The place is clean and well maintained. The problem is the hostess and the patrons are rude, noisy, foul-mouthed, and generally inebriated. Dogs have the run of the place. Full body tattoos are practically a requirement. Most of the rigs have not moved from their mooring since Ronald Reagan was in the White House. You share 15 amp service with your neighbor. However if you like loud bonfire parties until 4 AM this is the place for you. - baxterrv
Aug 2010 - $30.00
Very nice setting with beautiful lake, nice beach, tavern, nice deck and yard area. However, if you are looking for drunken, loud and generally rude staff and guests then this your place. Radios blasting and large dogs barking and running around untethered are another hallmark of this place. - baxterrv

I stayed here for two nights while passing through in a 27 foot motorhome with a tow car. Smaller state park gifted to state by Lindbergh's family after his historic flight -- it was the family farm on the Mississippi River. Lindbergh House and Museum are across the street from the park. Two loops -- a 15 site electric loop and a 22 site primitive loop. Set up is a little weird. The water/dump station is to the right of the electric loop. If you fill up with water you have to circle around the primitive campground or by the bath house and come back down to enter the one way road into the electric loop. The problem is that from that direction the angle into the one way road was too sharp for me to make the turn and I ended up having to drive out of the park (there was no turn around loop at the front of the park) and turning around up near the city and coming back into the park. This wasn't just me -- I watched someone with a pick up and large trailer who ended up doing the same thing. There is no issue if you don't have to fill up with water first or if you have a small camper. Sites themselves are nice -- very wide gravel with dirt and separated from other sites by thick trees -- in fact the whole campground part of the park is in deep forest. There are indeed a LOT of mosquitos. The trails are wonderful -- well maintained (a few boggy areas but nothing impassable), well marked, and mostly through the forest and along the creek -- but again -- bring your insect repellent. I can't imagine the park ever feeling crowded even when full. Very quiet and secluded feeling. Verizon worked well. - SoloRed

I did a drive thru of Crow Wing and Lindbergh parks to see if I would like to stay. I have a smaller travel trailer and I don't think my TT would fit in any of the sites. Again, this campground was designed for tents, teardrops and pop ups. The sites were somewhat spread out, low on grass and high on mud after rain storm. A bonus is the campground is small, so less noise. In the city of Little Falls, so supplies are near. I will likely pass on staying here as other parks are so great. Please check out this campground for yourself as I did an eyeball assessment, which isn't fair. I will continue to watch reviews. - brendajoro
Sep 2016 - $11.00
I was there for the fall color. Absolutely awesome. Very few campers, great trails to walk, quiet and peaceful. There are no annoying lights. You can hear distant trains sometimes at night but they're far enough away to be cool. A river runs behind the camp sites and bridges on the trails to cross it. Enough conveniences locally to make it fun and interesting. All in all it was a great visit - Dead Mule John

This is a campground open for active, retired, reserve Military ID holders at the Camp Ripley ANG base just north of Little Falls, MN. It is a gem! Sites are w&e with a dump available. Tall oaks, red & white pines and poplar trees grace the campground. Sites are level concrete and nicely spaced. Each has a metal picnic table and gill/firepit. A large, clean rest room and shower facility is conveniently located. There is free firewood and there are three free laundries on the base. The campground is exceedingly clean. It is located along the Mississippi River. Walking/biking paths are convenient to the campground. Verizon signal is strong. We might have had the only site where you can get a satellite tv signal from a rooftop mounted unit. Several guests used portable satellite units. - SunStar203
Aug 2017 - $17.00
Beautiful park with spacious sites and lots of trees. Short walk to the river. Mosquitoes are present even with the camp spraying for them. All sites are back-ins onto level concrete pads. Wifi is a puzzle....none of our devices would connect because of lack of security, even though we've connected to many unsecured campground wifi set-ups. Camp host said many people had complained about it but his calls to the powers-that-be brought no answers or solutions. Verizon hotspot and cell phone worked well. Only negative is not having sewer at site but the dump station is very convenient. No commissary but Walmart in Little Falls is under 10 miles away. OTA TV worked well, but probably too heavily shaded for satellite service. Would definitely stay again. - all4pets
Jun 2017 - $17.00
Nice quiet campground. Newly built Restrooms and showers. Free firewood. Excellent host. Excellent Verizon cell service. No Dish Satelite for us due to the trees on most sites. 40' x 20' concrete pads on all sites. - T_E_B

May 2010 - $12.00
A small, well kept park for smaller rigs. I called ahead to ask if there would be a problem with a big rig, as a previous poster had mentioned. The owners answer was that he could handle any size rig. That may be true if you don't mind a few scratchs from low hanging tree branches and putting strain on axles because of the tight turn requirements because branches are hanging down. Also, there's a very steep short incline driving into the camping area. There is only one 50 amp site, no Wi-Fi, the camp sites are right by the freeway, and the train crossing is also very close. We would not stay again. - run2
Jun 2009 - $11.00
Small little park in conjunction with a 7 unit motel. Very clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. It is a little tight for big rigs. We stayed here in a 38ft fifth wheel. The rate was for Passport America. Wi-fi is very weak and unreliable. - Davesam

The staff that we encountered was not very friendly or helpful. One male subject acted as if he was put out when asked a question about mail service. We had our own Kayaks but they will not transport you if you do not rent from them. We were willing to pay a fee for transportation to the river put in but no deal. There are a lot of seasonal people here so, maybe the staff takes better care of them and to check with the transient travelers. - JR 108
Sep 2016 - $30.00
Our camping club, the MN Going Gophers, held their fall camp out at Two Rivers this year. We had 16 units in attendance so we got a group discount. While the nightly rate is on the pricey side in the summer, it's very reasonable before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with making the arrangements and while we were camping. An employee stopped by during our stay just to remind us that the pavilion was available if we wanted to use it and to see if we needed anything. The campground is beautiful with lush, green grass, large level sites, and well maintained buildings and landscaping. The lower campground is surrounded on three sides by the two rivers. Every site in the lower campground has a good view of the rivers and there are many sites right on the river shore. The upper campground does not have a view of the rivers but is closer to the office, pool, pavilion, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, and it's a short walk down to the rivers. There was a small pine tree on our site that prevented us from backing in far enough to park our truck in front of the camper, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to open the awning. We were able to park the truck perpendicular to the camper though so it wasn't a problem. One unusual feature of this campground is that they have a security gate. You have to pay $20 for a gate card and register every vehicle with the office. You get the $20 back when you check out. This was a little inconvenient when a member of our group arrived early Saturday morning but couldn't get in the gate. Even when her husband, who had a gate card, went to let her in, an employee noticed and said she couldn't go in because her car wasn't registered with the office and the office didn't open until 9:00am. There is a large parking lot next to the office that she had to leave her car in. - Juniper94
Jul 2015 - $45.00
Overall very satisfied with this park. Staff was generally friendly except for a couple of people working the pool area. Sites were great. Layout of the campground was ideal. Very level and spacious. Nearby river offered plenty of activities. Tubing was fun. Beach and pool were well maintained and the kids loved both. Mini golf was a well maintained course, but cost extra. Camp store had the bare minimum. Nearest store of any significance is 20 minutes away, so bring what you need. Several minor details to keep in mind. 1) Campground was difficult to find. Signage was not easily visible, with grass and weeds covering most of the sign and GPS was not helpful. Trying to find it in a downpour in a big rig with a tow in farm fields was challenging. Office staff was not answering phones to guide us in. 2) Shower houses, although clean, were limited. There are only two for the entire camp with one toilet and several showers in each. Plan ahead if you have to use it! Its a hike! 3) Advertised WiFi was essentially non-existent from our site. Didn't bother us, but be aware. Despite these inconveniences, we would definitely stay again. Perfect for a long weekend away with the kids. - mm1407

The owner was nice and got our toy hauler backed in quickly. Plenty of activities for kids at the campground (we rented the paddle boats). Current was limited to 30A which was fine since it was cool and rainy. However the water tasted and smelled strongly of iron. We were going to do laundry but didn't due to the water. I didn't see any mention of it in the other reviews, so maybe it's a recent development. Sewer at the site, but it was high off the ground. Drainage was a little difficult. Price was high for what you get IMO. - Idcruiserman

Best Family Campground in MN! Owners are fabulous, park is always clean...pool is well taken care of, bathrooms are well kept. Exciting playground for kids! Also on a lake so you can choose pool or lake. Really look no further and book early! - Christy14

We stayed here in a travel trailer for 5 wonderful nights. The owners were wonderful people (who made us feel like we were home). We got shown to our site, and they even helped us back into our spot (which had a concrete patio). We had a lake site spot, which had a wonderful view every day :) I would recommend this campground. - Close to Home Mom

No reservations - First Come First Serve only. Very nice county park with dirt roads. Sites are basically park on the grass. There are 3 sites with 50 amp service, about 15 with 30 amp service, and more with just 20 amp mostly for tent camping. It was very quiet here, not much going on during the week. Weekends may be different!!!!! Lots of trees but a few spots where satellite will work and I found one with 30 amp service - power and water only and dump station when you leave. Good place to stay when exploring the area and St Cloud. - Johnny xxxxx

Just passing through MN and came across this little gem in Rice, MN. Can't beat the price! Checked in on a Sunday afternoon, the place was pretty much deserted. Quiet, 44-site campground with something for everyone. 50 amp service, water, tons of activities such as frisbee golf, horseshoes, basketball court, playground for the kiddos. Flush toilets and clean showers. This is an honor system campground. We picked our site, set up the motor home and walked to the office and put our $20 in an envelope. Very cool! Easy access and plenty of room for our 42' Gulf Stream. We had dinner down the street at a quaint little bar and grill called Rumors. Try the fried chicken, for sure! - Ekstrom Fyra

I am basing this review strictly on a drive-thru or preview of the campground. Agreed that the sites are uneven, muddy after a rain, the electric sites are close together and somewhat small. Very shady, so I'm guessing after the rain, mosquitoes would be terrible. Easy access to the highway. My eyeball impression is that this park was designed for tents, teardrops and pop ups. There is a cool non-electric wagon wheel set up that would be fun if you were camping with a group of people. Ranger at check in was very nice. I'm not crossing off this campground from my list because there seems to be interesting things to do and explore. Maybe a day trip. I'm rating a 6 as I didn't see everything. Campground a is a 4. - brendajoro
May 2017 - $29.00
This review is based on having used the campground as well. The park and campground are great - if I could, I'd rate 9 for the park itself and 5 for the campground; reason being, MANY of the sites are way too far from being level. I never camp anywhere that stabilizer jacks aren't needed (those are to level your camper, if you're not an RVer) - but site #3 was absolutely ridiculous. We weren't able to switch because all the other electric sites were booked as well. As I walked the campground I saw that many of the sites were also pretty far from level. Not the end of the world for the others I'm sure, but DO NOT stay on site 3 if you've got a trailer of any kind. - MNAnna
Jun 2016 - $29.00
The staff was very pleasant and not intrusive at all but made loops through the campground frequently. One major thing to note is the proximity to Camp Ripley - they were doing drills day & night so be warned if you don't enjoy the sound of guns shooting or explosions at 3am it might not be the best place for you to camp. Otherwise the campground is nice & shaded. The showers are HOT so be careful. Also not good water pressure at fill/dump station. - Lynz24

A vert shady RV park with lots of elbow room. Spacious pull-troughs. Very clean and reasonably quiet. Grassy pull-through lots can be soggy in rainy weather. Staff very friendly and helpful. Have stayed here before, and likely to return. - W Davidson

This is a lovely park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The buildings are clean and kept up. Lots of shade, and a quiet place. Lots are strangely laid out, but usable and with good service. - W Davidson
Aug 2013 - $32.00
We stayed here in a 41 foot Monaco Motorhome for 4 nights. We have relatives in Little Falls (22 miles away) which was very convenient. The owners on sight were very cordial and helpful even to cut a pine tree branch so it wouldn't rub the side of our slide. The spaces are so wide you could fit 2 campers in one site. Plenty of parking for our relatives to use. The ac, but observed owner cleaning them each morning. Hard workers and it shows. Clean park would give it a 10 out of 10. Would stay again in a heart beat! Thanks owners for a pleasant stay. - Liv'in The American Dream
