5 RV Parks near Bowling Green, Missouri
Sep 2019 - $32.00
Well-organized and tidy cg. Owner guided us to our pull-through site to ensure that we positioned correctly on the gravel. The shower/bathrooms are secured by key, given during registration. Good system. Doggie walk/exercise area is clearly identified. This cg was convenient between Hannibal and St. Louis. - classylady45
Oct 2018 - $32.00
Perfect for an overnight stop, pull through was level and hookups convenient to use. The highway can get noisy at times but the close distance to highway 61 for our trip south was what we wanted, didn't need a resort with high prices for the night. - Richard907
Aug 2018 - $29.00
Small older campground, mainly full hookup, pull-thru sites. Some long-term campers In back of park. Restrooms clean and well-maintained as is laundry. Roads gravel. Appears to be owned and maintained by older couple. Little contact with owner after checking-in. Soft-serve ice cream available in office (not open most of the time). Sits between two roads with heavy traffic about 24/7. Little shade. Campground prices far more reasonable than in Hannibal. Would return. - grandma0942

We came across the little park while visiting Louisiana, Mo. It is located behind Izola's Place a little restaurant at 401 S. 3rd st. They only have 30 amp electrical hook ups, water, and sewer. They have no restrooms or showers so you have to use yours. They only have 8 or 9 sites. This was constructed for the works when they were putting a pipe line through the area. It is located close to the center of town and is not listed anywhere else on the internet. We did not stay here but felt it would be good to know about. The sites are road base and look pretty level. So if you're in the area and the place up the road in Bowling Green is booked up here's a back up. By the way the kitchen in the restaurant was spotless and the menu looked good. - pumper9x9

We had a reservation through Coast to Coast, upon check-in, they could not find the reservation, then we were informed this was to be a "blocked" week-end due to their Halloween festivities yet it wasn't blocked when I made the reservation. They tried to accommodate us by putting us into a spot barely large enough to fit a pop-up trailer. Apologies were made and we were on our way. - JBu

Tievoli Hills deserves to call itself a resort with many housing options, activities and well-groomed landscaping. The staff was friendly, bathrooms and laundry were kept clean and the area was quiet even when occupancy was high on the weekends. The property is very large and offers fishing, boating, basketball, golf (putt-putt and driving range), tennis, indoor basketball, a pool, tent camping, villas, cabins, an event center and rv sites. It is remote with neither Verizon data or phone service and a long drive to shopping and restaurants. Electric, water and sewer were good but wifi did not reach the rv park and was not truly functional even near the villas. Roads and sites in the rv section were gravel and easy to navigate. Some sites offer a lot of shade. The park is situated on a narrow, rural highway but is easy to locate. We paid a special weekly rate. - never settled

In a nutshell, stay away. If we could give this place a zero we would do so. The bathrooms are beyond filthy, mold appears to be growing on the shower stall benches, trash everywhere. The ground around our campsite was littered with cigarette butts. The buildings and all infrastructure look like they have had no maintenance in years. The "locals" or weekenders were very unfriendly; in fact scary.
It's very unfortunate as the place looks like it may have been decent at one point many years ago. We found the place in an older Good Sam book but the campground was no longer affiliated with Good Sam so there was no discount available.
If visiting the Hannibal area for the Mark Twain historical features find another campground for your stay. We booked two nights but left after staying only one night. - RalphB3
Jun 2015 - $31.00
The lady checking us in was helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about the area.
The campground is old and dirty. Sites were not level, muddy and sewer connection broken.
Appears to be mostly full time residence that do not seem to take any pride in their site. Junk laying all around. Will not come back. - Stockmk

Worst campground ever! First of all, the campground is not marked, coming from Hannibal. We drove right past it. When we arrived, there is a window/ac unit boarded up with plywood. Not even new plywood, that looks like an accident or breakage recently happened, rotted on the bottom plywood. We arrived at 3pm the afternoon on a FRIDAY , and had to call a phone number listed on the door for help. When we finally arrived at our site and set up, the were so many dogs barking it sounded like we were at the humane society. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel, and had to park the truck on the gravel street, as there wasn't enough room to actually park at the site. We could not find the restaurant/lounge that was listed on the website. The was ice and firewood only at the "general store". The camper across from us, was a permanent site and the camper was finished off with plywood. Batting cages actually worked, but was really old. The kids tried to go to the store several times to get quarters, there wasn't anyone there. Pool is very small , kids didn't stay in it long, they said it smelled funny. My husband used the restroom once, said it smelled like urine and there was nothing in there to wash his hands with. We couldn't get out of there fast enough! - Hilgirl
