Off the beaten path, this park is about 12 miles from the I-44 exit. It's located right on the Gasconade River across from the Mark Twain National Forest. Flat level sites, mostly back in. Good power, both 30 and 50 Amp. Good water pressure. Wonderful managers, they were fantastic. We were late in the season so not a lot of occupants. Wonderful clear sky and excellent stargazing. Fun to watch the bats flying after insects just at dusk. Phone and Wifi reception is very sketchy unless you're by the office. Our jetpack was able to get 2 bars of service for AT&T. Some of the sewer connections were a bit far from the parking site, so make sure you have additional hose, I used 25' We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The campground is approximately 8 miles out of Saint Robert, right out of FLW, on cty. rd. PP. the last 1/4 mile is rough gravel. The setting is picturesque, set about 60 acres of pasture land and part of the campground bordering Gasconade River. Our site, C1, was 50amp full hookup. Water pressure was pretty weak, wifi was okay with signal being stronger in our rig with full line of sight. They do have a repeater in sites on river with a stronger signal. AT&T signal was acceptable, my Verizon cell signal got 1 bar in some areas. My husband, who had occassion to talk with owners, found them to be friendly and accommodating. There were two bath/restrooms with the office/shower, laundry being one and a "rustic" shower/restrooms serving river sites. The bath houses were not very clean, granted we were there at the end of season. The weather was unseasonably warm and we were warned they could turn the water off if the temperature dropped too low. Flies were horrible, fishing was good, setting was gorgeous. We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Super Walmart is only major grocery. Several options for dining out, 25 min to drive in on narrow two lane winding highway. Plenty of sight seeing opportunities.

Great place near a town with everything but the campground is in the country. Outdoor fun with many rental options as well as natural beauty.

Overall Rating:

This campground is really not big rig friendly. Low tree branches and narrow rural roads to get to the location. The office was not manned upon our arrival but the mgmt does answer the phone. The problem is that there is little to no wireless phone service in the campgrounds. A 911 call would be a problem at least while we were there. We chose to move after one night due to low elevation and forecast heavy rain. Getting out after heavy rain would be a challenge. We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful location, big spacious pull throughs, and extremely quiet mid week. Don't know about weekends/ holidays because the owners run a big canoe/rafting/float site from this campsite. We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is a gem along a beautiful river. We were camped right next to a path to a cool swim. The park is well kept with long, wide, level sites. It is definitely out of the way: 3 miles down a narrow winding road, the last bit gravel and 2-way travel un-imaginable. Fortunately, that problem did not develop. The owners are very friendly. We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Motorhome.

Great find! About 6 miles north of Interstate 44, 2 hours east of Springfield. The last 1/2 mile into the park is gravel and narrower roads, but very passable. Modern sites with a small store and laundry at the office. Staff was excellent and very friendly at check-in. Very large sites. 3-4 pullthrus and 12-15 back-ins or even can be used as on the side. We camped 20 feet from the river under shade trees and had a very tranquil experience. The "Boiling Spring" is an actual spring that is the 14th largest spring in Missouri and causes the water to appear to "boil" as it enters the river right across from the campground. Great fishing and boat ramp on sight. We camped at Boiling Spring Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
