Sep 2019 - $42.00
We stayed 1 night to see family in the area. Better to call the park for directions into the park than to rely on Google Maps. Very easy access from the highway. Our site was adequate for our 40' motor home plus towed vehicle. Hard gravel level site. Very helpful friendly staff. Well manicured park. Good Verizon. - Biker2
Sep 2019 - $43.00
This is a perfect campground for singles and couples. Not meant for children so much. But was perfect for us. Office staff very friendly and helpful. Resort was clean and sites were level. It is within the city limits and close to anything you would want but in the resort, it feels like you are in the middle of the woods. Very quiet. It does cater to Mayo patients but you don't have to be a patient. If you just want a peaceful place but still close to Rochester, this is it. We loved it! - RV Sailor
Aug 2019 - $45.00
Our area was barebones because it was the transient area with a level but narrow site with WES and satellite possible. No table. On the way out we saw much nicer sites; some with patios and more room. Several people are patients for Mayo Clinic and here for awhile. EZ in and out. Good overnite spot near interstate. - Team Asphalt

The sites were not level; service was courteous but sullen. Very plain setting, nothing attractive. Quiet, spacious. - Sue S
Jun 2019 - $46.00
Pleasant woodsy park with lots of trees. Gravel roads are narrow and overhanging tree limbs are not easy to dodge. Lots of rain made for soggy grass areas around sites. This is a typical KOA park with amenities geared toward families. Access to the park is on a road that divides the office structure from the entrance to the park which makes the park managers nervous about visitors able to enter the park without checking in. Understandable given the soggy condition of the grassy areas vulnerable to being damaged by vehicles parking on the grass. Which may explain why they weren’t very friendly. Nevertheless we enjoyed staying and having easy access to visiting family in Rochester. - Roger H.
Jun 2019 - $46.00
Very quiet and clean park. Sites were rock but level. Lots of grass for kids and dogs, small dog park (was soggy from rains but there). Showers clean as well as park. Room between rigs. Owners were friendly and helpful, even loaning me some tools to make a few repairs while I was there. Have a very nice and quiet area behind the office for Mayo patients. Interior road might be a little hard for a huge rig pulling a trailer but nothing an experienced driver shouldn't be able to manage. - Texas Guy

This is an absolutely a gorgeous park. A lot of tree cover. My wife selected a site which required backing up between 3 close trees. Takes a while to back in. Fishing piers are very nice. We stayed here for 4 nights. - Cory S
Aug 2018 - $30.00
Nice, uncrowded park. All sites are back in sites. - Smokinghawk49
Jun 2017 - $31.00
See my previous review for additional details. We stayed two weeks during this visit and mostly really enjoyed it. While not a lot of dog friendly trails, there are a few (nicely marked) with bag and waste stations. The grass trail through the meadow and along the tree line is loaded with ticks, so avoid that one. Very peaceful and quiet during the week with a very friendly crew. The weekends however, are horrible. Crowded, screaming kids, noisy neighbors, and smoky fires made it less than pleasant. There is some noise from the highway and an occasional train, but it didn't bother us. We won't hesitate to stay here again during the week, but will be looking for alternatives for the weekend. A $5/day pass is required for visitors, but campers pay $5 for their entire stay. If this park had full hookups and they trimmed the trees along the road, it would easily rate an 8 or 9. - Jerry and Betsy

Very nice county park. Sites are level and large. Very quiet and the place is maintained to a T. The showers were hot and the cleanest I've seen in a park. There are hiking trails, an interactive nature park for kids and a free zoo. The campground host is a gem. The only negative was a lack of ATT service.
The campground is first come, first serve, so if you come during the week you are sure to get a spot. Locals start staking out spots on Thursday. - Happitude
May 2011 - $18.00
This place is like a dream. Beautiful park! Small but attractive campground, great little zoo with well cared for animals, a pretty river and lots of hiking. The newer restroom building is also the storm shelter, and very well-built indeed. For a county park this is good as it gets. Lots of antenna TV, fair Verizon reception. 8 miles to Rochester and the Mayo Clinic. We would definitely return if we had the chance. - rmlarson
Sep 2010 - $18.00
Exceptionally nice campground void of traffic and train noise. It's a beautiful setting with gorgeous Minnesota woods along the Zumbro River. There's oodles of lovely trails within the park as well as a nature center and a zoo. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Our five days there were very pleasant. We were there during the flood and the campground hosts made sure we were safe. It was recommended that we move to higher ground on our last night there. It is a memorable night with continual lightning and thunder. We would most definitely return to Oxbow Park! - pocabe

Very nice quiet park. Most sites were occupied but we still had some privacy in our site. Many families with children but not noisey. Restrooms and showers were clean and in good condition. Showers had hot water! There is no phone or internet in this park...nice way to get off the grid and enjoy nature. - N8MD

If you enjoy lush, wooded and private campsites, you'll enjoy this. We went for 3 days and took my mom in an RV. We hiked on some very nice trails and learned so much about the restoration of the natural habitat including grasses and wild flowers from the very nice and knowledgeable camp host. He was amazing and took us through the restored fields and pointed out all the beautiful flowers that were blooming and how they collect the seeds to sow. The park is very blessed to have this man as he is a volunteer and passionate about this beautiful park. He is willing and happy to teach. - Terry Hunsaid
Aug 2016 - $36.00
We had a wonderful time here. Could have been less rain and himidity, but that's the way it goes. The roads are great for bike riding and running. The trails to the river are a little overgrown and not disability supportive. The host was terrific!
The raccoons are quite used to people and all garbarge and food needs to be put away at night. - octothorp

It was a wonderful campground. Very small, but a great play to unwind and relax. We will be back definitely. The own was very friendly and helpful. - rbtbski
Jul 2018 - $35.00
We stayed here to visit the nearby Mystery Cave, which we highly recommend. This campground has more open space than the nearby State Park. The grounds are just beautiful. The pads could be a little wider and the layout is awkward to get in and out of. Lots of seasonal sites that are well maintained with many have bird feeders for the abundant, pretty birds. - Uthagan
Aug 2017 - $33.00
This was a womdeful stay, way off the beaten path. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The store was handy. We enjoyed visiting with our neighbors and took advantage of their farmhouse worship service. This was our first visit to Minnesota and we met some wonderful ambassadors. Great internet service. The campground is an a peaceful valley with a nearby stream. It was child, horse and dog friendly. - MEJ

Didn't have a reservation and was having trouble finding a place to stay, since we were coming up on a weekend. Finally found this park listed on RVParky.com (it's now listed on Good Sam). Called from a rest area on I-90 and was told they had a few spaces left. When we arrived, the guy who was trying to check us in had trouble finding our paperwork, but finally got it and gave us a space. Another guy led us to our site. It was a nice shady spot, so we ended up staying three nights. Very relaxing. Jellystone seems to me to be more suited to families with kids, since they have a lot of activities. The price reflects those features, but when you're tired from a long day driving, who cares? I'd rather pay $30 for a park with no pool, no kids' activities like bounce pillows and train rides. But it seems that those places don't exist anymore. So we pay the price, even though we don't use the family features. But it beats the heck out of sleeping beside the road. - gfs1943
Jul 2019 - $75.00
Park is dropping Jellystone after this season and moving to Adventure Bound name next year. Lots of TLC needed (mowing, weeds), but the new managers are clearing out the junkier parts of the campground which is needed. Lots for under 10 year old kids to do, but pay attention to the activity times, as they are likely starting late and end early. Overall a good effort is being made, there is a lot to offer, and a good time was had by my family. - flippet
Jul 2018 - $75.00
Lots of amenities however they skimped out on the campsites. Campers have to pull in opposite directions in order to get access to electricity, water & sewer. This means that camper awnings face each other, which means zero privacy. Expensive camping to be staring at the neighbors. - MDZD09

No complaints, mind you. But the "Resort" in the listing's name is a misnomer. Tilly's is a "park" in the strictest sense of the word - as in, almost all that is there is a place to park your camper. BUT it DOES have the essentials. Power, water, sewer. It also has a pay for use shower, two washing machines and one dryer. It is unattended and you pay on the honor system or the threat is they'll switch off your power and lock your power pole with your cord attached. That seems to inspire people to pay up. Campers are parked on sites of gravel mixed in with the sod. But it works. We stayed through an all day rain and neither our jacks or tires left an imprint. The access roads are mostly asphalt. There seems to be plenty of room to navigate within the park, however, entry is gained through the parking lot of the unassociated Tilly's Bar and Grill. Don't worry. Although it was a popular spot each night it never got loud or roudy. IF YOU USE THIS PARK - Basically it is first come, first served. Unless you have communicated with the management and they have told you to park in a certain lot. Don't stop at the bar. They are not part of the park. Proceed to enter the park and find a spot. If there aren't any chairs or traffic cones "saving" a site, go ahead and take it. Then go inside the park building, find the office, fill out the paperwork and stuff it and your cash payment in the envelope. Then slip the envelope under the office door. That's it. You are registered. From all the research we did July 2017 of RV parks near Rochester, MN it appears that Tilly's is fairly priced for the convenience of being the closest with full hook ups to all of the services available in Rochester. Would we stay there again? "You Betcha!" (It's a Minnesota phrase) That is if our purpose as with this trip was to be as close to Rochester services as possible. - HunkyDoryKS
Jun 2017 - $35.00
After staying in several of the Rochester area parks, we were pleasantly surprised with Tilly's. A new low daily rate of $35 (flat fee), with cheaper rates available for week and month long stays. Sites were mostly decently wide, especially in the back row furthest from the road, and especially if you get one of sites on a corner. They also no longer charge for shower use, although the showers could use a good cleaning. There is road noise from hwy 52, but not as bad as other rv parks in the area, and it does quiet down at night. Another plus for us is the park is on the north side of Rochester, so closer to the twin cities, but you are further from downtown Rochester and I don't believe there is a shuttle service. No fire rings (another plus for us), and very few picnic tables may bother some. The back in sites looked to have larger side yards than the pull through sites, but it varies by location. Big rig friendly, but that may change as the trees get larger. Very dog friendly with a large unfenced dog exercise area that we let our guys run on. For a full hookup park in the Rochester vicinity, we don't think you could do better and this will be our "go to" location when visiting the area. Good Verizon, at&t, and clear sky for satellite reception. - Jerry and Betsy
Jul 2016 - $45.00
Nice, shady rv park, but a bit overpriced for what you get. Full hook-ups for $45, but few amenities for a park in this cost range. No personnel on duty and pay showers! Pay showers for your $45 per night? Come on! Picnic tables are few, and never one for the lot you are in. No store or supplies. On the plus side: quiet and convenient to Rochester, MN. If you can find an employee, they are very friendly. We have been here many years in a row. - W Davidson

Name is incorrect! Should be "Hidden Jewel"! We've traveled far, found a lot of "sardine cans" that call themselves campgrounds but this one really IS a Campground! Beautiful, lush shady camping area; spit-spot clean & spacious campsites, great and verrry helpful hosts. Price is totally reasonable. We are going to hate to leave and move on. By the way-not to far from Mayo so if you are here for the Clinic, it's the Lovely, Tranquil place you likely need to come home to. Previous people mentioned road noise..they heard people rushing to places with pavement and concrete while we sit here and listen to the birds, creek and wind in the trees. AWESOME! - Jane Andrea C
May 2018 - $35.00
Really nice campground tucked away in a beautiful area near Rochester, MN. Great walking trails along the river, friendly campground owners. We camped here the first weekend they were open, so we had plenty of room to ourselves. The website lists sewer hookups as an option, but that is really only available to seasonal campsites, I wish they'd update that to more accurately reflect the weekend camping options. We used their bathrooms for showering, which were clean, but small. The bathroom stall doors were very low, be prepared to make eye-contact while sitting. My husband said the hot and cold water handles were backwards in the men's showers. Sites are big, shaded and lovely. Dog friendly. - Sam Bishop-Strand
Sep 2015 - $32.00
This was a very small campground. The bathrooms are clean, but old and need some repairs and updates. We were in the lower campground. We were camping with 2 other families, and the owners allowed us to park in a U-shape so we were all facing each other (in fact, it was their idea!). It wasn't busy, but it was after Labor Day and there wasn't a ton to do. (I've heard from friends that have a seasonal site there that they have a lot of fun activities for the kids during the summer.) They have the rec room, but it was occupied with a group all weekend. The kids had fun playing ping pong and the guys were able to watch football on the TV in the game room. There is a huge field behind the electric sites along the road for tent camping. It was completely empty and the kids had a blast playing football and kickball out there. The mosquitoes weren't bad, but the wasps/yellow jackets were fierce! I don't know how busy it is in the summer, but it was a nice relaxing time for us. The owners were very friendly. We will be back. - TT Mom
