May 2019 - $20.00
The campground is quiet and peaceful. Most sites have plenty of shade. Sites 13 through 22 have at least a partial view of the beautiful lake. Plenty of room on the sites and between sites. The park offers several activities including fishing, kayaking, hiking (Lakeview trail runs completely around the 250 acre lake), swimming (designated area with beach) and bike riding. The park staff was friendly and helpful. Other campers were friendly as well. - Sojourner9
Feb 2012 - $10.00
Nice park in a natural sitting but could use some TLC. The sites were mostly level side to side but some had a considerable slope. Our 50amp plug was not working properly so had to switch to the 30amp but not a big issue. The roads and sites are all paved and it was easy to navigate with a big rig. The sites are very wide with cement picnic table and fire ring. Lots of trees so satellite may be difficult at some sites. There were a couple of long term units at the entrance to the loop that did not give a good first impression of the park. Water pressure was very high, make sure you use a regulator. - wingerphil
Nov 2011 - $10.00
This is an absolutely beautiful state park with immaculately maintained facilities. In our minds, the only thing that keeps this from rating as a perfect 10 was the lack of a fire ring at our site. The PA price of $10 is unbelievably low for such a nice place. The CG is extremely quiet with lots of wildlife. A large beach and playground would be wonderful for the kids in warm weather. The night lighting was similar to what you would expect in a neighborhood. Although this makes for a safer park, it detracts a bit from the camping experience. There is only one pull-through site, but all the sites are very roomy. We'll definitely return to the CG when in the vicinity again! - Full-Time Roamers
May 2019 - $13.00
Very quiet and remote. Our site was on the water. No phone service but we did manage to get satellite reception through the trees after several moves of the dish. - RJ56
Mar 2019 - $20.00
There are several sites with a good view of the beautiful lake. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and to enjoy some peace and quiet this is the place. Very quiet. There is a trail that runs around the lake that is approximately 1.5 miles long. There are miles of dirt/gravel county roads that are right outside of the campground that are great for bike riding with virtually no traffic. No phone service or TV channels but that was a good thing. The only negative was the bathrooms were not as clean as they should be. - Sojourner9
Jul 2017 - $13.00
This is a pristine and typically very quiet National Forest campground. Beautiful fishing lake, sand beach, off the beaten path but paved roads to the c/g. All sites are paved with gravel on adjacent area for table, fire ring and grills. Has 30 & 50 amp service plus water. No sewer but has dump. 6-8 of the sites were long enough for our 35' m/h. The rest are fine for shorter units. Bring everything you need with you! The nearest store ( 12-25 miles away. - 2Pauls
Apr 2013 - $13.00
The campground has eight RV sites, of which only sites 1 - 4 would accommodate a 40’ rig. It would take some doing with maneuvering and leveling blocks. Sites 1 – 4 have decks overlooking the lake and its beautiful surroundings. The park manager and staff were exceeding welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The wood for a campfire ring is provided free of charge. AT&T cell service was good. On some sites, the water faucet is located several feet down an embankment. Be sure to watch your hitch at entrance upslope. Daily rate reflects senior discount of $5/day. - DD Rolling Ranch
Apr 2012 - $18.00
This is an older State Park. It is on a beautiful small lake with 8 pull through sites. Sites 1-4 have 12X12 decks built out over the hillside, overlooking the lake. The restrooms and showers were dated, but clean. The onsite Ranger was the friendliest I have ever met. Dropped by a couple of times a day asking if everything was ok, and if he could help with anything. Nor really close to anything. Actually closer to the town of Sebastipol so I'm going to list it there, also. If looking for a place to get away and do nothing but maybe fish or hike, this is the place. - gywrwjt
Aug 2019 - $20.00
This campground is an amazing gem. All the roads are nice blacktop. The sites are well spaced. There is one spot where getting our 40ft bumperpull around the curve was quite a challenge.
The camphost here was great and very helpful - john Bondi
Dec 2018 - $13.00
Absolutely loved this campground. Out campsite was gorgeous. The place was empty so we were the only ones there. The lake was beautiful! The individual campsites are a bit close and they roads are narrow making backing in a bit of challenge on some sites. We stayed in the Loblolly section. The sheer number and types and kinds of birds was incredible from an osprey eating a fish in a tree in our campsite and herons to chickadees, wrens to duck and grebes. - Judy Birchland
Aug 2018 - $20.00
This is a nice, basic campground. We had some problems with a hole a positioning in campsite but, with some work, managed a great position. We were right on the lake. There were playgrounds around. Many people used the roads for running and biking. The hosts were wonderful. Bathhouse is lacking but the chemical toilet near us was clean. - Michaeljess
