The pictures are very deceptive. We reserved a spot for one night while traveling. When you pull in, there is a lovely lake and playground and some cute cottages. Driving to our spot we started seeing a lot of older and unkept campers. It was obvious most of these people live here full time. Not judging because people are down on their luck but what went on right next door was totally disturbing. Not sure how many people were living there but a big fight broke out about bedtime. Yelling, slamming doors, threatening to kill each other. I called the campground security, and you guessed it, I got voicemail! Long story short we had to call 911. The sheriffs had to come out twice and finally arrested them all. If I could give this place a minus rating I would. Worst experience ever and I don't understand how they can be associated with Passport America. DO NOT STAY HERE. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This CG is in a beautiful spot, on a lake with a beach, pool, sauna, playground, all paved roads and mostly paved sites. However, the park itself is an absolute dump. There are too many people who live here and have junk and trash all around their spaces. Around the outside of the CG are junk trailers, with trash all around them, a row of junk cars and there are even some abandon cars sitting in empty spaces in the park. It's obvious, nobody from management ever gets out and looks at this park. Some of the people that lived in this CG have put so much stuff on their space, it went over into the neighbor's area. They've added porches, awnings, and dog pens, and have stored old cars, refrigerators, freezers, lawn chairs, grills, towing equipment, hoses, toys, bikes, and piles of other things just stacked up. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Front of park was very nice. Awesome playground, beautiful lake and pool. Cabins were adorable from the outside. Problem is that there are too many people that live here and the rest of the park is very junky. We had a view of lots of rubbish and several permanent campers that are falling apart. Restrooms were not as clean as I would like, the hand dryer was broken & no paper towels were available. One of the toilets was also broken. Pool was very nice but very cloudy. Would only stay again if the messy campers were cleaned up & the restrooms were in better order. They could have a 5 star resort if they cleaned it up, got rid of the run down campers and added another bath house. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:
The RV park has many who have lived there for quite awhile; their places could use some cleaning up (and that's being kind...they are dumps). However, there is one row that is kept primarily for the travelers. There is one pull-thru and multiple back-ins on that row. These sites are fairly large. All are level cement pads, which we were grateful to have as we were there during a horrendous rainstorm. FHU-50 amp. Many are 30-amp; ours was 50. Horrible wifi (but we were told it was being worked on). Quiet. Internal roads were OK but not large. Doubt if would stay here again due to the number of trashy sites. This is too bad, because the RV park has potential if it would be cleaned up. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Place is for permanents. They let others stay when members are away. Ingress and egress is way too tight, You can do it, but why? Fair wifi, cable available with boxes only. We saw no pull thru's only back in. Nice concrete pads. Right off I-10 so might stay again if tired going through Biloxi. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

This is at least 90%, maybe 95% residential. Sites for residents are not kept up. Water between spaces make it difficult to go to fellow travelers sites if you are in a group. Lots of abandoned trash, old tires and run down buildings with broken down cars. Speed bumps throughout entry roads are excessive. The lake is open to public for $5 so a lot of different types of people here, a lot of shady people frequent here. Staff is friendly and has security on golf carts. Spaces are concrete but roads are too small. Two spaces across from us were empty so we had room to back in. If they were filled we would have had a very difficult time getting in. Definitely not a resort just because they have a pool and playground. We won't be back. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Site was a short, fully paved, level back-in. Due to recent storms the entire property was soggy/flooded (you can't really blame this on management). One wheel of the truck dropped off the pavement while backing in and I had to go to 4-wheel drive to pull it out. Site was a little short for my 35' fiver and long-bed crew cab but no one objected to a little obstruction of the street. Many long term campers and LOTS of children who do not watch for traffic. We will stay here again if it is along our route to somewhere else, but it is not a destination campground. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

When you pull in, there are very nice cabins, a putt-putt, pool, hot tub, a nice playground and lake. The office lady was VERY nice and then you pull out to enter the campground. When you make the turn into the actual campground you see cluttered, old campers with junk all around them. It looked like 90% are long term residents and the spaces are paved but close. We were sent to the back section across from an old camper graveyard slophole and 2 dumpsters, what a lovely view! This could be a very nice campground if the permanent rift-raft were made to clean up and remove the freezers and junk from outside their campers. Will never stay here again and do NOT recommend it.
Lot spacing was very close with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was a concrete pad. We
camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Passport rate. I called ahead and got the pull thru site. Sites are close together but okay for a night or two. Convenient to I-10 so there is a bit of interstate noise. Pull thru site view is of the storage lot with old, damaged units and close to dumpster. But it works for a quick stopover when traveling. We would stay here again. A large percentage of the park looks to be long-term / permanent residents and most of them are totally trashed out. Quite a few young folks 20's w/no shirts showing off their tattoos and underwear. Roads are very narrow but navigable (36' 5th Wheel w/ 1 ton long bed dually). They have one pull through site 50 amp E/W/S so I didn't have to disconnect, the rest are all back-ins. Dumpster was emptied while I was there but none of the overflow trash was picked up by the trash truck or by staff, it was still there when I left the next day. They advertise cable TV but not all sites have it, mine didn't and my neighbors said that the only ones with cable are up front. Also, they advertise WiFi, but, it is so weak you can't get a connection. My computer could see it but couldn't access it and I have a long range signal booster that works great at most parks. The place is just a little too dumpy for me, I'll not go back. Also, at the passport rate of $22, who in their right mind would pay $44 to stay there? I don't like giving negative reports but from one RVer to another, you need to be aware. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 7 nights all during record breaking rainfall and darn if our parked area was the low spot. This parks seems to have several permanent residences. All spots are concrete pads long enough for motorhome and vehicle with a side pad with picnic table. They have FHUs, 30 & 50 amp connections. They maintain their pool and spa. They also have a fairly good size pond (Martin Lake). I was very impressed with the speed of their wifi!! It was just to bad we were in a huge puddle most of the time. The campground was crowded and very tight. We arrived right after a rain and the sight was very wet. The bathrooms were in need of repair, rust was visible everywhere. The ducks were everywhere and had pooped all over our picnic table. We stayed in a travel trailer for 3 nights and won't be returning. We camped at Martin Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Clean park other than the duck poop everywhere. Nice clean pool. Rules are strictly enforced. Lots of full timers with no manners. Other than that nice park even though it is further away from the stores than I wanted to be. It is an OK place to pass through but for full timers, no. I wouldn't recommend it . As previous reviewers said, this park has lots of long-term residents. We didn't feel especially safe there and were glad it was only for one night. In addition to lots of clutter around many of the RVs, there was duck poop everywhere. Roads are narrow, all sites back-ins. Our rate was through RPI. The Wifi worked well. We won't stay here again.
