Our reservation was made in Jan 2019 with acknowledgement made that we needed a premier site because of the size of our fifth wheel. When we arrived we were placed in a smaller deluxe site with view of lake blocked with smaller RVs parked end to end parallel to lake front. The sites are not adequately travelled and therefore difficult to back into. I do not recommend this park for big rigs. This was not what I expected from a Yogi Jellystone Park. We will not return or recommend to our friends. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Last stayed at Yogi on the Lake in 2010 or so due to job transfer 400 miles away. The waterpark was updated last year and is super nice compared to what it was previously. Staff was friendly and grounds were clean. I did not use bathhouse, but my wife checked them out and said they were clean. I recommend the "Premium Sites" in the front of the park, concrete pads and much nicer than the ones further back (we stayed further back this trip). We camped July 4th weekend, so there was a 3 day minimum stay and no discounts were available. There were tons of activities for the kids over the weekend. Great place to take the family, had fun, wish we lived closer, we would visit more often. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We're 66 y/o retirees staying in a 30 ft. travel trailer for 3 nights during a wet, windy April. Our "prime" site on cement was pretty level and very clean; it's a real hilly area around a lake with tight turns; even the "nice" sites were pretty wet but again, they can't control the weather. There was only 1 other camper in our area with 17 available sites. We walked around the other end of the camp/lake with nice looking cabins and more RV sites. There were approx half dozen REAL old-looking campers back there with mold and such that made us think they'd been there for quite a while. There's a fun-looking splash pad + shallow pool with the shower "thingy" for kids. Even on a cool, wet April weekend, they had a number of kid activities going on and Cindy Bear toured the campground to say hello and pose for pictures. So aside from the tight/narrow roads and soggy areas, it looks like a very nice place later in summer. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Eat at "Crawbillys" in Pelahatchie! The outside looks horrible, but it's a local favorite with EXCELLENT southern food.

TheRv gravel pads were extremely un-level, even after waiting 2 hours, watching them add 7 tractor buckets of gravel the pad was still un-level and they finally let us move our spot. When we booked our trip we were told there was a water fee, which wasn't charged until after Memorial Day because the pool, splash pad, and slide were not operational. We arrived the Wednesday after Memorial day and was told the pool was good and the slide would be up and running in a day or two, the slide was not even on premises! When it arrived, the workers said it normally takes at least a week or two to install. We swam in the pool one day, but the filter was not working, so the water was disgusting, I couldn't even see my feet, and the bottom of the pool was covered in sand. We were there for 5 days, and were informed the "water fee" isn't a water fee, it's a park fee, $6 per person per day for nothing! Therefore we spent $150 on nothing. Also, we didn't remove our sway bars from our truck because it was raining and the first night they were stolen off our truck. I would not go back to this park. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Appears to be a relatively new campground with many new sites and cabins being added. Rained most of the time we were there so cannot adequately assess amenities. Appears to be lots of attractions for the younger set. Appears to be good areas for walking. Restrooms and showers clean and well-stocked. Roads in good condition although sites were very soft due to the rain. Probably would not return as it is very youth-oriented. Mixed feelings on this campground. Pros: good price (we paid $26 with a Good Sam discount for a 50 amp full hook-up site). Lots for the kids to do: playground, putt-putt, large swim/splash area. No road noise, but only a few minutes off the interstate. Gas station with diesel/truck bays at the same exit. Most of the staff was friendly. Cons: interior roads are really rough in areas (very bumpy), sites are not level, common area could be a little cleaner, and the swim area is looking very worn down. Grass/weeds around sites really needed to be cut. Biggest frustration for us, we made a same day reservation with plans to arrive late (10p-11p). We requested a pull-through site and were told that only a back-in was available. Now, keep in mind it's dark, some of the roads are really rough and the sites are not level...it took us quite a while to get into our site (all while our diesel truck was probably waking up some neighbors). We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Cable TV kept getting too snowy to watch. Maintenance guys came and worked on it, and finally decided that my quick-disconnect was the problem. It did get somewhat better. I think that's only because there were moving cables around. I am currently at another campground, using quick-disconnects at both end, and seeing a perfect picture on all channels. WI-FI was non-existent where we were camped. While we had a wonderful view of the lake, there was not a trace of WI-FI coverage. They said they had WI-FI in the vicinity of the office, we were FAR from the office. Our site was gravel but pretty close to level. Lots of shade trees and fire rings if you wanted a campfire. Office staff was very pleasant and helpful. The campground is pretty far from civilization, but it's a very pleasant place to stay. There seem to be a lot of things for kids to do, but we're two older adults so that's not a consideration for us. Good Sam rate was very reasonable. We have stayed here twice, and would do so again if we were in the area. PS: Diesel fuel and DEF are available a few miles down the road. Easy in and out for bigger rigs like ours (54' with Jeep towed). We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Motorhome.

We stayed 2 nights in a premium site which was paved. The premium sites are located on a hill and are a bit challenging to get into. However after seeing the "regular" sites, we were glad to have what we reserved. The cost per night is high. I was quoted $46 but at check in an additional $12 per day for 2 adults was tacked on. There is no WiFi at all, even in the office. For $58 per night I would expect more. Kids will love this place as they have a water park and pool. The regular sites are located in the woods and are dirt sites. A lot of wash outs and ruts. Not near the pool or bath rooms. Kind of a spooky area. They have no WiFi, but do have everything else. Rates vary considerably based on time of year and the type of campsite. Our rate was on off-season rate and an off-the-lake campsite. We had a pull-through with full hook ups so we didn't have to unhook the toad. They have pine, oak, many other trees. They have gravel driveways and gravel pads, and mowed grass around the pads. They have picnic tables, BBQ grills and fire rings. They have screw in sewer connections. Water pressure was good. Water was soft. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. There is good cable TV with 49 channels. Verizon Wireless was 2 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 4 out of 5 bars, 4G. Many FM radio stations and no AM radio stations. There is one trash dumpster on the main road leaving towards the office. There is no trash pick up; you walk it up yourself. We only stayed here as a planned overnight respite from our drive up the Natchez Trace Parkway so we did not get a chance to use all of the facilities that the park offers. We really appreciated the staff (or manager) person that helped to resolve the mix up with our reservation and our request for a pull through site. She gave us a choice of pull through sites and told us to pick which ever worked best for us. We pick a site and it worked well so we did not have to unhook our toad. This is a large family destination campground with plenty of activities for any size family to enjoy. The pool and the water park are an extra charge but they are a welcome relief on a hot day. The restrooms and showers are clean and well stocked but a park this size needs more restrooms, especially with so many young kids. The cable TV worked well but there was no WIFI at our site. I would highly recommend this RV park to anyone passing through or planning to stay in the Pelahatchie area. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Natchez Trace Parkway is a picturesque drive with lots of history to enjoy. Plan at least 3 days to cover the 444 miles of the parkway if you want to stop and enjoy the history and the beautiful scenery along the way. Most of the pull offs are RV accessible but it is best to check at any of the visitors centers to be sure.

We stayed in a 42 ft motorhome on Friday-Sunday. 2 adults and 4 kids age 3-14. We stayed in the Premium area and it was great. The pad was concrete, level and long enough to park our Jeep in front. All the roads in the Premium area are paved and very smooth. The remainder of the campground had gravel sites that were very shady. When you stay there is a $6 per person charge for the splash pad and pool. It was GREAT and very worth the fee! Our younger kids enjoyed those areas and our teenager liked the basketball court, paddle boats and trails. The goofy golf and tennis courts were fun and all areas were very clean and well maintained. Any gear you need for those activities can be checked out on your honor. There were golf carts for rent. All restrooms and showers were clean and well stocked.

There were lots of friendly staff and Yogi bear makes regular rounds. There were short wagon rides in the mornings and outdoor movies at night. Very family friendly but quiet at night.

This park gets our 2 thumbs up and we will definitely be back!! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Very cooperative staff making the reservation and checking in. Easy on/off I-20; and remotely quiet. As requested, the site assigned was a pull through so we would not have to unhook our tow. As we pulled into the gravel site, it was obviously very sloped; in spite of extra effort and leveling boards, we were unsuccessful leveling. After inspecting other vacant sites which appeared less sloped, a call to the office approved our request of reassignment. Unfortunately it was too sloped as well. We just made it work. All sites were gravel and unlevel. We only stayed stayed one night and did not participate an any of the camp ground offerings. If you have children, the facility appears to have good facilities to many activities. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts Yogi on the Lake in a Motorhome.

Nice park for smaller kids. Had a pretty good splash pad type area with several water features. Some could have used some maintenance, but most were working properly. Suggest staying in premium spots to be close to the pool and splash pad area. Wifi also only in the premium and pool areas. Remainder of the spots are gravel with gravel roads. Some areas were pretty rough to drive through in the MH. Waterfront spots are right on the water. Overall good experience. Will return.
