We were in a tent in the overflow area. Our lot was mostly dirt which for a tent wasn't ideal. Also there was broken glass in the area which we had to clean. 1 porta potty in our area which was clean and not to bad. The main bathrooms and bathhouse was a little walk. The shower stall is just cement stall no way to control water temp and spiders on the walls with a very dirty floor(I kept my sandals on). It's mostly used for beach goers I think, not so much campers. In the camping area there were no garbage can's at all. You had to bag your own garbage and walk it down to dumpsters which isn't to far a walk but an inconvenience. Also if your going there bring Yard Guard bug spray or a fogger, the mosquitoes are horrible. The park itself is very busy along with the lake with skiers. If you plan on fishing do it early morning or evening as it's really busy with skiers. Overall will come again, but will maybe come when cooler and not so many skiers. We camped at Bray Park in a Tent.

The sites are fine and I have always liked the lake. The beach and rental of kayaks and SUP's are great. However the water supply smelled like rotten eggs and lake water and the mosquitoes were horrible! They need to deal with both situations immediately. I was really disappointed because it was really nice 2 years ago when I stayed there. We camped at Bray Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is well kept. Mosquitoes terrible, they don't spray. Can't be out after sunset. Water isn't fit to use; not for drinking, showers or dishes. We have to bleach our water, it smells so bad. We camped at Bray Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The hosts/owners were very friendly and helpful. The sites are not extremely large, but there is a huge open area for yard games and kids to play. The swim beach was a huge hit with the kids. There are also 2 large playgrounds. I have stayed here before and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bray Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hiking and fishing. There is a nice boat landing, or you could walk/drive down to the fishing pier 1/2 mile away.

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice county park. The camp hosts are very gracious and accommodating. The roads are paved but very narrow. The sites are huge, size wise, however they are just barely long enough for a large (40ft) rig and a car or truck. They only have 30 amp service and the water is rusty and left a stain in my commode. The price reflects a senior discount and is good only Monday thru Thursday. The road thru the campground is raised and very narrow and it is somewhat difficult to back into the sites without the front wheels of the rig dropping off the edge of the roadway. As the previous commentary stated the park has a nice swimming beach, lots of picnic areas, a playground, a boat ramp and lots of areas to hike, ride a bike or just enjoy the outdoors. It is very difficult to get a spot to camp on week-ends as they can reserve the spots in January for the whole summer. I would stay here again. We camped at Bray Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is right on Lake Madison (although you have to walk down 50 stairs to get to it or walk down to the man-made beach). During the summer there are lots of people at the small beach area. There are a couple very nice shelters as well. It is flat and spread out. No water hookups which was an issue because the water in the campground is rusty. When we stayed here in August the dump station was not working either. The park ranger is friendly. A big word of warning: when they say they close the gates at 10:00, they lock the gates and you will not get back in! Because we stay here to visit friends, we will return. Even with the lack of water/sewer it is a pleasant campground. The majority of the sites are small back-ins, but there are 15 or so sites that work fine for bigger rigs, although they can be tricky to get into from the road. We camped at Bray Park in a Fifth Wheel.
