This is a really beautiful park, located on a small lake. Our campsite was on the lake, with a view of the sunset. However, there are no hiking paths nor any bicycle paths. There is a small beach which is not terribly appealing. There was a volleyball net up and a horseshoe game set up. There is some fishing, but very few fish. The showers and washing machine area were terribly old and very unappealing. We enjoyed our campsite, but actually left early because there was so little of the activities we enjoy, like hiking. The nearby town was run down and unappealing. - Atnt Life Grand

This is one of the most beautiful parks we have ever come across. It was mid week in Oct, but we were one of the only campers there. Very clean! There are a few pull through sites, but we chose to back in, over the lake. So pretty to wake up and have coffee in the morning looking at the lake.
Peaceful, quiet...amazing! The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that I had little to no Verizon phone service there and thus no internet (over my HotSpot). I work from the road, so that was a problem. I would go back though, for a few days. - GranNan06

Well kept secret for such a neat park. Most of the sites overlook a well stocked 100 acre lake. Fishing is good and there is a swimming beach. The campground is quiet with only the sounds of nature to entertain you. There is a well kept municipal golf course, picnic area, Frisbee golf and athletic fields as part of this municipal complex. I hesitate to tell the world about this park since if the word gets out, we won't be able to get a reservation. - Roodriver

I stayed here while hunting in Greene County. Joey Hinton the manager is always great about checking on us. We were the only camper in the park. I will be back in the spring to stay and do some fishing. Not full hook ups (water and electric) but does have a dump station in the back of the park. - Mitch Dorr

Beautiful state park and lake. Sites have about 30ft concrete pads and are about 22 feet wide. All shaded and back in. Some sites are along the lake. No reservations: first come first served. Water and 30amp. Neat and clean with friendly rangers. We were the only campers, so no problem finding a spot for our 40ft coach, however, not sure you could do this in high season. - TravelingBaggs

Very relaxing stay here. Right on the river, walking trail thru woods. We will revisit this camp next year! There is some road noise from highway, no one can control that! - Cat Woods
