May 2019 - $30.00
Beautiful park with large, green grassy sites, walking trails, and a beach and playground. The managers were very friendly and helpful. - Juniper94
Aug 2016 - $30.00
Love the trails and the beach. Managers were very rude. Water hook up is very inconvenient. Well went out, and managers were very short and rude about giving updates. Left a day early and no refund was offered. Will definitely NOT be going back. - Jodi O
Aug 2015 - $25.00
We stayed for the weekend with two children and our dog. Although the campground and beach were clean and the sites were spacious, the managers were very rude to us and to our kids. No matter how many times we moved our vehicles, they were constantly around to make us get off the grass. We had one tire on the grass! We were told to put our dog on a leash, when their own dog was not on a leash, nor were two dogs on leashes of people I suspect to be seasonal campers. My daughter went to the camp store for ice cream, but was turned away although it was only a few minutes after the store closing. The door was still open. The manager was sitting at the cash register. Really? You couldn't take the 75 cents? Disappointing stay and a beautiful park. - nomadsark

One of 3 campgrounds in and near Hutchinson. It's on a bike/walking blacktop trail, and river. This is always kept very clean and nice. We stayed this time with electric only site nearest the river. There was a little leveling but it worked out nice. Seemed to always be a lot of RVer's which wasn't bad as there was plenty of space between. They are adding spots for RV's and they need to think about adding more wash rooms and showers especially since there are also a lot of tents being use. Love staying here. - kaths
Aug 2019 - $30.00
We loved this place. IT was so close to everything and the bike path went all the way to Minneapolis! NO kidding. You could bike to anything. Lots of green area behind the rv. The full hookups were not along the river. They had a big back yard of grass and trees down to it however. There were only 10 full hook up spaces and two more were being built. Heard they are going to add more. Next to a wildlife place with duck, geese, and deer. The geese so poop all over so be on the look out. Hard to get on weekends due to locals but during the week was easy. Would stay longer and again if in area. Kayak rental during weekends. - DarcysOnTheGO
Jun 2019 - $28.00
Nice park associated with the campground. Walking/biking trails, game park, bandshell & lovely lawn & picnic areas. There is no one there to check in with. Bathroom without toilet paper, okay clean but not immaculate like some parks. Dirt from recent digging all around our site so rugs necessary to keep our dog clean. Would return but hope there is grass around sites & bathrooms are better cared for. - Debra Zillmer
Sep 2017 - $49.00
We booked at this resort in May for Labor Day weekend. Upon arriving they told us we were in a different site than we booked, ok fine we thought, as the gentleman brought us to our site (we would have never found it otherwise) the site was for a 25ft motorhome, we booked for a 40ft. We were not going to fit any way you looked at it. Tree branches are beyond in need of cutting back, roads are narrow and strange angles. They did not have any other sites available, so we were out of luck for a camping weekend. I felt the place was pretty run down. The pictures on the website are definitely not current. We will not go back to this campground. - jejmjj5
Mar 2017 - $10.00
More park models than vacationers. A bit more primitave than we were hoping for. Biggest issues was parking 5th wheel. Bad angels to back in. Many low branches on roads that hit top of 5er. Got stuck at one point but neighbor helped us out. Mostly older campers, but ok. Many amenities but not exactly a resort. It's a little rougher in person than looks on website. - GinaMarielovestoTravel
Jul 2015 - $41.00
This is a campground filled with lots of seasonal trailers. This place is huge! We were there for just a one night stay over. Everything is old but fairly well kept. The better lots are across the highway away from the office. We stayed in a full hookup back in site. We needed our extension cord to reach the electrical box, as all the hookups are at the front of most sites. Pool was warm, clean and well cared for. Private seasonal campgrounds are not for us, but some must like them. - tslarson
Jul 2005 - $18.00
Very nice wooded sites. Lots of privacy. It was kind of inconvenient to have to cross a highway to access the baseball field and beach. There is no RV camping on the lake side, just tents. Very strict on quiet times, almost too strict. There was no complaints on us, but the manager came twice to tell us that we needed to be quieter. We were just sitting around the campfire talking, not being loud at all. Lots of games to keep the kids busy. We didn't go on any hikes, but there were numerous trails to go hiking on. Very nice campground, just remember to keep it to a whisper at quiet times. We would visit here again. - Kristine Birkholz
Jun 2014 - $38.00
Rating reflects no cable and no wifi at sites. But for money it is a great place to camp. Huge sites, grassy and well kept. Fire pits and tables. Mostly seasonal campers with permanent sites but there is still room for the drop ins. Road down to water , office, and pool a bit narrow. Watch speed bumps. Owners are pleasant and welcoming; they live on site and are available. Bar and restaurant on premises and food was good. Lots of weekend special events for people. Would return here. - Jmh510
Aug 2010 - $31.00
This is an off the beaten path location which is absolutely beautiful chain of lakes. Boaters bring your boats. This campground has many seasonal sites but does offer a special new street of back in sites with full hookups and good satellite coverage. Campground has marina, launch, indoor pool and bar. They have no dedicated website so a call is in order. We will likely return to this area. - jones4110
Jul 2017 - $35.00
This is a decent park but with a few issues. The pool, clubhouse, volley ball and basketball courts are all very nice amenities. There is also a storm shelter under the clubhouse, which we did have to use on night as a storm came through, with a tornado warning attached. The roads getting into the park are a little narrow with a lot of tree branch overhang. Fortunately, we never met any one coming or going. Not sure how that would have turned out?
The sites are pretty much just grass, but very spacious, and the hookup are excellent. And my site, #79, and many of the other sites are not very level. I could not get my front end low enough to get completely level, but it worked out. The lake at the park is not really usable. But there is a great lake just a short distance away (Green Lake) in the town of Spicer and it is really nice with a public sand beach.
The park seems to be mostly used by seasonal tenants who leave their RV here all season. We arrived on a Saturday and our reserved spot was the last site left in the park. By Sunday evening, the park was like a ghost town. All the seasonal people went home (their RVs were still here). But it did make for a nice and quiet four days for us. And of course this is Minnesota in the summer time, so bring plenty of mosquito repellent. While I wish there were more options for parks in this area, I would stay certainly stay here again. - littleapple
Jun 2017 - $35.00
We have stayed here in the past and loved it. This time only 9 spaces available for overnight stays as they have let permanent seasonal takeover 95% of the park (and the best spots). Assigned 2 different spots and both times it was already occupied but finally got settled in an unlevel spot. Wish there were more options available in the immediate area. - Travelingfriends
Sep 2014 - $35.00
This is a very nice, quiet campground with large, green grassy sites. You have to drive through the lower campground to get to the office, which is a little confusing. All of the sites in the upper campground are seasonal, as well as several in the lower campground. There are only small trees on the sites which wouldn't provide much shade. We couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work. There is a pool, game room, large playground, volleyball court, and horseshoes. The restrooms/showers attached to the main lodge building are finished nicely and are clean, but were not well maintained, as at least one was out of toilet paper. The showers in the adjacent building are large but still bare concrete. All showers require quarters to operate. I would have given this campground a ten if they didn't charge you to use the showers after you've already paid to camp there, and if the Wi-Fi worked. - Juniper94
Aug 2011 - $45.00
Sites are on the smaller side but not too bad. Very grassy which was great. Paved roads, great owners, nice swimming beach (although the water was high when we were there, so the beach wasn't as big.) Campground is mostly seasonal. That's OK as we weekenders were accepted well. Codgers is located right next to a town ball baseball field. We would like to stay there next time when they are playing. Great dock fishing here and pontoon rental. Really can't say enough good things about this place. We will be making this a staple on our yearly agenda. - bunny102
