Overall Rating:

Our first night was in the original part of the Park, site 63, was a nice long site for our 40 ft MH and tow, a bit cramped & unlevel. We moved to the David Dill Addition for the next 3 night ( what I rated on), its a 3 tiered/terrace, with lots of space and full hookups that are available on “ both sides of your site” which allows MH to pull in and have nice view out of your front window ( very nice!) , while allowing for backing as well - easy hookups whichever side you need. Great views of Lake Superior. We were on the first row by the Lake, while there is a road in between you and lake/beach area, it was quite nice and not much traffic. Would stay there again. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoyed the town of Two Harbors - tour lighthouse, watch the boats come in ~ 6PM, great brewery -> castle danger. Drove up the coast and stopped at the state parks - Gooseberry Falls, Tettegouche & Cascade River State Park. Tour at Split Rock Lighthouse was awesome!! Also Palliside Head is a cool stop. Had an early dinner at the Angry Trout in Grand Marais - great food!

We only stayed one night on our way up north. Beautiful campground will definitely stay here again. Quiet, clean and great views of the big lake. Nice area to walk the dogs and get them some exercise swimming in the lake. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a municipal park in a great location with beautiful views of Burlington Bay. I stayed in the new section across the street which is three levels all overlooking the bay. I was on the first level so had an unobstructed view of the lake. All sites in the new section have hook ups on both sides so trailers and 5th wheels can back in and class As can pull in for the best views. The back two rows would also provide a view of RVs. Many of the sites in the original section are also on the lake, but access to the lake wasn't as convenient. There is a nice beach across the street from the new section. Sites are large and utilities worked well. Good satellite and OTA signals. WiFi is very good. Water pressure seems very high. It's within walking distance of the town and the other bay. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Agate Bay and the many placards that provide information. It's within walking distance.. just follow the path across the street up the shoreline. There used to be quite a coal operation there and ore is still shipped out. Fascinating to see the remnants of a very busy industrial area from 100 years ago.

This is a very big park. Our spot (93) was level with an excellent view of Lake Superior. There was plenty of room between sites and the site was well maintained. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful lake front view! Plenty of sun and trees. The firepit leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the spots are pretty small and not very level but ours was a pull through so it worked great. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Right on Agate Bay in Two Harbors. Pull in or back in. Hookups on both sides. This would be a ten, in the new section, except signage is lacking. Your GPS will lead you to the new, tiered section but the office is back and across the road. If you know your site number, go there and then check in. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Burlington Bay Campground in Two Harbors, Minnesota (just north of Duluth) is a great base to explore the North Shore of Lake Superior. Sites to suit everybody's needs: 66 sites with water and electric hook-ups; 36 sites with water, electric and sewer hook-ups; and 34 sites with water, sewer and 50 amp electric hook-ups. In addition, there are 10 primitive tent sites. Site could have been more level, and recent rains meant we needed extra pads and frequent re-leveling. Pictures posted here are from Site 25B in the new full hookup 50 amp section. 43+tax/night-258+tax/week. Motorhomes can pull in facing Lake Superior, 5th Wheels with Picture windows in back Also have a view from this section. Other sites range from 34/night. Picnic table and fire ring at each site. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

The view of Lake Superior is gorgeous. We stayed in the tiered area which had plenty of room. The WiFi was marginal, nothing unusual here. Verizon was pretty good. No cable. We didn't try OTA. Our spot was level. There is a great walking path through the woods right across the street. We saw a mother deer and her two fawns while we were walking one night. Very relaxing atmosphere. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure and visit Great Lakes Candy. Some of the best homemade chocolate delights! Their caramel is very good and I don't even like caramel usually. The Vanilla Bean restaurant had very good food. Blackwoods had a fantastic wild rice patty melt. Yum.

We stayed in one of the newer tiered campsites in the upper tier. We had a picnic table and fire ring on our site which were in the front of the site so that you have an unobstructed view of the lake. We also had a beautiful view of the water from our front window. The deer come into the park in the evening. We used our satellite for TV and the wifi signal was strong but very slow. Verizon worked well. The showers in the new bathhouse must do not have curtained dressing areas so if you use them be prepared for your towel/clothes to get wet. There's a beach area across the road and a very nice paved walking path next to Lake Superior. It's a little pricey but we would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Two downside issues ,road noise, and it rained the whole time we were there and there wasn't enough gravel to keep it from being muddy. But to be fair they had record rainfall. We were in the new area on the top side which seemed to be the best area . There was much more room at these sites . The view of Lake Superior would have been wonderful if it wouldn't have been fogged over our whole visit. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our site was a little awkward -- the sewer hookup was pretty far to the front of the site, thankfully our hose is pretty long. The water hookup was on the wrong side of the site, so we had to buy an additional hose and pull it under the trailer to reach without creating a trip hazard. Lake view from the road, not the site. Lots of highway noise. The site was well shaded and spacious, just not well laid-out. Additionally, there was a tree in the gravel area that prevented us from backing into the site a little further. The fire ring and picnic table were in the back of the site. Everything was on a slope, slanting downhill. There is a public beach area and lovely walking trails about half a mile away. Beautiful views of Lake Superior. The newer section had amazing views of the lake, but no trees for shade. We camped at Burlington Bay Campground in a Travel Trailer.

There is a new section of the park. Great sites. Tiered so that all have a view of the bay. New restrooms/showers were great. Spacious sites. We were there in a motorhome. Our spot was a pull in so that we faced the bay with a view. Well set up. Plenty of room. Reservations during the summer are a must, call early.
