Still being worked on. Bathrooms but no showers. On river and close to bike trail. Good for dogs. Lots of room during week, supposedly fills up on weekends. - mjtesky
Jun 2012 - $28.00
Quiet and out of the way. Good size slots. Host was not only gracious and accommodating, but beautiful. - Boondockdad

The positives of this campground were full hookup plus sewer, fairly close to interstate, nice host, quiet, and a boat dock. However the negatives overrode the positives for us. The small park was right on the Katy Trail and had a lot of potential. Sadly, it was overgrown and unkempt, other campers were few and a little questionable, the store was only open on weekends, and it was riverside but not scenic. It was like camping in a farm field that had not been mowed. We meant to stay and ride the trail, but we left after one night. Would not stay here again. - busyteach

Pine Grove RV Park is very simple; offering full hookups and catering to a predominantly long term group. They have 70+ sites that are mostly back-in, with the tires parked on two strips of concrete, and a small concrete pad adjacent to park your tow vehicle. Otherwise sites are mix of gravel, grass and mud. Sites are not very level sloping severely back to front; had the tongue jack all the way down and still not level. No bathhouse, no laundry, no cable and most of the sites were blocked by trees for satellite. So for an overnite, it would be fine, but long term has limited visitor appeal. We noted many units occupied by medical people, so assumed travelling nurses. $20/night based on $595 monthly rate. - Todd Hancock
Aug 2018 - $38.00
The mobile home park is separate but the entire area is very well maintained. Concrete sites, pull through with plenty length for toad. CG information was waiting for us at our site. We did have to have some help with water hookup but staff was quick to respond. Only caution is that the water hookup is way down in the well...a foot or two...enough to be very awkward for someone who has difficulty getting on knees on concrete and leaning that far down. The fitting is angled so that makes it even more awkward. To their credit, the CG has tried to put short lengths of hose which extend to ground level, but customers seem to forget to disconnect them when leaving...not an affordable solution for CG. The CG is right between major highways so some road noise. There is signage and pavement marking throught the campground to direct you to RV parking areas. Check in parking for RVs as you turn into the driveway. All in all, excellent choice. - BWO

Called and reserved a spot - when we got there they took us to our site. It was very narrow (possible the worst spot in the campground) and had no room between the camper on our right (stepped out the door to his septic line). We complained and they moved us over two spots which did have a nice grassy area and more room. All good and fine. Until the next morning at 8:30am when they shut off the power with no notice! We were in the middle of getting cleaned up and ready to have breakfast - then no power! We asked and they said there was a scheduled outage for electrical work (trees, etc.) - however, they neglected to inform anyone! Angry to say the least. The staff was very polite and offered coupons or Starbucks coffee (which we do not drink or eat unfortunately). Just felt it was quite wrong not to inform us of the scheduled outage ahead of time! It also has lots of "working" people staying semi-permanently in campers. Not my idea of the best campground, but not the worst I have seen either. - Tap5050

This is a new park in a beautiful setting. Just a short distance off I-70 and far enough away to be quiet. There is even a place for your horse! Or maybe, like us, you just enjoy watching their horses in the nearby pasture. Staff are knowledgeable about area and helpful. Look to their website for extensive list of amenities. Good place for family reunions as they have more overnight accommodations. - prius10

May 2012 - $23.00
This definitely was not a family friendly atmosphere. It is a place to go and party, if that is what you're looking for. There is not easy access for full size motorhomes because of narrow roads and low trees. - Harlee79
Jun 2009 - $20.00
This is a good place to drink and party, I wouldn't take kids. It's hard to park in most sites. Weekends have many tent campers very close and walking through your area, there's very little privacy. There's one very small restroom in the store with one pay shower available during store hours and a few really nasty portable potties. I won't stop there again. - David's path
Jul 2007 - $20.00
Call in advance, the campground is pretty far out in the country and small. I'm not sure too many big rigs could be accommodated. Amenities are way down on the 1-10 scale but the location and atmosphere more than compensate. A great view of the historic Missouri River, live entertainment and friendly locals added to the ambiance. It truly feels that you've stepped way back in time. The Thai food concession added to the wonder. If your thing is bicycle riding, you're situated on 30 miles of improved RR bed - fantastic riding. Coopers Landings is out of the way but unique and we would return in a heart beat. - richb

Nov 2018 - $25.00
Arrived on a Sunday, office was closed however there was a notice clipped to the office that let us know which site was reserved for us. When we arrived at that site, it was already occupied. We parked in the next site. The smaller pull-thru sites are extremely close to each other. Hookups worked well. Very good WIFI. Management arrived on Monday. Little store had a nice variety of items. - Organic1
Oct 2018 - $40.00
Great value in central Missouri with a first class office staff. Plenty of room to navigate the park and each site was spacious. We had heavy rain while visiting the area and only a few sites had standing water. Plenty of public grassy areas for dogs, nice laundry, camp store and indoor and outdoor meeting areas. The park was celebrating Halloween with some awesome decorations. - Jacarl
Sep 2018 - $40.00
Good place for an overnight. This was a backin site, with a tail to tail arrangement. As there was no one behind us we could drive-through as we were advised by manager. This was a nice clean, well managed park. It is a little bit out of town, but that makes for a quiet stay. We would stay here again. - hoppytoad

Jun 2018 - $19.00
This is a nice park to stop at for the night, about 6 miles off expressway. Some sites are level and some not (like most parks) so make sure you have some blocks but overall not too bad. The is a lot of shade and there is some privacy between sites. They only have electric but there is a dump station and water spigots around so you can fill your tank. Electric service was good, cell service ATT was good and we used our hotspots, got a dozen channels over the air. The shower house has individual showers and looked to be fairly new, but could sure use a good cleaning, paper and soap bars everywhere....plenty of hot water. I was told the camp host had a medical issue and had to leave so that may explain the trash lying around the campsites and shower houses. Park ranger was always visible and the checkin lady was very nice. A lot of dirt bike trails so a lot of riders, but never really heard anything but I'm sure there are times when the noise could be bad on the weekends. We would stay here again if passing thru. - smoky40
Sep 2017 - $21.00
This park is considered a destination for ATV's and dirt bikes, and has miles of trails to accommodate them. It also has trails for mountain bikes, and lakes for fishing and kayaking. The park is usually full during summer weekends with campers who use these facilities. However, if you stay on a weekday, as we did, you'll find the park virtually empty. It's located less than 10 miles north of I-70, and is worth the trip to attain a spot in peaceful beautiful surroundings. Spaces which are electric-only accommodate RV's. Camp hosts are friendly and very helpful. Our site was level and very large; we had a view of a beautiful meadow from our patio area. - FifthWheel Travelers
Aug 2015 - $21.00
This is and ATV park but also has biking and hiking trails as well as a lake/water trail. It was very quiet while we were there, perhaps due to the rainy weather. Park is about 10 miles north of Columbia on 63. Not hard to find but it doesn't jump out at you either. Campground is a couple of miles from the check-in so you have to drive in to find a spot and then drive back to register. Nice shower house and paved, mostly level sites. I would avoid the place in midsummer but it has several attractions that others no doubt value. - oldmac

Oct 2017 - $32.00
Staff friendly, but infrastructure rough. Our site, which we were told was the only one we would fit in, was easily 15 degrees off level (front to back). Appeared to be plenty of space around our site when we setup late afternoon, but we experienced several very close campers setting up into the evening. When we awoke, I discovered that I would barely be able to get my rig out through the obstacle course presented by campers and tow vehicles packed-in around us. Ran our A/C through the night to mask neighbor noise. - EnjoyinLife
Jun 2017 - $31.00
Very rustic campground. Lots of trees and a fishing pond. Many activities to do if you were spending much time there (shuffleboard, horse shoes, pool table, fishing, swimming pool). We arrived late and left early so didn't have time to use them. Even though we only stayed for a short overnight, this was our least favorite park of the 4 that we used during our trip for the following reasons. I called a few hours in advance as we would be arriving around 9:30 PM. She told me no problem just call her when I got there and she would meet me at the office. Upon my arrival I called her about 6 times in 10 minutes and it just went to voicemail. I ended up walking around in the dark searching for a full hook up pull through spot and parked myself. No explanation or apology from her in the morning when I stopped at the office to pay. Bath house is VERY outdated and it shows. Used toilet paper is to be placed in trash cans in stall rather than flushed down the toilet. Very wooded area and some lots are narrow due to the trees. The road to get there is a 1.5 mile gravel, pot hole filled road. I did notice some signs of progress and improvements in the works. With some upgrades to facilities this could be a wonderful place to stay. Also, the $31.00 is more than we paid at most of the other places we stayed. We traveled in a 29 ft. Motorhome. We will not be staying here again. - profesorstew
May 2017 - $30.00
This park is back off the main drag, the road to the park is gravel but ok....our site was level and shady and all services worked ok.....the pull thrus are close together but we were only here for the night...didn't use showers or restrooms....they have a small kitchen in office and they will fix things like pizza or burgers, we has pizza and for the price it was very good, along with salad and drinks, including beer....they also serve breakfast.....the owners are very friendly....good ATT signal, wifi was not good at our spot so we used our hotspots....got about 15 channels over the air...all in all good valve for your dollar, would stay here again. - smoky40

May 2017 - $20.00
As the previous reviewer stated, this is primarily a mobile home community. However, it's a very pretty place to park your RV for however long you need, and very safe and comfortable. Sites are nice and long, longer than I've seen anywhere, and pull-throughs. Roads are wide. No facilities but there are swings on what's left of the long-abandoned playground, and my son enjoyed those. Plenty of trees for cover, tucked away but still close to everything, right off the highway. We were only here one night but we'd stay here again, especially for the price. - chasmyn
Oct 2009 - $20.00
This is primarily a mobile home park with no shower/bathroom facilities. They have 24 RV sites and we use them every time we are in the area. Gravel sites that are level. $100 per week. The hosts are pleasant and helpful!!! Good access to area attractions. - DesertRat

Aug 2014 - $20.00
This campground must be a work in progress. It is a little further off the highway than expected and down a winding lane that has not been graded recently. Full hookup sites are back in. Pull thru sites have "available" water, Our site had full facilities. Utilities worked fine. Showers were clean, individual bathrooms. Big rigs would find it challenging to negotiate and chose a site. I would not return here. - Yeager
Aug 2014 - $19.00
We just stayed at this beautiful, wooded, campground. We stayed at campsite 11, but there are many good sites to choose from. The showers and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The hosts are great and we can't wait to come back for our next visit which we already have reserved. - ArtPainter
Jun 2014 - $28.00
This was not our first choice for a campground in the Columbia area but the one where we usually stay was full so this was the next best we could find. The lack of Internet was very inconvenient. This is a very rustic campground. By that I mean lots of trees and natural landscaping. It has more of a woodsy feel. The sites were gravel but well maintained. We were able to use our satellite dish. The owners were very nice and were helpful in answering questions and giving information. The campground was quiet at night which is important to us. There were a few barking dogs but not for extended periods of time as we have experienced at other campgrounds. It is located a bit off the main road and there is a fairly steep gravel hill into the campground but we negotiated it with no trouble. If a resort-like atmosphere, pool, and Internet is important to you then this is not the campground for you. We would stay here again. - cgrubbs
