads. It is laid out in 2 circles with the bath house in the center. We had water, electric and cable. The site was $22 with $2 for cable. The sites are all back-ins on grass with the connections at the back of each site. They are laid out where 2 trailers would back up to each other and share hookups. The park was only a third full. There was a little road noise from the trucks on the hwy but not bad. Electric and cable was good. Verizon was at 3g and good signal. We only stayed 1 night. We would return. I can see where the park would be crowded if full with vehicles parked in front of their sites. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was extremely crowded despite there being many empty sites. The sites were so close together that unless your neighbor left before you needed to pullout you might have needed them to move vehicles or their camper to exit your site. Poor planning on the office's part. We camped at Adrian Municipal Park in a Travel Trailer.
