9 RV Parks near Princeton, Minnesota
Sep 2016 - $25.00
This would be a decent $12 park.
The park has a nice playground and riverside - which is open to the public/city.
The sites are 90 degree turns with a pretty narrow asphalt road. The road has sunken near the restroom (septic system?) They had dumped a bunch of big river rock to compensate.
We had a 40 rig and arrived at night, and in the rain. There was a lot of standing water. I was worried that we were going to get stuck if we had to drive in the grass. I found one site that had an angle to it, but we had to drive over the sunken part of the road. My husband said "I'll just gun it!" and we made it.
Sites are electric only with posts with 20 and 30 amp stuck every-other site. Presumably shared?
There was a dropbox with self-registration. $25 a night. Price increases after 14 days. I never saw a ranger.
There was a water spigot in the center of campground. A pick up truck came and filled 2- 55 gallon drums.
NO DUMP STATION!
Bathroom was a running water toilet and sink only, no showers. Dusty, low quality. - mmette00
Sep 2010 - $20.00
A place to stop. Fairly private. Not very handy for bigger rigs, our 30 ft 5ver used every bit of the roads and needed grass to finish the turns. Some trees need pruning. - stetwood
Aug 2018 - $40.00
Spent the last week here visiting our daughter. It's out in the country but still has plenty of conveniences within 10 minutes. The road in is a very bumpy dirt road. Park was very busy for the weekend but didn't feel crowded and the noise stopped right at 10pm. We had a full hookup site right by the playground to the delight of our 3 year old granddaughter! The pool and splash pad were also a hit. During the week after the weekenders went home, the park was very quiet and peaceful. We will definately stay here again. - mike346
Aug 2016 - $20.00
We stayed for 2 months while visiting children. Our rate paid was based on monthly rate. Park very well kept by friendly staff. Park gets filled on weekends but no loud parties. Has small swimming pool, also well kept. Only about 2 miles from town with several options for groceries. Within an hour drive of either Minneapolis or St Paul. Park also has canoes or kayaks for rent and inner tubes for floating on beautiful Rum River. - bingberg
May 2015 - $30.00
Big rig access is doable but it's tight. The road into the park is very rough with many low over hanging trees. There are only a few pull thru sites that can handle a rig over 40'. This park caters more to the weekenders from the city that come to camp in small rigs or tents and enjoy the river. The operators were very accommodating. There were some very low trees blocking our exit path that I brought to the maintenance crews attention. They were trimmed the next day. That also shows that this park does not receive a lot of big rig traffic. For us it was close enough to the city and our relatives for our visit. The few inconveniences are bearable and we would stay here again. - DoggieDaddy
Sep 2012 - $30.00
Very clean and well maintained. A lot of rules that are enforced. No access to trails or other activities. No pool. Won't stay here again. - MarkandLaura
Aug 2011 - $35.00
This is a very peaceful location. The owners are great. We were driving through Minnesota and needed a place for the night. They were very accommodating and the site was great. It is a campground with many retired campers and they really do not have kids at the campground. It was so relaxing and clean that we may make a trip back just to relax sometime. We really appreciated the hospitality - Cudpal
Jun 2008 - $35.00
RiversEdge RV Park is a quiet seasonal RV campground in Becker MN. With many large wooded lots located on the Elk River near St. Cloud and the Twin Cites. Me and my family enjoyed the peace and quiet very much. - RiversEdge
Jun 2017 - $30.00
Not bad for a quick getaway.....It did appear that many if not most people at the campgrounds were year round residents, some VERY sketchy looking sites. Overall, it suited our needs. - Matt Klein
Oct 2015 - $30.00
We found this place on our GPS and needed a place to stop for one night. The office is an old travel trailer outside, what was, the camp office. We found out that the owners couldn't get permits renewed for some unknown reason so the office and associated amenities was mothballed. It looks like this park was really nice at one time but not now. It is really run down with mostly permanent residents. Our site was right in front with 30 amp and no sewer. It was OK to plug in for the night but not much else. It looks like the 30 amp was protected by fuses, not breakers in the pedestal. We didn't look around much and if this park has restrooms and showers, they were probably disgusting. If you are looking for a safe place to hook for one night and plan to stay in your rig, this would be an OK park, otherwise for the price, there are better places to stay. We were told there was a dump station but we didn't need it. Our site was right in front of the office and the free WiFi was decent with one bar. - sprinter55
Jul 2010 - $32.00
Old, poorly maintained park. Roads are dirt as are the spaces. Many longterm residents and many motorcycles and 4 wheelers. Some grass but thin. Too much bird crap everywhere to enjoy being outside. Peafowl and guineas everywhere and they are really noisy especially when about 10 of them gather under you rig and start their screeching at 6 am. WiFi is non-existent. Manager said it was working in her mother-in-law's house but I stood under the antenna and had zero signal. This was true for the 2 days we were in the park. - PDDeen
Jun 2016 - $30.00
County fairground with RV hookups. $30 rate is for water and 50 amps. Not much to do here but your only a hour from the Twin Cities. We stayed here as part of a Habitat for Humanity build. - jprisbe
Aug 2018 - $35.00
Pull thru site on level concrete. Camped here for 7 days. Plenty big for our 39' fifth wheel and truck. Mixed in with permanent sites but not an issue. Park is well maintained and clean. Our site was about 100 yards from the Mississippi River. Nice deck on the water. Did not use bathrooms or showers. Wifi weak. Trash pick up at site. Monticello is a nice town. Everything you need close by. I would stay here again. Owner very friendly and guided us to our site. - Clockdoctor
Aug 2018 - $36.00
All hookups worked fine. The WiFi was weak. The site was flat and easy pull through. Our site was roomy. There is a mix of permanent, seasonal, and transient campers. The campground sits right next to the Mississippi River with a deck to sit on and contemplate the issues of our time. So what if the office is in back of the campground. Signs bring you right to it. So what if the office is in the owner's home. He can still conduct business just as well as in a separate building. We were here for 17 days. Not a day went by that there wasn't someone out and about working around the campground. It is very well kept and clean. There's even a dog area (but could use a more sturdy fence). We would definitely stay here again. - Melodycthomas
Jul 2017 - $35.00
Stayed for 4 days. found the office with no problem just followed the signs. It's hidden in the back of the trailer park. Owner was very friendly, visited with him for about 20 minutes before we went to my site. Lots of trees and shade. He gave the choice of 3 spots to park in the place was almost full. He took me there then helped guide me in. Will be going back again. - Imawolf
Sep 2016 - $21.00
We stayed in the overflow along a golf course with water and electric. It was very green everywhere, but a nearby railroad had many loud trains and train whistles, especially while we were attempting to sleep. This is an Airstream only park, though we saw a motorhome of a different brand also. it was a busy weekend and the overflow was on grass and quite level, so we were glad to find it. I don't know what they have with full hookups since most of it seems to be sites owned by Airstream owners. Overall it met our needs for the night except for the trains. - AirstreamGene
Jun 2018 - $42.00
I can't say enough nice things about the owners of this park. Our pickup just barely managed to run long enough to get our trailer parked before it died. The owners went above and beyond to help us, offering to give us a ride to pick up a rental car (even though the nearest place to get a rental was 45 miles away). They rearranged their reservations to accommodate us, letting us stay in our site for 3 days longer than planned. The park itself is mostly seasonal sites, but is very clean and tidy, quiet and friendly. An excellent experience.
The nightly sites are easy to get to and are all back-in. Interior road is gravel and sufficiently wide for maneuverability. The park is clean and tidy. Check-in was quick and easy, access to the park is through a key-pad gate so the area is secure. - Wendi53
May 2016 - $48.00
Checked in and was amazed at how beautiful this campground is. The owners are friendly and willing to please. We stayed the weekend that they were welcoming back the seasonal campers to the campground. We went to our site and it was real big. We had electric and water but no sewer. The area where we set up our camper was all grass and very nicely cared for. The campground has a lot of trees but they were not a problem to back the camper into the site. Quiet time is 11 pm and it was quiet before this time. That was great. The bathrooms were clean and there is a laundry on site if you need it. They have a pool that is big, clean and very nice. They also have a big chess and checker set, horseshoes, basketball and a playground for the kids. - spierce617
Sep 2011 - $37.00
Beautiful shady open campground with friendly hosts, excellent food, nice lodge with hot tub and swimming pool, and Ann Lake just a 2 minute walk away. - HRT Jr
