39 RV Parks near Saucier, Mississippi
Mar 2019 - $20.00
Overall I had a good stay, but I'll outline both positive and negative so you know what to expect. The layout is a large circle with an open field in the middle, giving you a decent amount of privacy (rarely is there another camper across the road). It's a pretty location, set in the woods just to the side of 4-lane US highway 49. Google Maps will find the location easily, but otherwise it would be easy to miss the road from the highway. Use your navigation. Sites range from pretty small to decently large, and most are at least semi-wooded. There was running water and power at the site, a fire ring, and a picnic table. The campground looked pretty well maintained, though I did not see a ranger, maintenance person, nor campground host in three days. Bathrooms were 70s vintage with a single toilet and a single hot shower. Both were consistently clean. (Thanks, NFS). I expected there to be great demand for the single shower, but actually I never had to wait. The campground is actually pretty small, and it wasn't completely full, even on a gorgeous weekend around spring break. The one real downside to this campground is night time road noise. In the day, road noise wasn't an issue at all, but at night it becomes loud to quite loud. I didn't have any trouble sleeping, but if you're sensitive to road noise and want a wilderness feel, this won't be it. I didn't notice too many security issues. Most campers seemed to be passing through for a few nights, though I did see one who looked like they had taken up permanent residence. I was hoping to find things to do in Gulfport, but that was a bust. More than one local told me "Don't go in the water!" and one laughed at the thought that I'd come there for the weekend. They go east to Alabama and Florida for the beach, I was told. Overall this is a decent campground with solid basic services. I would stay again if the location was handy for me. - astro
Dec 2017 - $10.00
This was our third stay at Big Buloxi and not anywhere near or as pleasant. The area south of the campground has undergone a huge surge in development. There were many new businesses of all kinds right up to the turnoff for the campsite (which is on a very old rusty sign mostly hidden behind a bush). This visit there were on site campground hosts present keeping an eye on things. Last two trips we didn't see any hosts. There were a lot more campers this time with the place more than half full. The place didn't really 'feel' as nice as before. There were quite a few families who looked like they were just this side of homeless in real old wrecks of rigs with tarp tents and awnings and even though there is a 14 day maximum stay rule, their campsites looked like they had been set up a lot longer than that. We saw people washing their rigs, hanging their laundry, and just lounging about with a lot more noise and swearing and cigarette butt tossing going on. The campground hosts were patrolling frequently. There were some dogs running around loose as well. Maybe it was just a bad bunch of campers during this stay but we didn't feel secure or comfortable as we have in the past. Not sure if we will would stay again. - Judy Birchland
Sep 2017 - $17.00
Great stay, in January 2017. Minor issues with the bathroom/showers because the campground host had bailed out. However these were easily resolved by using our own TP when it ran out. Sites are excellent, it is clean. There is a nature trail to the river, and the National Forrest is also available. No cable, WiFi, Washers/Dryers, however. - Nehog
Nov 2012 - $13.00
We stayed here for a month while visiting family in Diberville, so the location was nice. This campground has the potential to be a really nice campground but it just isn't kept very tidy and the long term residents don't take much pride in their camp area. We stayed on a very level site right next to the shower/pool house and that was a big mistake. There is a lot of traffic in the shower house and laundry area, which was too loud for our liking on the weekends. The lake does have a nice walking area around it; however, the goose droppings around it did not make it very pleasant for the kids to play around. We will probably will not stay here again. - 7ramblingkids
Jun 2011 - $17.00
The park is somewhat out-of-the-way if you are traveling on I-10, but it is roomy with paved, level sites and a view of a good sized lake. It is easy in and out of. There are several permanent residents, but units are modern and well maintained. The price shown is the Passport America rate. - daddyrabbit
Feb 2011 - $17.00
Stayed here 2 nights on our way out west. No shade here but nice level concrete sites. Not too far from I-10. - AntiqFreq
Oct 2018 - $14.00
For some reason this Campground was last reviewed in July 2016 by someone who had a big problem. We stayed here for a full month (hence the low daily rate) and found the owner and his wife to be courteous, friendly AND helpful. This is a small RV Park, only 32 sites with about one third of them occupied by seasonals. Sites are fairly large, with gravel and are reasonably level as well with grass between - campground is regularly well maintained. The laundry is a bit small and also a bit more expensive than the average charges we've found elsewhere - but it was clean and the machines worked! Campground is about 10 miles from ALL stores, restaurants and banks, doctors etc. 12 miles further is the Gulfport beach, a mere 20 miles from Biloxi and New Orleans is less than 90 miles away. If you're a senior, the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi offers a magnificent ½ price Breakfast and Lunch buffet on Wednesdays. - Retired Wanderers
Jun 2016 - $1.00
The owner is an egotistical know it all who has no idea how to run a CG. When Checking in you get read a long list of rules and none enforced except driving in the correct direction. Quiet hours 10pm to 8am are a real joke. The owner was cutting grass at 7am and hit the hitch on the back of our class A with the riding mower. He did not stop and ignored it as no big deal because he had a doctors appointment, no serious damage was done but the hit was hard enough to knock stuff off the counter. We asked for a 50 amp site and was put next to a disaster,TV blasting all hours, yelling and slamming doors all night long, dog barks till they return. This is not the worst, red truck(does not move) is filled with garbage, stinks like rotting fish, along with garbage outside camper. If you look at the Facebook page , you see smiling happy people singing karaoke, it's true and some are really good, but they are not campers but his friends that come in for his Tuesday nite karaoke club. Most of the people here are here long term. He owns 4-5 old trailers he rents out. This is small campground with one road of traffic people doing business with a 2min stay??? Usually both bathrooms closed, but open on Tuesday during Karaoke. Pool usually green, maybe a day a week where it is clear, sites gravel back in, not much grass in between. This guy is a SLUMLORD! No Respect.
The only good thing about this place is the wifi. - Kesch
May 2015 - $25.00
We stayed several months. The park is very clean. The laundry room/restrooms are close to camp sights and very nice. We have 2 small children and my husband works away for periods of time, I felt really safe staying here. The owners make you feel welcome and at home. The pool is nice we all enjoyed it. They also have a fishing pond and ducks which we enjoyed feeding by the pond. Relaxing and fun, great family environment. Other campers here are friendly and nice as well and this park has affordable rates vs other parks on the coast. Overall we loved it. Had to leave due to my husband's job transfer, if ever back in the area this is definitely where we will stay. - samatha
Mar 2017 - $12.00
Great wifi. We were able to stream Netflix, Amazon and DirecTv. Good over the air service from local stations. Great place to spend the winter.
A hidden gem, more like a community. We have spent the last several winters here. Located on thirty acres so plenty of room to walk pets. - home is where the sunsets
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Great little campground. Camped here for past two winters. Quiet, dog friendly, shopping either at Biloxi or Wiggins, near casinos. Everyone friendly, great people to be around, campfire, blueberries in season. Will be back next year. - bonnie love
Jan 2019 - $15.00
We stayed here for a month at $450 (cash-only). This includes your first $100 of electricity and the woman I spoke to when making our reservation said they've never had anyone go over that (and we did not go over, either, despite relying on electric space heaters and an electric water heater). As others said, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful - couldn't be better. Overall the place is primarily a permanent mobile home park with wide residential streets and there are some *extremely* dilapidated & junky homes, but it was a quiet and uneventful stay for us and always felt perfectly safe. I-10 can be noisy some nights based on the wind direction. There is a block of spacious sites near the front for RVs, which is where we stayed. It's a short walk to the office & laundry (3 washers, 3 dryers @ $1.75 each). Unfortunately the one reason we can't stay here again is the park is in a Verizon congestion hole. Our Verizon data service would be blazing in the middle of the night, but in the morning would start to slow down and become a sporadically responsive, infuriating 0.2 Mbps crawl throughout the day and then gradually speed back up in the late evening hours. It was not a signal strength issue - just a network congestion issue. The park wifi was just as bad and even less reliable. We need internet for work and most days my wife had to set up camp in a nearby Barnes & Noble to get anything done. - Brad & Angela
Mar 2018 - $20.00
Very nice and well maintained combination mobile home/rv park. The manager goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Would positively stay here again. - Dfly19
Feb 2018 - $20.00
This place is excellent. Very clean, They honor our Military, Staff are exceptional and make you feel welcomed and at home. Pet friendly, well kept, working on improvements to make the community even better. Everything you need to call this place home. - Blueberryblonde
Jun 2018 - $25.00
Nice clean park run by very friendly people. Lots of grass to walk the dogs. Good eats and shopping real close as well as good fuel prices on the way in. Will definitely make this a waypoint for our travels. - Cornholeo
Jun 2018 - $25.00
Decent value for a full hookup pull thru just off of I-10. An older park, but all utilities were in good working order. Concrete slabs are level, but are heavily cracked. Overall not a bad stopping off point when traveling I-10. OTA TV was ok. - Bob and Inga
May 2018 - $25.00
Bare bones. There are very few trees and those are at spaces occupied by what appears to be permanent or seasonal renters. Gravel driveways in disrepair as are concrete pads although the concrete pads are mostly level. This is very close to the highway and is noisy. No picnic tables available. There is one vending machine at the "comfort station" which consists of two bathrooms with showers. - msaardvark
Mar 2019 - $37.00
We were going to spend the night at a truck stop and, as we pulled off the interstate, I saw an RV park sign. Called them and they had a spot. Nice lady met us at the entrance and pointed us to our spot and then checked us in. Specs say No Big Rigs but we fit our 40' and toad in a site. Funky RV park. Lots of old, beat up, miserable-looking trailers. We kept to ourselves, locked our doors, and headed out first thing in the morning. Oh, and site number 1 had a tree right where our exit door was so I had to tightrope out the door to reach the ground by hanging on to my outside handle. Awkward. Avoid site #1 as you cannot get out of your door because of a large tree in the way. - We2AreUs
Jun 2018 - $38.00
Stopped here for an overnight. The office personal were very nice. Site was nice for what we used it for an overnight. Would stay here again. - Waster
Nov 2013 - $30.00
Small park. Friendly staff. Picnic tables falling down but lots were not crowded. Close to I-10 so traffic noise. Clean restrooms/showers. - Sygarner
Feb 2019 - $30.00
Was unhappy to find that this park is 80% mobile homes and several permanent RVs. When checking in, man did not seem to have any information and kept referring to his wife as knowing everything. Thought that he was just temping for her but found out that he is in the office every day. When checking in we were given no rules but later contacted about violating one. Wanted to check in later but was informed by another that he would not park in the dark siting the mud problem. Upon arriving, it was obvious that there was not mud problem and the pull through sites were open and without obstructions. Apparently he was not willing to accommodate late arrival even though it appears their mobile home is the one right across from the office. When asking about what site we were assigned, I had to ask 4 times and then only got mumbled response until he looked out and stated " I guess #XX is a good one. There was no dog run available but we were told we could let our dogs run within this fenced enclosure. It was only later that a resident informed us that it was not good for the dogs because that area had been a leach field that was damaged by the last hurricane and so was just filled in with about 6 inches of dirt. There is no telling what chemicals are rising to the surface to get on paws now. For health reasons, I feel we should have been notified of this. There is no longer any cable, water pressure is average (recommend a strong filtering system) and power is fine. Very near I-10 so traffic noise is constant as well as from the busy road leading into the park. Sites are wide enough for big rigs and internal road is gravel and well maintained. Sites are gravel but not graded regularly so there is some uneven spots although the sites are acceptably level throughout the park. There is no where for children to play, pool to swim or rec room. The price for this area is a bit high in my opinion but can not say it is bad. - Peppercatt
Oct 2018 - $34.00
As full-time RVers, we have crisscrossed our beautiful nation for years. This is the first experience where we have been asked to leave, due to who we are. We are an older, a quiet gay couple.
The park is located in a dirty part of town. It is mostly gravel and dirt, and on this day wet and muddy. No amenities, and probably why the park was mostly empty. After paying the unfriendly manager for a month, we parked our RV and car exactly as he requested. An hour later, the wife of the manager called and booted us out of the park for parking in 2 spaces. Below I will include pictures of others using multiple spaces, as well as the virtually empty park. We believe that we know why we were asked to leave. There are nicer and more friendly parks in the Biloxi area. - flashysdad
Jul 2018 - $31.00
Not a destination but clean quiet and close to the highway, the sites are level, water and power are good. Laundry and bathrooms are clean, this is a really good stop for a couple of days to chill do laundry etc. The Office people were very nice and helpful lead us to our site and guided us in. Camping world is a 1/4 mile away for parts or any other RV supplies you may need. - Tfrout
Mar 2019 - $30.00
Best buy in Biloxi! Lovely, quiet, clean, well-managed RV park. The interior roads are narrow but the trees are well trimmed and folks are understanding. Offices ladies are sweet and helpful. The campground store has most things you need at fair prices. Utilities, including wifi, were excellent. Our concrete pad was a little off-level side-to-side, but we can handle that. If the tall trees block your satellite, there are dozens of channels on the park's cable. We will DEFINITELY stay there anytime we are in the area. In March, their azaleas are coming into bloom and they are spectacular. - Mom_of_Two
Mar 2019 - $30.00
This campground is more for 5th wheels and small campers. Not really designed for large class As. While the asphalt pull-throughs were long, they were super skinny and not level, and when it rains, it is a mud bowl (feared we might get stuck trying to get in and out). People in office were nice enough and fairly well stocked supplies (laundry detergent, etc.). Price was good, $30, and just off interstate. It is near both a Camping World and Freightliner dealer. Good for a quick 1-nighter, but most likely would not stay again. - DebGA
Oct 2018 - $30.00
Just off the Interstate in our long asphalt pull thru spot #99 with full hook up. Escort to the spot from the check in lady in the golf cart. Utilities in the middle where they should be for a pull thru. Nicely stocked store with ice cream! Great check in and well organized process. Got the lowdown on a casual seafood eatery that was great. Big Camping World store right around the corner. We were here during the 2018 Cruising the Coast weeklong event where thousands of classic cars descend on the coast of Mississippi. Cool stuff! - Blowfishqueen
Nov 2015 - $55.00
If you are RVing with your own ATV off road vehicle, this is the place for you. Otherwise, "nothing to see here."
Overpriced, all trash cans overflowing, no service other than security guard upon entry. He didn't want to take credit cards "too much effort".
Tried to rent an ATV for about $150 1/2 day. Went to club house as directed and found ATV with keys in ignition. Turned over but wouldn't start. Called and got voice mail. Called back after we left.
Site was level. - Joe Chernow
