We stayed there overnight on our way to the Gulf Coast. It was ok for an overnight stay, but not for any longer. Didn't really see the staff. The roads are tight and the sites are small, too small to unhook and have room for the truck. It is a older park and very much showing its age. The asphalt is broken and unven. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Was unhappy to find that this park is 80% mobile homes and several permanent RVs. When checking in, man did not seem to have any information and kept referring to his wife as knowing everything. Thought that he was just temping for her but found out that he is in the office every day. When checking in we were given no rules but later contacted about violating one. Wanted to check in later but was informed by another that he would not park in the dark siting the mud problem. Upon arriving, it was obvious that there was not mud problem and the pull through sites were open and without obstructions. Apparently he was not willing to accommodate late arrival even though it appears their mobile home is the one right across from the office. When asking about what site we were assigned, I had to ask 4 times and then only got mumbled response until he looked out and stated " I guess #XX is a good one. There was no dog run available but we were told we could let our dogs run within this fenced enclosure. It was only later that a resident informed us that it was not good for the dogs because that area had been a leach field that was damaged by the last hurricane and so was just filled in with about 6 inches of dirt. There is no telling what chemicals are rising to the surface to get on paws now. For health reasons, I feel we should have been notified of this. There is no longer any cable, water pressure is average (recommend a strong filtering system) and power is fine. Very near I-10 so traffic noise is constant as well as from the busy road leading into the park. Sites are wide enough for big rigs and internal road is gravel and well maintained. Sites are gravel but not graded regularly so there is some uneven spots although the sites are acceptably level throughout the park. There is no where for children to play, pool to swim or rec room. The price for this area is a bit high in my opinion but can not say it is bad. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

As full-time RVers, we have crisscrossed our beautiful nation for years. This is the first experience where we have been asked to leave, due to who we are. We are an older, a quiet gay couple.

The park is located in a dirty part of town. It is mostly gravel and dirt, and on this day wet and muddy. No amenities, and probably why the park was mostly empty. After paying the unfriendly manager for a month, we parked our RV and car exactly as he requested. An hour later, the wife of the manager called and booted us out of the park for parking in 2 spaces. Below I will include pictures of others using multiple spaces, as well as the virtually empty park. We believe that we know why we were asked to leave. There are nicer and more friendly parks in the Biloxi area. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not a destination but clean quiet and close to the highway, the sites are level, water and power are good. Laundry and bathrooms are clean, this is a really good stop for a couple of days to chill do laundry etc. The Office people were very nice and helpful lead us to our site and guided us in. Camping world is a 1/4 mile away for parts or any other RV supplies you may need. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not a big fan of Buloxi, it was nice enough lots of food options, casinos etc. Warned by locals to not swim at the beaches which is what we wanted to do. There is a cool Model Train Museum which is worth seeing.

Overall Rating:

Great overnight spot very close to I10. About 1/2 mile from the exit - easy to find just read the signs and look at the website - it is the second park on the right. Easy on and off. Not a resort but helpful staff, easy access to my site even with a 45 foot and tow, and easy out. You do hear some highway noise but not bad at all. I would not hesitate at staying here again. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 nights in early March. It was cool and rainy. We stayed here primarily because we thought it would be easily accessible from I-10. First the good. The campground owner was very accommodating. We did not arrive until after dark due to tire issues. We spoke to the owners several times during the day/evening. They told us our site number and came to the RV the next morning to register us. The rest is bad. Although the exit off I-10 is easy, you wind up going down a dark narrow dead end road with very little indication of where the park may be. After finally locating the park, my wife had to walk along with a flashlight to find our site. We had a pull-through site that was several inches off level. We were never able to get level. All sites are gravel. Apparently our site was a designated smoking area as well, because the next morning we found hundreds of cigarette butts on our site. Also the park was muddy due to the rain. There were numerous puddles of water on our site and throughout the park. There seemed to be a lot of long term residents. There was lots of clutter around the sites. If in this area again, we would look elsewhere for a place to stay. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has many pull through full hookup sites. Also a good number of sites are taken by workers in the area for long periods of time. Restrooms and showers were very good and clean. Owners were very helpful and accessible. This is not a destination campground, great for a night or two for exploring the area. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

No shopping close by, but can be found at nearby exits off Interstate 10, casinos are within 5 miles as is the Gulf. Had lunch at the Blue Crab House in Biloxie on the beach, excellent seafood at reasonable prices.

Nice, quiet, small, clean CG. The owners are super nice and helpful. Pull-through site was gravel and level. Lots of cable channels, and Wi-Fi worked well. Easy on/off I-10. Rate reflects GS discount. Would stay here again. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

WiFi is free, the park is your typical parking lot type campground but is very nice and quiet. The park is better suited for folks passing by for the night. They have the cheapest weekly ($162.50) and monthly ($400) rates I could find in Biloxi. I will stay here again but if I want to be close to the beach I will choose another park. The only nitpick I have is in the bathrooms (great overall) the men's toilet is to close to the wall and you can't sit straight on it. Plus the toilet paper dispenser is to low, if they move it up it would be better. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet and in a country setting but close to everything. Clean restrooms and laundry. All sites have 30/50 amps. AT&T will come by to hook up a phone line and/or modem connection. The managers are well informed about the area. Close to interstate, but quiet and peaceful. May be booked up during Cruising the Coast. Lots of hummingbirds during the summer. Rate is with a Good Sam discount. Close to I-10. With 3 parks on Oaklawn Road, watch for their sign. Pull-throughs are real level but a little short. The friendly owner got me in though, but had to park the truck a tad cattywompus so as to not be nosed in the road and to remain hooked up. Utilities placed well in site and worked properly. Park cable picture on all channels very good. Would stop here again when in the area. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean and level sites. Full hookups easy to use. Cable great. Very nice owners and very helpful. Easy on/off I 10... Road noise not a problem for us. Good internet, good satellite location. Sites gravel and grass in between...looks like continued improvements going on. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Owners are very friendly and helpful. Sites are gravel, fairly level and kind of close together but you can put your awning out with no problems. WiFi and cable TV work well. The restrooms/showers are clean and odor free. Laundry has two washers and dryers which are new and clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Oaklawn RV Park in a Motorhome.
