2 RV Parks near Hendricks, Minnesota
Aug 2018 - $25.00
We arrived about 4:30 and was told to pick a site. The brains of the place is down town at city hall. After 5:00 nobody answers the phone. Value is good and they have a lot of empty sites tonight. There is WiFi which does not need a password. Site fairly level and quiet. No pull through sites. Weekends are filled with locals. - Dick Schmidt
Jul 2007 - $15.00
We enjoyed our three day stay here. It is a very nice upper midwest small town campground. The showers and restrooms could have been a little cleaner, but overall they were acceptable. The campground is adjacent to a great county museum and a good fishing lake. The gravel sites are just fine and most are shaded by many huge trees. Also, there is an excellent city park with concession stand, playground equipment, and band stage. There are several very good places to eat in town. We will return again. - pjsky

We stayed in the park overnight. The city of Brookings keeps the grounds very neat. There is only electric hook up. No picnic table nor fire pit. There is a dump at the entrance of the park. We felt safe in the park and it is very convenient to South Dakota State University and the surrounding area. I would have no problem staying here again for a night or two, but not for a long term camping trip. To make reservations we had to call the City of Brookings, SD, Department of Recreation. They were very polite and helpful. The road is paved and the sites are gravel. The sites are a little too close. Due to no sewer, cable, and water hook up, I would not give the park a higher rating. - Alabama Jim
Jun 2014 - $20.00
The park is well-maintained and most every site has shade. The biggest problem is the steady stream of apartment dwellers from outside the park who walk through the campsites with dogs, kids, etc. to get to other parts of the park. Also, some of the sites are a bit short, but others are large enough for our truck, 5th wheel and boat. We would stay here again if we were in the area. - Bobbi1948

I gave it a 5 only because it has possibilities. This could be the prettiest park ever. Sites are small; huge trees are close together. I was there 8 days for a livestock show; the first 4 nights I was the only RV. I didn't fill very safe with all the foot traffic. There is a hedge with many openings to the apartment complex to the west. There were probably 10 people a day walking dogs and NONE cleaning up after them. I would not recommend pitching your tent in the dark! Everyone in town uses the dump station so there can be a line. Don't be surprised if someone on their lunch hour sits at your picnic table. Condoms on the ground. The only restroom I've ever seen with a sharps container. A convenience for diabetics? I don't think so. I'm not going back. - Andy Asberry
