7 RV Parks near Floodwood, Minnesota
Jun 2011 - $15.00
Campground is located 7 miles east of Floodwood on Rt 2. This is a new campground which is kept in very nice condition. All the sites are grass covered and offer shade. It is a very peaceful place set among a perimeter of trees. The owner states that they want to put in utilities in the future. At present this is a dry camp but still a good place to overnight. This is an on your honor business. You pick your site and leave payment in a box. The owner lives nearby and comes by daily to check on things. I give this a 5 only because they do not have hookups. With hookups I would rate this much higher. - petendoll
Aug 2019 - $20.00
Beautiful wooded park overlooking the river. Very quiet. $20. 30 amp electric. There was 1 other camper when we were here. We left money in the honor system slot. Did not use bathhouse. Too much canopy for satellite. Verizon was excellent. Entry and maneuver room is close but we did it without problem in a 40' motorhome. Love these city parks! - belgique
Aug 2018 - $15.00
This is a good place to stop for one night as it is very convenient to Hwy 2. The bathrooms function, but that it about it. The park is very pleasant, 9 spaces backed up to the river. 30 amp service, no water, no dump station. The road is a bit narrow & we had a bit of trouble getting our 30 foot travel trailer into the site without hitting a tree, but we made it. I made reservations by phone the day ahead & paid with a credit card. The woman answering the phone was very courteous & friendly. - JaneDon264

This is a great place to stop for a night. Nice setting, run by the city (aka police). The grass was mowed and there are a lot of trees and shade. The St Louis River is along the rear of the sites. Take mosquitos spray. There is no water available nor dump station. It is primitively with only 30 AMP service. It worked for us in a 40' class A but it was tight getting in. A few low branches. It had a pick nic table. - Gurleymon
Aug 2016 - $30.00
This park is only three years old; owner spent six years creating it. Nestled in trees by the Cloquet River; very picturesque. Sites are plenty big but not quite level. Sites aren't right next to each other, so not looking in neighbor's windows. No views of the river due to trees, but there's a dock and access. Very quiet (a little noisy on weekend).
The office is at the back of the campground loop; just pull up and wait and owner will be around in his golf cart. - Liv2RV
Jul 2014 - $12.00
This is another fine COE park, if you camp in the north loop. The campsites are large and well maintained. The south loop is rather cramped and the sites that back up to the water are very short. That area also has no maneuvering room for backing into the sites. We stayed in the north loop and loved it. All staff, whether paid or volunteer, were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again in the north campground. Our rate reflects our Senior Pass discount. - Bobbi1948
May 2014 - $26.00
Very nice COE park. Friendly helpful CG Hosts. Sites on the north loop are larger and further apart. Restrooms / showers were spotless. We would stay here again. - sclark
Aug 2012 - $12.00
Price reflects 50% Golden Age discount. Typical beautiful COE park: widely separated flat and level sites with grass and plenty of trees and shade. There are sites of all sizes, some reservable and some non-reservable. We came here on a Saturday in the summer without a reservation and were lucky to get the very last site big enough for our 36' motorhome. Every site has electricity (20/30/50amp) but that is all. Water and dumps stations are available. The bathhouse is modern, well-lit, and spotlessly clean. Both ranger and host were very helpful in finding a site for us and guiding us into it. We would definitely stay here again. - The Wandrin' Waters
Jun 2018 - $20.00
Stayed at Sal's as it was conveniently located off the highway. Nice treed CG with fairly level sites. We connected to water, but not sewer, although service was available. Bathroom/showers are very old and in poor condition but toilets did flush! Did not use showers as they didn't work! No Wifi. The owner was friendly and helpful when we called to make the reservation. No services nearby, so this is really just a place to stop for one night while in transit. - Bunners
Jul 2005 - $24.00
The campground has many nice sites, but it is misrepresented on it's website. Most of the facilities don't exist, but it looks like they are being worked on slowly. The management is the biggest problem. We were promised a lakeside site when we made the reservation but were given a poor excuse as to why it wasn't available when we arrived. We paid in cash after we setup, but when it came time to leave we were asked if we were going to pay for the site. - George and Lynn Sletta
Jul 2019 - $31.00
This is a beautiful park in the north woods—very green and lovely. That said—the park is NOT big rig friendly. Our campsite was a tight fit to turn into. The camp roads are gravel with sharp turns, and the trees are overgrown. Our rig was scratched and scraped by branches repeatedly. The bathrooms are clean and seem to have been recently refurbished. Showers are also clean with good water pressure and hot water—but they are push button and you only get 30 seconds per push. No cell or WiFi or OTA tv. Not sure satellite would work with all the trees. If you have a tent, pop up or smaller trailer and want a nice quiet park, this will work. Big rigs are a no go. - SandmannRV
Jul 2015 - $29.00
Heavily wooded sites on all gravel roads. Very quiet other than a constant cycling of what sounded like a circuit breaker or relay switch on a pole. We used as a stop from a longer trip out west. Very buggy (biting flies and mosquitoes). Campground is close to one of several lakes in park, but no site has direct view/overlook to lake. And lake has no swimming - must drive to other lake with swimming beach.
Restrooms were very clean. Showers were located outside toilet area as separate rooms, and were clean and hot. Small bench available, only 1 hook for hanging towel and clothes.
Site difficult to get into - at top of hill that was required to back up. Difficult with larger rig on gravel road. But once in site it was level and roomy - did have a drop-off between sites. - Browndogs2
Aug 2008 - $22.00
We loved this park. It is off the beaten trail, but that's why it's so wonderful. The sites are private and shaded. The kids rode their scooters on the road. There was plenty to do, we borrowed the park's GPS and went geocaching. The kids loved the beach. Lovely hiking trails. We drove to Hibbing one day and toured the mines and Iron world (it's about and hour or so north). We would definitely stay here again. - dansophem
Aug 2019 - $35.00
Arrived at the campground and there was some confusion about my reservation. They had me coming in the next day and only staying one night. After some searching they were able to put us in a FHU site for two nights. We were escorted to our site and there was plenty of help offered. Our site needed some leveling, most sites did as well. Campground is probably half seasonals and some are full time residents. Overall the campground is kept clean and other campers are quiet and respectful. Restrooms are older but kept clean. I got a kick out of the "talking" security key pads. Laundry is clean as well. The only real negative about this campground is the road noise and some train noise as well. Even at that, it did not disturb my sleep. I did not use their WIFI but my Verizon signal was strong. I got a few OTA TV channels. I would stay here again if in the area. - Trainspotter
Sep 2018 - $35.00
I stayed for just one night while in the Duluth area. The couple who are caretaking are very sweet. The rates were extremely reasonable, especially for a full-hookup site. Sites were gravel, level, and a standard distance apart. The campground has several season long sites, some mature trees, and very clean bathroom facilities. One side of the campground is close to a road and the other side is close to a busy train station, but I still found it to be fairly peaceful. WiFi was good, bathrooms had number lock system, but did not close and lock. I would absolutely stay here again! - Kristyn
Aug 2018 - $35.00
This is a nice cg tucked in the corner of 2 busy highways. It can be noisy but we are well insulated so it didn't bother us too much. This park has a lot of workers living in it so there are large dump trucks parking around the perimeter every night. They leave as quietly as possible each morning. Frankly, we could not tell when they came in or left from the other traffic noise. The spot was reasonable and folks were friendly. Nice grass that was well maintained and a fire pit which, unfortunately, was littered with cigarette butts and other debris. The owner was still on his honeymoon when we arrived so a shirtless man was helping out to the best of his ability. We were assigned Site 3 when I made the reservation. He seemed challenged in having us check-in a day early because someone (us) was to check into Site 3 the next day. I tried to explain this to him but no success so we went to Site 2. This site had a breaker issue so the helper moved us to our assigned Site 3 the next day. It was all just a little cumbersome. This could be a quaint park if the owner would staff the office and ensure the staffing was competent. One hopeful camper stopped at our site asking where they could park. I placed a call to the office for them and we waited for a return call that did not occur until the next day. We offered them the name of another cg in the area. While walking our dog the next day, someone dashed after me asking for assistance. They called 3 hours earlier but did not receive a return call. Sorry - I don't work here. Someone else pulled in right behind them and I dashed into my rig. Staffing and answering the phone is important for continued business. No reason not to stay here but I will probably stay at another I already scoped out. - FT Travelers3
