Nice park. Lots of trees. Spacious site, cement pad. 35' motorhome and truck fits. Site leans downhill slightly. - destination
Sep 2019 - $29.00
Beautiful cg in forested setting. Spacious layout. Concrete patio beside driveway. Latern pole. All exceptionally clean. Host was very helpful. We arrived early to call UBER for ride to ST. Louis. Toured Arch and Uber returned us to camp. There is a passcode to enter cg after closing. Entire cg was clean, even dumpter area. The cg was built by 2 CCC camps, so there are beautiful stoneworks throughout. CCC museum is closed Mon and Tuesday. We will plan to come back to this cg to hike traills and go to museum. - classylady45

Camped 2 nights over the weekend end of June. Sites are on concrete pads, level, with picnic tables and patio area. Some are more shaded than others. mowed grass between sites. strong AT&T 4G service. Site had electric and worked well. This is probably the closest state park camping to St. Louis. The park itself has miles of great hiking trails but beware of ticks and chiggers! - VW_Vista

Very cramped but manageable. Staff were very friendly and we were escorted to our site which was a pull through. This is a camp for kids but it was very quiet at night. We were staying for personal reasons so we did not participate in the activities. Very crowed on week-end. I would stay again but not my first choice. Site was gravel and level. we stayed in 36' fifth wheel.Very good wi-fi, no cable, tv reception good. - Bosun
May 2019 - $45.00
It's an average park with smallish spots but if you've got kids, this place is pretty amazing. We took our 3 YO for the weekend and she was entertained and engaged from the moment we pulled into until the time we left. Check the website for the 'theme' of the weekend. Some of the activities are extra $ but not bad really. We're already planning our next trip for after the pool opens. It's also next to Six Flags and they have some ticket deals so if your kids are a little older this would work out well. - BigChris618
Apr 2018 - $58.00
I am writing this review as what this park is, it is for kids. I knew that going to Jellystone. So if you want the State Park experience, this is not your place. I brought my 3 year old son here just for a night. He LOVED it. There were multiple activities and he made friends right away (as did I). It is pricey for a small gravel site. The fire pits are really just holes in ground and can be close to your camper. I have a small camper so my truck and trailer fit in site. Middle size to large you will have to park elsewhere. This place is definitely geared to younger kids and that part does not disappoint. The staff is great. The playground is adequate and the pool in April is not open yet. So if you know you are coming for kid entertainment, then this is your place. - midwest_misplaced

Nice facility but light on the perks or add ons. We stayed in the area for a week and explored STL and while this was a safe place to come home to, it was predominately filled with long term residents. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful the park was clean and well maintained. Level site where we had parked too was a bonus! Would stay here again if ever in the area. - bertimus2002

We stop at this park quite often and have found that if you call in for a site they always give you one of the spots that are $55+. But, if you make your reservations on line, you can get a site that is pretty much the same for much less money (in the $30 range). It is a pretty typical KOA, level sites that are long enough that you don't have to unhook but, if you have another vehicle, you must park elsewhere. Staff is friendly, we are always escorted to our site and hookups work well. GPS does not route you to the park - ours sent us up a long, dead-end road with, thankfully, enough room at the top of the road to get turned around with 41' of trailer. - SandyA
Sep 2019 - $54.00
The front "over night" sites are not even close to level. After trying 2, we had to upgrade and pay for a full service site. We have been here before and had full site over by the comfort station. These sites are level and worth the money and services. - 2 Chiefs
Aug 2019 - $63.00
The place was pretty good. We didn't take kids but they had great activities for kids - they frequently took them on train rides, nice play equipment etc. Nice clean campground, friendly staff. Space was tight and wasn't level. Couldn't back the truck in on the gravel pad because we had to lower the landing gear too much to back the truck close to the camper. NEVER camp here if heavy rain is predicted and if you're camped here and it starts pouring rain, evacuate immediately. The bumper pull in the spot behind us was lost as was the 5th wheel beside it. The water in the space next to us was up to the bottom of the windows on the car the Class A next to us was towing before they finally got out. BTW we didn't see any signs warning of the possibility that the park could flood in heavy rain. The creek running behind the park was low and tiny. My understanding from talking to locals is that the Meramec River frequently comes up in this area. - Steve Bowers

Mostly permanent residents, but very nice. Concrete pads, convenient, big rig friendly. Manager was OUTSTANDING!! We had waited for over two hours at another campground to check in - no one in office or answering phone. Called and this park's manager helped us out. Thank goodness she had vacancies or we'd probably still be waiting!! Will stay here every time we're in the area. - DYK 640
Sep 2015 - $35.00
Right on the highway so VERY noisy. Way too many trees so couldn't get any satellite signal. Not really an RV park...more long term trailers. - CIAforHim
Jun 2013 - $1.00
Trees on entry road need trimming; also a number of the sites have low hanging branches. We have stayed at this RV park many times while visiting family, but never again. We arrived shortly after the flooding, expecting to find debris & signs of the creek overflowing. What we did not expect was to find dried sewage covering the pad and the grassy areas. Our site was closer to the creek than others, but the water had receded 5 days earlier. The water connection is underground (which I have always been a bit uneasy about), and the access "hole" was full of mud & likely sewage. Apparently every time the park floods -- which it does almost every year, to some extent -- the sewage comes up through the sewer connections. The smell was awful. We called the owner to come down; they were apologetic & said they'd get someone down to pressure-wash & spray chemicals on the pad in the next day or two and dig out the water connection. I'm not sure if they pick up the "sheets" of dried sewage; that wasn't mentioned. We had no idea this happened until this year, and has guaranteed we will not be going back to this park again because of the health risks, and the general "crawly" feeling we had once we realized we were basically parked in a sewer. There are children living in this park! The park is in a flood plain, but nothing was ever mentioned about sewage backing up into the park. The owner is a very sweet lady, but she's now in her mid-90s and just not able to keep up with things anymore. It's a real shame, because we always enjoyed the quiet, large sites, lack of traffic, and country "feel" (which is why I gave them a rating of 2). There are very few options for RV parks in the St. Louis area. If you decide to stay here and have pets, I'd suggest you buy a large container of disinfectant wipes to clean their feet every time they come back inside. We just could not convince ourselves to stay, although the majority of the sites are occupied. - HDT

Nice level sites and concrete pads. Asphalt roads. Some road noise. - KSTraveler
Jul 2019 - $40.00
They just reopened after being flooded. We chose this campground for it's location close to friends were wanted to visit. The road in to campground needs some serious work, very large potholes. Sites are concrete with room for RV & towed. Utilities worked fine. Power is easy to connect. Water was not easy to connect, it is below ground level. Friendly, professional staff. If they fix the entry road & flood damage this could be a nice park but if coming thru St Louis again I would not stay here. - Ketelhut
Sep 2018 - $33.00
The people were very nice, easy to maneuver in the park (don't turn in at the office) and nice spacing between sites. Water pressure was good as was the antenna TV signal and 30/50 amp electricity. You do get road noise here - but the convenience to St Louis was worth it. - Don Self

This is actually more of a mobile home park that is masquerading as a RV park. As near as I can tell, when a mobile home is removed for whatever reason they turn the slab into a RV slot. The mobile homes are stacked in tight. This is not the place you go for a vacation. But since there are not too many RV parks in the St. Louis area, this is the kind of place you go to if you are working in, or visiting the area and just need a place to park. Call as you pull up and a caretaker will meet you at the entrance. Didn't have any problems, but would only go back if I had to have a place to stay. - Dave Cole

We enjoyed a week stay to see the local sites. The gentleman at checkin was friendly and got me checked in quickly. All roads and sites are concrete and the park is very well kept. The city noise was minor and didn't bother me at all. The WiFi was very good as well as OTA tv channels. There was a tour group that came in for a few days. They were a very quiet, courteous, and friendly bunch. We would like to stay here again when in the area. - Hobbes

Nice park but the train and plane is overwhelming, not just bad, HORRIBLE. Won't stay here again. - scoots46
Sep 2019 - $53.00
Second time staying here. Grounds are very well maintained, sites are concrete, all hookups worked. Close to downtown St. Charles for dinner and entertainment, close casino as well. Lots of complaints from people about trains and planes, I heard one train go by and one plane. Lady in office was very friendly and helpful. Shower area needs to be cleaned in afternoon as well as morning, but it wasn't too terribly bad, just small. - Texas Guy

Oct 2019 - $45.00
This park is owned and managed by the city of St. Peters. The spaces are ample and boast a nice expanse of newly sodded grass due to the repairs from the spring flood. We were very impressed with the ongoing progress made to the park since the floods. They have invested a lot of money and time and the park is pristine. Be sure to get a reservation in early if you plan on staying over a weekend. We chose a back in spot and had a wonderful, unobstructed view of the lake. The location is ideal for exploring St. Louis (30 minutes to the Arch) and St. Charles. - The Regans
Oct 2019 - $45.00
Stayed a couple nights to enjoy the Arch in St Louis. Very easy access off the highway, easy access to your site, nice level gravel spot with plenty of room. Park is fairly new so there's absolutely no shade and they recently went through a flood so hadn't gotten their Wi-Fi hook back up yet but all have full hook ups. Very peaceful, clean and tidy. Seemed a lot to do around the lake as far as walking, biking, fishing, kayaking, Etc. When you stay at the park you get residents rates at a golf club and the outdoor pools in St Peters and free fishing. - Travelers4
Oct 2019 - $45.00
This could be a 5-star park... but read on for the details. The facility overall is set on 300 acres about 3 miles South of the Mississippi River. The 140 acre lake is ideal for paddling & fishing. Park amenities include multiple pavilions, dog park, boat ramp, boat dock & a bath house in the RV park area. The park flooded in May of 2019, and was closed for repair for a few months. Thus the RV park sites have fresh, lush sod & new utilities. The sites are spacious and level. Although there are a few with concrete pads, most are "roto-mill" (asphalt/gravel). On the downside, the park WiFi is unusable, and appears to be managed by a 3rd-party. The park staff should use it just to see how miserable it is. The sewer caps are the "Footloose" self-closing design which have threads that don't fit the popular Camco & Valterra threaded adapters. This may sound like nit-picking, but those two items are oddly inconsistent with the rest of the park design & investment. I'd stay here again when visiting St. Louis. - Mr_Mrs_T

Sep 2019 - $52.00
Very nice park in downtown St. Louis. Lots of traffic, but fairly easy to navigate the area. A little pricey, but his park was closest to where I needed to be so it was worth the small inconvenience. All the sites that I saw were gravel and I had to raise one side about 3 inches to get level. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were VERY clean. Showers were roomy with good water pressure. Pool and grounds very clean. The 30 amp breaker on my site was weak and tripped a couple of times. I just put a 30/50 amp adapter on, plugged in to the 50 amp and had no further problems. I would stay here again. - rdrunner
May 2019 - $52.00
Surprising location close to city. Was quiet at night though, and much appreciated. It is basically a parking lot but sites are spacious. They are not particularly level. Restrooms and showers were clean and spacious also. Staff was very helpful. We were able to stay hooked up and walked across the street to a c-store at a gas station for a basic we had forgotten. - exceltraveler
Jul 2018 - $50.00
Pretty handy to all the tourist attractions. Management is super - very helpful, both in knowledge and escorting you to your site. Some traffic noise, but nights are quiet (surprising for its location). The park slopes a few degrees, so bring blocking. I'd stay again when in the area. - eaf14131
