We did not stay at this park due to the condition of it. We drove through the park as we were staying near by. Wanted to see what the park was like. If you have a fifth wheel or a motorhome the park would be difficult to manage due to the low overhanging limbs and narrow access roads. The park is overgrown, and you will almost certainly sustain roof damage due to the tree limbs. Travel trailers and tent campers would most likely do fine. Big rigs beware. - Buddman

Not what I expected from state park. Fish-camp atmosphere. Noisy neighbors. The Ranger/CG Host presence was minimal. Sites appear not well maintained. - woundtight

This is a state park that sits next to the spillway below the Grenada Lake Dam. It is an old park with lots of shade. Sites are close together. Pads are gravel. There are long runs to get to power/water. It is a "low" campground so when it rains many of the sites become flooded. With the close sites it is a very noisy campground. Lots of kids creating noise also. It is very secure, ranger and local police patrols frequently. This was our 1st time camping there and we are not into being that close with all the noise. Will probably not go there again. - dmoore1108

We stayed overnight the first time and six nights the second. Sites are level. Water/Electric included. Dump station onsite. Treed and non-treed sites available. Great views of lake and pond. Several trails including fitness trail. Fishing and boating allowed. Sites have picnic table, grill, and fire pit. - RV2017

This is a great COE park, mostly walkup but you can reserve with Reserve America, that is the Crazy part I hate. level concrete pads thru out the park with paved roads. right on Grenald Lake. there is nothing to do here except watch the Lake and or fish. - Danny285

Another fantastic COE campground. We always look for these and are seldom disappointed. They do have 12-15 full hookup sites but we chose a spacious waterfront pull thru with 50 Amp and water. Voltage and water pressure were good. The pad was paved and the area in front was gravel. There was a table, grille, lantern post and fire ring provided. Huge front yard down to the water. - sammy32

The campground is easy access from I-55 with gravel roads throughout and sites that are either gravel or grass. The CG appears quite old with old-fashioned light poles and buildings. The grounds are rather pretty although they had not been mowed for some time when we were there. We drive a 45 foot MH with a tow and were able to get into, through, and out of the campground with the toad attached and without difficulty. Our site was gravel and long enough to accommodate our coach. It was fairly level although most sites in the park have a front to back slope. The utilities are dated and placed mid site. Electric worked well, they required a brass fitting on the water due to the high pressure, and sewer was toward the back. We were able to receive a good satellite signal, there is no OTA reception. We did not try the Wi-Fi as the receptionist at the office told us it would not work. We did not use the laundry or rest rooms so cannot comment on that. There is no designated dog park although the campground is quite large and lots of grassy areas for walking a dog. There were no obvious areas designed as children play area. The receptionist in the office was very nice both on the phone and in person. We were also escorted to our site. This park is clearly not a destination spot but there are not a lot of options in this area of Mississippi and this park is OK for getting off the road for the night. Although it is right next to the highway, there is a tree barrier that is quite effective in keeping the noise level down. - LvR

Travelled from Florida north and were looking for an overnight stop. Frog Hollow fit the bill. It is approximately 1/4 mile off Hwy 49. Checkin was easy with Good Sam discount and the owner very friendly. We were guided to our spot which was long enough for our 43 ft motorhome and towed vehicle. The interior roads are crushed rock and navigable by big rigs without difficulties. The site was somewhat level with a small concrete pad on passenger side. Water pressure is high and owner warned us pressure regulator was necessary on tap side to avoid damage to our water line. Utilities worked fine. WiFi poor. No cable but over air TV was fine. We did not explore the area and only stayed one night. Although the park is pretty basic we wouldn't hesitate to utilize it in the future for a stop over. - Darrell M
