Overall Rating:

Very nice park; lots of shade; friendly staff; good value; nice sites with 50 amp FHU's, mostly pull-through but some back ins; close to two RV dealers for service/repair if needed; close to Carthage and Joplin MO. Very east access off I-49 only 1 mile north of I-44. Very nice blacktop interior roads; gravel sites; excellent park for one night, or a month (we usually stay 1 week or a month; and they do have weekly and monthly rates). Close to lots of interesting activities; and only 90 miles (1 hour 45 minute) from Branson (Silver Dollar City); just a few miles from Precious Moments. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tucked behind adjacent RV sales & service center. Many wooded sites, possibly long-termers. The pull-through sites at the back of the park were long, level gravel . . . but not a tree in sight. More like a hot parking lot. The staff were wonderful - went out of their way to help me get a replacement bulb for a reading light in our rig. Escorted to site. No picnic table but a concrete patio. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to find from the highway and a quiet place to stay. Quick and easy check-in. Escorted to our site. Roads are paved, the site was gravel and we had a concrete pad. It's not our first stay here and each time it gets better and better. Already looking forward to our next visit. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed many times when in the area during our travels and find the rv park to be above average for a low frills location. The only issue that I have encountered is with the service department of the adjoining rv dealership to the park. If you have an urgent issue with your rv while there or prior to arriving, they aren't very accommodating in getting you in to fix the issue(s). There should always be a small window in scheduling to address these types of situations. Has always left a bad taste in my mouth. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice clean park with friendly staff. Park is on sloping ground but sites are fairly level. Had some heavy rain during our stay, little standing water. Park has the best set of rules I have ever read. Upper part of park has shaded sites, lower part not so much. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A conveniently located RV park at the intersection of I-44 and I-49, but with very little highway noise. Since it's part of the attached RV dealership, many of the sites were occupied by new RVs waiting for delivery/pick-up or for service, but there were also a few very long-term looking campers. The campground itself is clean and looks nice. Some sites have decent spacing between them (for a commercial RV park) though we had a new (unoccupied) motorhome parked right next to us (facing the opposite direction, with utilities for both located between our rigs). AT&T and Verizon both worked fine, and there was a large vacant field adjacent to the campground which was handy for dog walks. Overall, a great place to stop for a couple nights while driving cross-country. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is neat as a pin. We stay in the bottom/north section which is great for big rigs and satellite use. Roads are paved and sites are crushed stone. Wi-Fi is free and very good. It is near Interstate 49 but it is very quiet. It does have a storm shelter and the hosts are well trained in getting people into it when the need arises. All in all a great park. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Get your kicks on Rte 66, both east/north and west/south. A tour of the Coleman Theater in Miami OK is a great destination on Rte 66. Also as noted the Lucky J Steakhouse has people riding horses just about every night. In summer outside and in winter indoors so you can eat in the bar while watching. Carthage has many restaurants and many date back to Rte 66 days. I also hear that Undercliff, a restaurant/bar under a cliff may be reopening soon.

The park was an easy exit from I-49 and our GPS worked great. The office staff was friendly and we were placed in a long pull thru. The hookups were convenient and we had a good line of sight for our roof mounted dish. ATT cellular signal was good at 3-4 bars and 4G LTE also came in at 3-4 bars. The park had free WiFi which was pretty good. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is easy to access and maneuver through. Interior roads are paved, sites are gravel and level. Most of the park has mature trees and is heavily shaded but there is a section in the sunshine with good satellite reception. No restrooms, but the laundry was clean with a nice book exchange. Electric, water (softened!), sewer and wifi worked well. Over the air TV stations were available. Verizon phone and data were available in the area. Staff was friendly and the park was attractive with whimsical decorations, bird feeders and squirrel feeders. The park was quiet with only minimal traffic noises. We would be happy to stay here again. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very clean, well managed park. Conveniently located right off 49 near the 44 junction. Even though it was close to the highway, you couldn't really hear the road noise. Sites are gravel but level, full hook-ups plus cable. Clean laundromat (in the same building as the office). 4 sets of washer/dryers, $1.75/$1.25 per load. Excellent T-Mobile and AT&T cell reception. No fire pits or picnic tables. Located directly across from their RV sales/service center. Convenient to shopping in Carthage (about 3 miles), and easy access to Joplin. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Colaw RV Salvage (the biggest RV salvage in the U.S.) We replaced our dinette with a Thomas Payne leather loveseat recliner while staying at Coachlight. They receive a lot of overstock furniture directly from factories.

Very easy to access and manipulate. Most roads are one way but the gentleman who took us to our sites did explain that with large rigs /coaches it was okay to go the wrong way on the circle road. It was very clean and definitely pet friendly. It was a great idea to have the RV sales/repair basically next door (you came into the park via the parking lot). We only stayed one night but it was quiet, probably because it is in a bit of a valley. Very enjoyable, would definitely stay again. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
