The speed bumps are not well marked and a couple are pretty high. If you pick a campsite along the river bring plenty of leveling blocks--the sites are very un-level--slope toward the river. Roads in the camp are ok, not great but useable. - Jdon

Very limited places to stay nearby in Fargo. This park has no online reses but can be made by telephone. No refunds if you don’t use the site. Very tight quarters in campground A. There were some 40-45 footers but takes a little maneuvering. Trees blocked satellite. Water and electric only. Dump station is convenient for campground A but a trek from the other campground on the river. Road noise from nearby interstate is loud. Very little room between sites. There is another group of sites on the river with 30 amps which looked more spacious and scenic. Overall the park itself is large and very attractive and close to everything. It’s a trade-off; a little cramped but convenient. Just as a side note, save yourself a trip to Red River Fairgrounds. They allow unlimited stays so it looked like many campers had been there a very long time. No sites available. - Team Asphalt

They claim to be the best campground in the upper Midwest - what a joke! Asphalt in sites is broken up and very bumpy with holes. Sites given do not allow for adequate space to park tow vehicles and then they have the nerve to place a note on your windshield to move the vehicle - even when you are NOT on the grass (what grass - it's worn out) and are NOT blocking the roadway! Had to use an extra water hose since the spigot was on the wrong side! - wjhgolf4

Hi, As per the Campground Website the location is closed for 2012 and available for lease. - User3761

Sadly-not much in this area w/ Full hook-ups so-GOOD LUCK. 3 days here was long enough. When we arrived another camper had their vehicle parked in our area as they were told no one was coming into that site even though we had made reservations 2 months in advance, and called them to confirm that morning. We thought the 'dog park' was a good thing until we saw it. It was not mowed and we would of lost site of our new puppy in it. However the check-in girl happily showed us where it was located on the map with no mention of it's lack of up-keep. Some sites so wet/mucky that it made the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes, and we left there with all the bites to prove it. I could go on & on but I think you get the point. - Collie Campers

If there was a zero rating I would have given that. It's no longer a KOA; is now Moorhead Fargo Campground. Muddy, narrow sites, no effort to clean up things after too much rain, pool has no water; overflowing trash can by pool. I put two loads of laundry in before I discovered neither of the driers were working, and the young girl running the place gave me change for the washers and didn't mention it. None of the video games inside were working. The water from the tap was brown; luckily we had a filter to put on when we saw it. We would have driven an extra hundred miles if we'd known how bad this place is. - laker403

I didn't actually stay here because there was only 1 site with overgrown weeds in the section where it is nothing but permanent residents. The electric box supplies power to 4 units and I don't think I had enough cord to reach. The section where the bathroom and pay station is seems better but it is also full of permanent residents. I doubt you can get a site in this park as there is obviously no limits to the amount of time you can stay and no reservations.. - mrracechaser
Sep 2018 - $30.00
We got there at 3pm and only found electric sites open. Older section has w/s/e and the front part of new section does also. Newer section will fit any size rig. Older section back to back with one large pull through on the end. Dump station with water in older section. Both sections nice with grass. Good for dogs.Take Main Street which is four lanes. Other exit narrow neighborhood roads. Construction on exit ramp when we were here. Don't follow google maps! - Waterfairy

Our site was electric only, so $30 was a bit expensive. However, we really enjoyed being within walking distance of the county fair, which was quite entertaining. The concrete pad was perfectly level and the site was quite spacious and quiet. The restrooms were well-maintained and the self-checkin process was simple. We were pleased to see a person patrolling the grounds for security at night. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. - John A Guderian

A small State park but with nice level sites, electric only but convenient dump station and water fill. Little or no AT&T and no Wifi. Quiet.. I94 is not real far away. Walking paths and a swimming hole. Easy maneuvering but have to look at each site to see if it’s long enough for your rig. Satellite service questionable because of trees. Ample room between sites. Would definitely stay again. Electric only but dump station and water fill are convenient. $30 plus 7 park fee for tow. Would have given it 5 stars but no water and sewer at the site. There aren’t a lot of choices near Fargo for such a nice and growing city. - Team Asphalt
Aug 2019 - $30.00
PROS: Convenient overnight stay right off interstate 10. Shady, spacious sites. Quiet, peaceful. Small, attractive, secure campground. CONS: Mosquitoes made it IMPOSSIBLE to sit outside your camper all day long or walk the trails. Electric hookup only. ATT service spotty at best. No wifi. Swimming Pool closed for season as well as the Nature Center. University Research Center only open during special outings for school children. - Breezy2
Jun 2019 - $25.00
Very pleasant woodsy park that is small and limited in site hookups - electric only. Staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. - Roger H.

Dogs tied-up, poop piles decorating the grass between sites, dilapidated RV's with yard trash-this CG evokes a Gypsy work camp! Unbelievably, back-in sites are shoehorned in next to pull-thru sites-I stepped out my door onto the patio mat of a Casita 3 feet away. At this time of year, travelers are few; most residents are working the sugar beet harvest, meaning mornings and evenings are noisy with people going about the business of making a living. The CG is well-lighted at night, not in small measure due to the garishly lighted Casselton city water tank towering above the park outside the fence. Internal roads are pot-holed and in bad shape, but turns are navigable for big rigs-there are no trees. Park Wi-Fi works only during non-peak hours and we experienced one electrical outage during our 4 night stay. It's immediately clear that running an RV park is not the primary business here. So, does this mean the park is a total avoid? No! The check-in process at the Days Inn across the street was exceptionally friendly and efficient-CG guests receive a coupon for 10% off breakfast in the motel restaurant and a free pass to the hot tubs within the motel water park. Pull-thru site 513 was long and level and utilities were easy to reach. TV reception was exceptional, pulling almost 30 clear and sharp OTA channels. And finally, there's this: Most folks don't come here to sit outside and savor the sunset. From inside your coach, everything's cozy. This is as good as it gets-if you intend to visit Fargo and can find closer CGs with the same amenities and higher ratings, you're a better researcher than me! - TMN-15

Appears to be several full timers here. Sites close lots of trash plastic bottles laying next to trailers. - Never Lost
Aug 2019 - $44.00
As others have stated this is just a port in a storm. It looks like they added short back ins between the long pull thrus where grass used to grow. The long pull thrus have grass that is cut but the sites to the west need a lot of weed eating. There are holes in the roads. Extremely over priced for what you get. - mrracechaser
