Jul 2018 - $30.00
We stayed here for two nights on the weekend. Very clean and presentable campground. The marina is wonderful. Horse stables and trails are a nice touch too. Next time we'll try to book right on the Lake of the Ozarks. Expect a long drive in from the highway. Sort of surprising. We'll go back. - Geno929

We stayed at the LOTO (Lake of the Ozarks) State park at the end of July. The park is nicely wooded and in some areas, you have a great view of the lake. The camping spaces are well spaced. The lots are paved and level. The amenities, while older (shower/bathrooms) were well maintained and clean. Plenty of wildlife as my husband and I saw a lot of deer. Campground hosts were good about stopping by when we checked in and were seen out and about quite a bit. - Tinymite1

This park is in a great location on the water with many amenities, however IT IS NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY !!! We have a 45ft class A pusher and we had reserved a site in section 4 (the back of the park) suitable up to 60ft; however, the site was on an incline and we were unable to ever get sufficiently level. Also, the winding road through the park with many trees make it easy for something to go wrong. Fortunately, my husband is an experienced big rig driver so we managed to get through without any damage, but even a good driver could hit a tree limb at some point. They do have a couple of sites in section 1 that would be suitable for a big rig. The people in the office were very friendly and helpful and fully understood our issue. I would definitely recommend this park for people that have a smaller rig or a tent. The park is green, the sites have a nice amount of space between them and the lake is fantastic. We were bummed to have to move to a different RV park. The one thing that would have been tough had we stayed is that we did not have cell phone or internet access from the site. A blessing for some, specially if you want kids to do something other than be on their phones, however I work from our RV so not having cell service is an issue. - Windquest

Back portion (30+) sites are all seasonal. Front portion monthly or short term pull-thru and backing. Sites are all gravel but pretty level, full hook up, wifi, pool, laundry, play area, etc. New owners (1 1/2 years) are super nice and take pride in a clean and organized campground. Convenient to east side of lake and lots of nearby amenities/stores. - Jitime40
Jun 2018 - $40.00
Folks were VERY nice at this campground! I have to say this was the BEST WiFi I have EVER experienced in a campground. While not exactly ON the lake - you can get to where you want to go very easily and quickly. Sites were level, shady & the neighbors, many of whom are lifers, were exceptional! I hear this place is under new ownership - so if you haven't been in a while - I recommend going back! - Todd Ellis
Jun 2018 - $36.00
Camping with a motorhome and toad to visit relatives in the area. This campground fits the bill perfectly! Everything works! Even good WiFi in a campground! We asked for a site for our TV satellite and were well taken care of. You feel like you are in the country, (gravel roads well maintained and trees and shade if you want them), but everything you need is close by and no road noise. A bit of leveling the RV was not a problem. Laundry and rest rooms are very clean and fully functioning. The owners are on site and very responsive and caring. So is the night staff. We needed a battery "jump" for our toad TWICE and they were so prompt and helpful and got us going. This is a good, pleasant and friendly place to camp. We wish the owners well in future and hope to return. - Rich W

We stayed for a month. Restrooms including showers were always clean, and temperature controlled! The owners and staff are helpful and responsive. This is a great stop next to the river. I would definitely return. - Nancy L

We stayed at the park while visiting family in the area. We enjoyed walking around the park and just taking in the sites. We will stay here again. - Randy Lyon
Sep 2016 - $40.00
We have stayed here for a month the past couple years. This year the owners are the ones running the campground and they are a rip off. The monthly rate is $375 plus electric which our electric was $105 for two weeks. We paid for a month but only stayed 2 weeks due to the condition of the campground and the fact that when it rains it turns into a mudpit. We bought a brand new camper while we were there and had mud stains everywhere just from walking in our camper. Grass was knee high and service was unfriendly. Please go somewhere else if you care about service or your camper. Not to mention if it rains a lot like earlier this year they have to evacuate you with no refund due to the river flooding. - rgmowing

Not bad right on the river. Power and sewer worked great. Most people use this park as a full time or a get away place. We will stay again if in the area. - JustDon

We had a great time there. The people was very friendly. It had everything a person would like. Site was big and had picnic tables and burn pits. Would go back - Nilesfamily2000

This campground is home to monthly or full time campers. There were many trailers set up permanently in the camp. We camped for one night during the office season and it was only OK. Sites were close together. The restrooms were clean. The kids enjoyed the two items on the playground but didn't feel comfortable here letting them out of my site. Although river site, the only access was via the boat ramp. Near our camp spot it was at least 40 feet straight down to the river. I don't think we'll be back. - momofthreeinmo

Nice park for families with small children staying in anything other than a large rv. This place is definately NOT big rig friendly! And there is hardly any grassy area's or trails for walking dogs. 4 wheel drive is a must have if towing a camper into and out of this park. - shovelrog
Nov 2016 - $19.00
The park is located in a hilly area and hard to drive into ( One mile of unpaved, rocky and dusty road), plus very unlevel lots. Mostly occupied by long term, run down RV's and park model homes. The advertised lake is covered with green algie. This park is not recommened. - Berry Patch
May 2016 - $33.00
Stayed here for one night. Although you might think you made a wrong turn the park is worth staying at. Road leading into campground is gravel and when we arrived it had been raining. Needless to say it was muddy. They let us have our own choice of sites and we stayed in #61 next to the lake. I would like to return to this park in June or July. - camp4evr

The road to the campground is rough in places. The office staff are friendly and helpful but, the only supplies available is ice. Entire area is gravel. Several fulltimers and year round campers as evidenced by the look of the unwashed trailers. Overall not to bad. We will be back. - jmd
May 2007 - $28.00
Nice park. No highway noise. Some new sites with landscaping and plenty of room for slide outs. They also have cabin rentals and boat rentals. We enjoyed the friendly staff and the in-ground pool. Must access the park via a gravel 1/3 mile gravel road. Some asphalt at the park, but all sites are gravel. We will be back! - Loren

Recommend this park. Working in area. Owners are the best ever!!! Park is very quite during the week, weekend's are busy during peak season. But no problems. Halloween was very nice, spook trail for the kids, although Wife and I enjoyed too. Hay ride. The owners out do themselves to make an enjoyable stay for everyone. This park is one of the best I have stayed at. Seen a Black Bear in the park during the week. Bear ran back into woods no problem. Picked blackberry's behind RV. Highly recommended park!!! - traveling today

Sep 2018 - $50.00
Felt a bit mislead. 4 of us adults stayed Thursday thru Sunday 9/20 thru 9/23/18. We both had motorhomes and wanted to pull in and back in; so our patios faced. We stayed in sites 1 & 2 on the lake "front" area. Frank the owner met us and I questioned the lake front sites and the price as our sites were really "creek view" at best with views of the Cozy Cove mobile home area and their marina. He said we could stay at the campground if we wanted, but at $40 a night, we figured we'd stay by the "lake" for an extra $10. The hook ups were set so that you really had to back in to use them. Luckily for us, there was some PVC pipe laying around, so we were able to get in far enough to dump and then maneuver into place facing the "lake". Our friends who backed in never had a lakeview unless they walked behind our coaches and sat at the picnic table. We had a fire ring that was filthy and full of cigarette butts, plus an old bbq grill that looked like someone just left it, but at least we were able to move the fire ring towards the "lake". Luckily there were some good sized fallen branches that we could burn cuz I didn't know they sold wood till I saw and asked Frank on Sunday after it was too late. Also beware...there are a lot of neighborhood dogs that roam the area off leash AND beware that the lake sites are literally 4 to 6 feet off the main road. This could be crazy loud/annoying during peak summer season. Despite all this, we still had a good time here because we were with great friends. I would have given this place 4 stars if it wasn't so spendy for what you get (or don't get in this case). Will we ever stay again...probably not. Did we have fun, yes. - wwebb58

Aug 2017 - $70.00
We were very disappointed even before we arrived. The road leading to the park was VERY narrow with several blind curves and some overhanging branches. Fortunately, we did not meet an oncoming RV from the opposite direction! Can't imagine how that would even be manageable! After arriving, our disappointment continued! We were told we'd have a lake view at our site. We did not. Matts or rugs of any kind were against their rules due to them trying to grow grass which there was none! Therefore, our chairs had to be on the dirt or on a minimal area of pavement in front of RV. No TV reception (except for 4 channels, none of which are main network channels and two are cartoon channels) unless you have a satellite dish. Their rules and contract you have to adhere to are beyond ridiculous! They require a minimum of 90 days advance notice for any refund and require you to fax or email them their 3-page contract along with payment before they will agree to reserve you a spot. We were expecting beautiful views and much more for the price! We will do much more research before we ever agree to pay such an outrageous rate. We obviously do not recommend this park! - Pete46
