Do not let them put you in the west campground. The only site is narrow, down a small incline (barely cleared the front) grass and mud. The site is only 30 amp not 50. To get to the site you have to drive around a circle without enough clearance from the tree limbs. The area is full of boat trailers which made navigation even harder. If you pull into the office area at the east campground it is impossible to turn around so you have to backup and watch for limbs and boat trailers. I would not stay here again. Our rig is 40' long. We camped at Pine Aire in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I made reservations for 5 nights at Pine Aire and when we arrived the site we were given was not acceptable. Pine Aire Resort caters to seasonal campers. The east end was wide open and completely full of seasonal units packed and stacked. The west end where we were given a site had trees and our site was narrow and muddy. No gravel or grass. We had been told it was 50 amp and it wasn't. We chose not to stay and we lost our $50 deposit. I don't doubt that the resort may be fine for the seasonals but they should not offer these few sites for folks passing through if they can't make them more attractive. Needless to say we would not go back. We camped at Pine Aire in a Fifth Wheel.

We were seeking a campsite near the Kabetogama lake and visitor center in Voyageurs National Park and found this. We called and inquired and the owner said, "Sure, we have a spot for you." Being the peak season in early August we were thrilled. The last site and we snugged in just fine. Level enough, with full hookups. Husband and wife have owned this resort for the past 13 years and most of the folks we met are regular customers. Most of the sites are either cabins or park model units owned privately on the rented space, but there are a few sites for RV's or trailers. We were not right on the water but had a short walk down to the docks. Homey, relaxed atmosphere with no frills. Families abound here. Warning to Verizon users, only AT&T works here both data and cell 4G. We would return. We camped at Pine Aire in a Motorhome.

Pine Aire Resort & RV campground is located on Lake Kabetogama in Voyageurs National Park. International Falls is about 30 miles to the North. It appears most of their RV campsites are rented for the season with just a couple sites rented by the week. The main RV campground is located on a level area between the lake and Gappa Road with a few sites up the side of a hill for more secluded camping. Their restroom and shower was very clean with lots of hot water. They also have 20 cabins, majority with good views of the lake from decks & living rooms. Most of their cabins are located in a level area but several are up the side of a hill. The couple that run Pine Aire, Denise & Niles are very friendly and helpful. Whenever you are coming in from fishing, Niles or his brother always meet you at the pier to help dock your boat. They clean the fish you catch. We hauled our boat to the resort behind our RV and Pine Aire tows it to/from the boatramp with their pickup. They also have boat & motors for rent. Pine Aire's office & lounge are in same log building where they sell fishing licenses; bait & ice at boat dock. There is a small sand beach & pier. They have a couple of beers on tap at the lodge bar that overlooks the lake. They serve toaster oven pizza, not sure about much else. There' s a combination coffee/espresso/latte, pastry & souvenir shop and also a full service restaurant w/bar & a patio within easy walking distance of the resort if you want to dine out and not drive. We camped at Pine Aire in a Motorhome.
