2 RV Parks near Grand Portage, Minnesota
Oct 2018 - $41.00
Site was drive-through, fairly level, high on a treeless hill with a view of Lake Superior. Close to Canadian border. Grand Portage NP Visitor Center is nearby and worth a visit. High Falls also worth a visit. Canada goose poop everywhere. Campground overlooks a small marina. It is convenient to the casino. We ate at the casino restaurant twice. They have specials that we found worth the price. Also they have a nice beach on the lake with a large campfire ring. The nights we ate at the restaurant we walked out to the campfire and met other convivial guests also enjoying the ambiance. Casino supplied the firewood. Very nice. Restrooms were OK but not the cleanest or the newest. Clerk at the reception desk was informative and helpful. - Capt RonB

We stayed 4 nights at the park. Our main purpose was to visit Isle Royale National Park. The park is in a very good location for visiting there and the state park, plus very close to the marina for the boat to Isle Royale. There was a Pow Wow going on the weekend we were there, so a lot of activity. We could easily walk to all the festivities. Our site was fairly level. We did get wifi reception and 1 radio station, but no TV channels at all. We would stay here again if in the area. - kimandcindy

You are parking on a hillside (though all sites are level) in a field. There are no shade trees. The view is Lake Superior. I didn't visit the shop or the casino, but they are just a few steps away. There is no playground or place to swim at the park, but you are allowed to use the pool, etc. next door at the lodge/casino. It's basically a place to park your RV, see the lake, and have full hook-ups...oh, and visit the casino if you enjoy that. - EdinFL
