This is our 2nd time staying at this park. They no longer accept Passport America, unless you had stayed there previously as a Passport America member, which we had. The for us was $20. Staff are very friendly. The sites are nice and long and fairly level. It is a great location for visiting the Carthage Joplin area. There is some road noise, but not bad. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We are traveling Rt 66. This is by far the best RV park we have stayed at in the past two weeks. Stephanie checked us in cheerfully and efficiently. What an ambassador she is for the Carthage area. She took the time to go through the guide book, with recommendations for stops. Carthage Chamber of Commerce should really appreciate this lady. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Read the reviews and the positive comments are spot on. Very nice owner and speedy check with good knowledge of sites access and swing ro0om needed for big rigs and the sites are extremely long and well spaced side to side. Well kept, clean park with good placement of the FHUs. It had just rained and there was no mud and sites are well packed and drained gravel covered. Our GPS brought us in on the scenic route coming from the north but we got right to the RV park entrance with no issues. We would surely stay again if in the area. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I always enjoy stopping over with hosts/owners. Mi Casa is always changing for the better, but this time I was blown away....80% of the park is solar power! and more new sites. Our stay this time was for 4 days and enjoyable as always. Staff live on site, know the area and directed us to any place we could come up with. They really care about their guests and registration is quick and easy. The park is on Route 66 in a secluded, country setting, but minutes from Carthage and Joplin. Roads and sites are gravel and mostly level, wide and easily long enough for any camper, towed or other combination to park or maneuver. Some shade, but trees don't impede slides, awning or satellite reception. Utilities were as expected and up to spec. Wifi is reliable even during the heavy use times. It's a nice neighborhood of overnighters and extended stays. The aerial map is misleading, not correct when you zoom in. Campgrounds are rated not from a resort wish list of services, facilities and luxuries, but how well the campground is maintained, thought out and the condition of existing services and facilities. It is on our return list. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed in many RV parks during our three years of traveling, and each excellent one has a stand out feature. In Camp Mi Casa it is the owners. They are friendly, helpful and always willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Having a place to play with our dogs off leash is important to us and, when we asked, they let us use the large grass area at the back of park. It is flexibility and service that sets this park apart. The sites were gravel and had plenty of space between them, and everything was kept clean and neat. I especially would recommend this park to dog owners who want a pet friendly atmosphere. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Can't say enough, this was an unexpected gem. We stayed 5 nights in a 45' motorhome. All sites are gravel and extremely spacious. Enough room for the motorhome with a car parked in front and back. Beautiful shade tree, but did not block our satellite, which worked very well. WiFi available, but I used our Verizon service with no slow down. All roads and sites were gravel. Hook ups were in good working order and easily accessible from any part of the site. Large grass area on both sides, spacious even with 4 slides. There was a well maintained pool, but we didn't use it. Hosts had a beautiful campfire for guests on Friday night. It had rained and we had some trouble leveling, A staff member came over, moved us to another site and brought over some items to help us level and have a clean entry/exit, really helpful. Owners have had the place for 3 years and done an amazing job transforming the park into a great place. We will be back! We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is the second time we stayed at this campground. The owners are very very nice and accommodating. They have a pool and large fire pit area. It was stormy while we were there so we couldn't use them. Our site was very long with packed gravel and pretty level. The wifi was down because of the storms, so I cant comment on it. Everything was very clean and well kept. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

The only reason I won't give this park a 10 is there are no trees for shade. We did not need it since it was cold and rainy the two days we stayed. The sites are very level and large. Would love to stay there when we could take advantage of the pool and large fire pit area. Everything is newly remodeled and looks fantastic. I have never seen a laundry and shower area that was as clean as this one was every time we used it. 3 cheers for the management she was super nice and helpful. Tips for other Campers:

We stayed 2 days in Carthage and loved our time there. We visited the Civil War Museum, shopped for antiques downtown. We loved the little Carthage Deli and the décor was super cute. The county count house is a must, it's like a museum in itself. We loved riding in the old elevator. We drove out to Precious Moments. Wish we could have gone to the old drive-in but it was closed for the season. And would love to go back sometime and eat at the Steak house where they have live rodeos while you eat.

Our second stay at this park. Owner is very nice. Spots are gravel, but generally pretty level. Look closely and you'll find amenities most parks don't have at this price point: swimming pool, tennis court, spacious and spotless bathhouse/laundry. Even if you don't use it, it's worth a look - the concrete floor is a work of art with colors swirled throughout. Wifi is weak. One caution: If you arrive after dark like we did, be careful when walking pets. what looks like an interior park road leading to the highway is actually a well-traveled road. Walking pets on it could be extremely dangerous. Two large fire rings suitable for group bonfires are a nice touch. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is what an RV park should be. Spacious, uncluttered, easy access, good rates. Very efficient check-in by owner and her 3 (?) year old helper! Very long space with ideally situated utilities. Plenty of room from neighbors. I might move here if it was in Texas! We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an awesome park, just outside Carthage MO, about 1/2 mile from the Route 66 drive in. The owner met us at check in and was accommodating, cheerful and friendly. You can see her touches throughout the park. All the sites were full hook-up with either 50 or 30 Amp service. Not perfectly level, but very good, all packed gravel and stable. Super long pull through sites, could have fit another 40' MH in with us. Shower house, bathrooms, and pool were immaculate. Wifi was strong and usable. We were in the first row, can't speak to reception further back. We will return. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

We are so happy we found this campground. I was impressed with the ease of maneuvering in and out of the park with our MH, and especially the way their sites are laid out. Almost all the sites are facing north, which means a shaded afternoon for relaxing alongside the coach. I was also glad to see they had a sufficient amount of gravel on the interior roads and on their sites that we never kicked up a ton of dust like we experienced in the last few campgrounds we have visited. Unlike many campgrounds where we have stayed recently, the WiFi here was sufficient enough to post this review and keep up with some emails. We found the owners extremely helpful and friendly. I felt as if we had met up with old friends. And although the campground is located on old route 66, we weren't bothered by the road noise. We enjoyed a trip into Carthage and met some of the friendliest locals as we shopped the restored district and had a meal at one of their local cafes. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Do take a trip into Carthage to wander around the square, see some of the local scenery, and browse the shops. The Civil War Museum is a nice stop as well. Joplin isn't a far drive away and definitely ramble a ways down Route 66

Small, quaint RV park, with Tex-Mex/New Mexico vibe/motif. Very nice, small dipping pool. Park is mostly open with a few trees. No cable. Wifi slow. Very friendly reception. Site #11 was pretty level with a nice tree for morning shade. A few seasonals. I plan on returning. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

We drove out to Avilla to the east, then to Carthage, then Joplin on the old Route 66. A lot of fun pictures to take. Memory Lane of fun times. Be see the Jasper County Court House in Carthage, amazing, like a Castle. Also went out to Precious Moments to tour its building and grounds. Beautiful. If in the area, we would come back to this campground for sure.
