10 RV Parks near Miltona, Minnesota
Jul 2019 - $31.00
WOW! This park is quite a way off the interstate but it is worth the drive. We had no issues in our 45' motorhome. The sites are huge with a picnic table and fire ring. They have lots for kids to do - pool, playground, baseball field, BMX track. Only 2 bars of Verizon here. There is a great little golf course called Double Eagle Golf & Grill that is well maintained and has great food. - BnK_RVLife
Jul 2019 - $30.00
We needed a park that had long enough pull throughs for our MH and car trailer and this park is the only one that had space available for a 2 week stay in the area. Very rural but easy in and out, long fairly level grass sites with good FHU convieniently located. Busy on weekends during summer mostly younger familys and the park is very kid friendly with some fishermen but not as noisy as we had expected. Quiet during the week. Not much signage and when we called for directions they were pretty generic but GPS did guide us right to the entrance. Verizon was good and we did not use park wqi-fi. Would stay again if needing FHU for extended period of time. - run2
Aug 2018 - $40.00
The rate I listed does not include the extra $5.00 per dog we were charged. This campground is quiet and clean, but for the money charged, I would expect the grass sites to be concrete, or at least gravel, and be more level. The office is rarely manned and most everything is handled on the "honor" system. The utilities worked well but the sewer inlet was a bit high which might cause some to have a bit of a problem. Overall, this campground was easily accessed, and the internal roads were wide enough for the biggest rigs, although we kicked up a lot of dust as we drove through. - glenstmary

We stayed in the lower campground on Father's Day weekend. We were warned when we arrived that army worms and bugs were bad in the upper campground. We didn't have bug issue in lower section due to strong winds, but the worms were gross. We thought the campground was going to be much larger from the map view. It's a nice sized campground, but very open. The lake is viewable from every site. We were lucky that there was such a breeze as temps were close to 90 degrees. It felt like 75 with the wind. The campers on lake could not put out their awnings due to the high winds. Our friend tried to paddle board, but it was too hard. Wind completely stopped at 6 p.m. on Saturday. We are not fans of back to back campsites, but we were with a group of friends. Our hybrid bunk end was 6 feet from the neighbors slide out kitchen. Our bunk end had to be zipped up, so we didn't get cooking odors. People did start to leave on Saturday evening due to weather forecast, also a non-issue. We used the older bathrooms near the boat launch which was clean. Friends said the newer bathrooms on the other side was very nice. Most of the back row sites have fire pits close to the road. We found out that there is a swamp behind the back row sites, so they could flood or be buggy. Camped in an expandable travel trailer. We will definitely return. - brendajoro
Jul 2017 - $23.00
We stayed at site 149 in the Lower Campground. The Lower Campground is on the lake, and it is a gem. The boat launch is right next to the lower campground. If you have a boat you can beach it right at the lower campground.
This campground has both electric and non-electric sites, and are back-in sites. The sites all book up fast during the summer, especially the electric ones. You are only supposed to be able to book the sites one year in advance. Some folks have found a way to manipulate the reservation system by changing their dates after they make reservations. Point is, plan very early.
This park is one of the nicer ones in the state, and is within 9 miles of Alexandria, which will have all supplies necessary. A pretty well stocked convenience & liquor store (with propane) is only a mile a half away too.
The upper campground contains a mix of fairly open and nicely wooded sites, so make sure you know what you're reserving if you have a preference. The upper campground is not on the lake itself, but the boat launch is only about 1/3 mile away. Both campgrounds have hookups and nice showers & restrooms. There is also a dump station at the park.
The ranger station also has ice, firewood, and a few basics. Do not bring outside firewood into the park as it is banned. There is also a swimming beach, hiking trails, fish cleaning station, and dump site within the park.
If there is one drawback here, the extra parking gets tight when the campground is full. All in all, Lake Carlos is a really nice state park, just plan your summer stay early. - Nthernlgts
Jul 2016 - $31.00
This was a very popular state park. Seemed like every slot was full. The site was clean and well laid out. We only stayed for one night but truly enjoyed this campground. We arrived late and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly even though it was time for them to go home. - CO_Clarks

May 2018 - $40.00
This is an older motel (re-named several times) at some time they added the RV sites in an inner and outer loop. Not sure anything is level, we sure were not. IMHO not worth the $$, but there is nothing else in the area with FHU. Pets welcome, no dog area, but plenty of grass in the middle (this floods with rains). OTA TV. We stayed here to visit family in the area, if there is a next time I will look harder at other options. - Sergent Major
Jun 2017 - $22.00
Sites could use some leveling, but CG is clean. Price is very good. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Wifi is very usable. This is not a 'resort' CG, but if you want somewhere to stay while going out and about, it's great. For the best satellite and wifi reception, get an inner spot. - Walt Bennett
Jul 2016 - $38.00
This park is mostly a location for working in the local area. The manager was very nice and gave me a site but added that she wasn't sure if someone was there or not. If so, then pick an open site. Even though she didn't ask me to return and give her my location if I moved, I did anyway. They had some storms the night before and she wasn't sure if the Wi-Fi would work or not. Later in the day and this morning it seems to be working OK. The park is small with dirt/gravel sites that are small but it works for an overnight. It was quiet so I would stay here again when passing through. I selected tight turns for interior roads but that is mainly due to parking of the residents. If they were to park properly, then no big deal for the tight turns. - Jack&Wanda
May 2009 - $25.00
We recently rented an RV Lot for the season and have been very pleased with the resort. It's well-maintained and has a private beach, marina, shower house and fish cleaning house. We also received a dock slip with the rental and plan to use the lake all summer. Overall it's a very nice RV park. - AlexandriaMNRV
Sep 2019 - $36.00
Wish it hadn't been rainy & cold we would have enjoyed this park a lot more. Lovely setting with ponds and plenty of trees. Sites were level & well maintained. Services easy to access. - Our-Wandering-Casa
Aug 2019 - $41.00
Really nice CG, quiet and in the country. Lots of shade trees. Spacious sites, gravel and grass. We were in a pull through site which was level with good hookups. Several seasonal/permanent. Owners keep everything nice. Little lake with paddle boats. Pool and playground. Large grassy field in the back is ideal for dog walking. We would definitely stay again. - Motorhome girl
Aug 2019 - $28.00
As I pulled into this Park had many concerns about what I had gotten into, but was quickly surprised. Quick friendly check in and excellent escort to site, site was long packed pea gravel and so level did not use my equipment. Large tree would not allow satellite use but OTA was fine, sewer was at the very back of the site but a very long PVC pipe was present for extension but this set up made the entrance 13" above ground. Was informed that Wifi was having problems and only available at the office. Lots of trees and grassy area for pooch as no Dog Park. Well maintained park with pool and nice play area, small store with limited supplies. Only drawback I found was there is NOTHING around this park for 10 miles in any direction. (Some folks may like this) Verizon 3 bars. - Tahoetom
Aug 2019 - $25.00
This park was nearly deserted the 2 days I was here. It is only about 2 miles from I-94 and 5 miles from downtown. You have to cross a private RR crossing. The first 24 hours, there were about 8 trains, the next 24 only 2. The train horn will wake you up. If the wind is from the north you hear the traffic from the interstate. On Monday night maybe 10 shooters were there until dark. On Tuesday it isn't open.
When it is open there is a person to pay who comes in about 5 PM, if no one is here you use a drop box. There is 1 washer and dryer ($1 each). You can find a site that is level without using levelors. - mrracechaser
Aug 2019 - $20.00
Pulled in and had just a little difficulty finding the self registration (its by the Managers residence) but easy self check in with numerous wide, long and grassy sites to choose from. Middle of the week and only a few other RVs onsite. 50 amp power available but you may have to search a little. Water pressure was very good and we did not use the onsite dumpstation. We would certainly stay again if traveling through the area. - run2
Sep 2017 - $20.00
This park office opens at 2:00 so if you get there earlier, just look at the board and pick a spot. Once the office opens just stop in and pay. It's a very laid back place with lots of grass. Our site was easy to level in and the utility post was well located. It was not busy at all while we were there. All pull thru sites. The 50 amp sites seem to be at the end of the rows toward the office. Dump station is located near the entrance and they charge $4. We stayed here in a 42'MH towing. Would definitely stay here again, very peaceful. Walmart etc nearby. - User3025
May 2018 - $15.00
On a holiday weekend when most parks are full and noisy, this little park is quiet, shady and offers a good night's sleep for weary travelers. Grass lots a little confusing to pick your place, But there was adequate space and people cooperated in their choices. What a bargain for an overnight. Be aware there is no staff, no office, no amenities other than full hook ups a picnic table, shade and a toilet. - W Davidson
Oct 2014 - $15.00
Pretty little small town campsite perfect for an overnight. Drop box to pay at the washrooms, $15 gives you a modern full service campsite with electricity, water, sewer. (Cash or cheque only.) There is a nice children's playground in the same park. Town itself is a typical midwestern one with gas and groceries available within walking distance. Police station is visible from the park so we felt safe. Mature trees, nicely tended grass, all very clean. The campground is run by volunteers and any one of them driving by checks up. You must register within 4 hours of arriving. We had only one complaint, that being there is also a rest area for truck drivers nearby and there was a lot of coming and going of trucks all night long. Still for an overnight, especially when in October when so many places are closed, it was perfect. - Judy Birchland
Jul 2016 - $33.00
A vert shady RV park with lots of elbow room. Spacious pull-troughs. Very clean and reasonably quiet. Grassy pull-through lots can be soggy in rainy weather. Staff very friendly and helpful. Have stayed here before, and likely to return. - W Davidson
Jul 2015 - $30.00
This is a lovely park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The buildings are clean and kept up. Lots of shade, and a quiet place. Lots are strangely laid out, but usable and with good service. - W Davidson
Aug 2013 - $32.00
We stayed here in a 41 foot Monaco Motorhome for 4 nights. We have relatives in Little Falls (22 miles away) which was very convenient. The owners on sight were very cordial and helpful even to cut a pine tree branch so it wouldn't rub the side of our slide. The spaces are so wide you could fit 2 campers in one site. Plenty of parking for our relatives to use. The ac, but observed owner cleaning them each morning. Hard workers and it shows. Clean park would give it a 10 out of 10. Would stay again in a heart beat! Thanks owners for a pleasant stay. - Liv'in The American Dream
