First things first. This campground is located in Jordan, MN. Calling it Minneapolis Southwest KOA is misleading. It is not an easy off from the North on 35 West. Driving through the construction in Minneapolis to get to this campground was nerve wracking! It is located in an industrial area and our site, 20B, backed up to a Concrete Plant with trucks coming in and out all day long. Very noisy during the day. It also contained a power pole and numerous junction boxes for the sites - not very desirable. Plus a small playground right outside our door -yikes! Site 20B is a horrible site. Good Points: Nice camp store and staff, unique indoor pool with outdoor patio, and a clean laundry area. 30 amp power and internet worked just fine. Appeared to have seasonal campers in other area of park. They put overnighters near the road and concrete plant. Would look elsewhere next time for a more convenient, quieter overnight stay. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

You know, I think for a city as large as Minneapolis, they would have a better/bigger KOA. This is a Journey KOA, mostly just for overnights. There are some nice sites, but very close together generally or in the mud for more room between. There was something a bit neutral about this place - people seem subdued but nice. We're liking the improvements n KOA lately but I honestly just didn't like this place very much. Sorry to say We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very well managed KOA. Great staff, helpful, efficient and friendly. Park is a "Holiday" designation so has lots of amenities, especially for families. Large heated INDOOR pool, mini-golf, bikes, playground and ball courts. Nice bath facilities and large laundry. Location isn't the most interesting. Tucked behind several warehouses in an industrial area, several miles from any towns and 30 miles from Mall of America. Park is older and very tight. Small sites struggled to fit todays larger rigs and accommodate tow vehicles without blocking road lanes. Still they manage. No cable and very heavily treed so no sat reception. Sites are dirt with some grass between, pretty close together. Picnic table and fire rings. Our site had a small concrete patio. Wifi was pretty good. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Park is all gravel with grass between sites. We had a site with table and fire pit. Only issue was with the power. Only 30 amp available. We tried to watch the power usage but still tripped the pedestal breaker twice. Because of low voltage. we shut down the AC, electric water heater, heat pump and turned the refrigerator to gas mode. Sites are close together. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Average at best. Roads are tight with low hanging branches. People were not very friendly. Full hook 30/50 amp back in dirt sites that are not really level and too close together. Very good wifi and some satellite sites. Pool and dog run. Had to pay a $3.00 dog fee. That's a first for us in 7 years of country wide travel! Keep On Adding (KOA). Not very close to Minneapolis as the name would suggest. Would stay somewhere else next time. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

The first time we ever had anything to do with a KOA was because our truck broke down and the one we went to was ridiculously expensive. Then came across this one that was close to family we wanted to visit and loved it. Price wasn't bad the people were friendly and had something to do and entertain everyone. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Had table and fire area. Just nice and comfortable. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This RV Park is actually in Jordan, MN. The park is very woodsy with lots of trees. My satellite dish could not pick up a signal. The park is close to Target Field, Paisley Park, and Minnesota State Fair. The staff was helpful and delivered firewood to our site. We had to site hop and moved to a site with a pile of debris near the side of our space, very unsightly, needed to be cleaned up. This was the only drawback. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Was able to get a last minute site on a Sunday night, so that was good. Park was close to full and lots of kids running around unsupervised even at night. Like most KOA's this rule never seems to be enforced. Sites are narrow but we didn't have a lot of options for one night. Had slide problems in the morning and spent the next three and a half days in a motel, and had to come back here again for one night when the problem was taken care of. Fewer children here on a Friday so not the same issues. Otherwise, quiet night. The site for this night was again narrow but as before we had no choice. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I felt like we were crammed in like sardines. We had a back in site which was long enough for our motor home and Jeep. It didn't rain while we were there fortunately because I could see where it would be a mud hole in the rain. There was enough muddy areas left from previous rains. Entering was tricky. We stopped right in the entry trying to figure out where to go. It was very congested in front of the office area with people and vehicles. One of the staff in a golf cart saw us and took us to our site. He said to get set up and then register. No cable or ota channels. But we managed to find a spot where our dish would work. There are a couple businesses right outside the park that are loud in the morning. They charged $1.00 per day for our dog. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Mall of America! Go early. It gets really packed in the afternoon. We went into the town of Jordan nearby to find a post office. Also found a nice little park to walk in. Are at a bar & grill called The Station. It was ok

We have a 43 foot Fifth Wheel. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Groundskeepers were always out and about. However, the site was narrow and barely long enough for trailer and truck. We had torrential rains, which resulted in our section of the park to be ankle deep in water. We were warned not to try and exit by circling the park, as we would not clear the apex of the hill. This resulted in us having to go left out of the site and make two more rapid lefts, up a hill, in the mud. We didn't hit anything. More a tribute to my husband's driving than the set up of the park. If you are a big rig, sites 67-78 are the only reasonable sites. Otherwise, it was a pretty, well-maintained park. Mini golf is in desperate need of renovation, it is rapidly moldering back into the ground. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The people are nice and helpful. The bathrooms and showers are old and run down but clean. That's not the problem. The problem is the campsites are so cramped and packed in together you better make good friends with people who are parked less than 5 feet away. I was given one campsite that literally divided into two by a large tree. I was moved to another site that was so small it was terrible. Very narrow gravel pad, not level (sloped front to back) with a 5 foot (if you're lucky) strip of grass outside your door where 1/2 of it is mud and the other half grass. Typical KOA...and never worth the money unless you like camping on top of strangers. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The staff was very helpful in helping us to navigate to our site after a tree had fallen the night before and blocked one of the interior roads. However, the site was very muddy and the mosquitoes swarmed around us. There was no cable and the shade trees made satellite reception impossible. The wifi service was okay. The campground was fairly close to shopping and services. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Office staff very friendly, site was weird. Just enough room for 23 ft TT and truck. They planted a darn tree right where anyone's awning would come out. Ask to move to next site over they said it's booked. Well NO ONE is there for our stay. Park needs a LOT of work. Some real long term crap staying here. Roads and sites need some stone brought in. It rains and a mud hole we have. Park is in back of industrial area, machine shop can be noisy. Like at 7 AM. Both mornings I wanted to go over there and tell them QUIET. Didn't use the bath or showers or pool. They do have a area with fire pit on the site which helps keep fire ring from being moved. That's nice. Some people like to move them and that makes a mess for the next person. They need to get rid of seasonals or tell them to clean it up. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older park with lovely trees, big sites, and lots of grass. The interior roads are narrow enough that you have to keep your concentration up, but they are doable.

We have been here 4 times and never been disappointed. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but it is close to the Renaisance Faire, our reason for visiting. They also have a huge indoor pool that is even heated, a big plus for the family we were camping with. Nice playground too. The Internet was actually usable most of the time! Very disappointed. When we got there we paid but then looked at the receipt they charged us for the camper to be there and then again for us to be in our camper; when we talked to them about it they never gave us a real answer, just went in circles. When we made the reservation we said there would be a tent as well, we barely had room for the tent. The pools hours were from 9 to 9 but on Sunday night they left the pool unlocked and people were in there until 11:30 yelling and screaming, that was after they came in and turned their music on as loud as they could. We were supposed to have a sewer connection but when we went to actually use it, it was plugged up and unable for us. We had to hook up and go to another site to dump. When everyone had left, since was Sunday the campground was fairly empty, someone came in during the later evening- they put them right next to our sight. When we helped some try to hook up their camper, we got a good sized shock from their power box not being grounded properly. We camped at Minneapolis Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.
