We pulled in on a weekday, so most of the sites were empty. I had a reservation for site #2, but it was too tight for me to get backed into. We moved to site #24 which is just along the road. Worked well for us for just one night. This is a very nice park, the sites are well separated. There are no water connections at the sites, so you will have to fill your tank at one of the faucets located along the road. - SteveCampsTx

Paved roads & sites with 30-amp electric; water & dump available. Quiet, clean park with trees and green space between sites. Sites #2, #3 (handicap), #4, #5, #6, #13, & #15 are long enough for larger rigs, and mostly level. Nice grassy areas and room for dogs and kids. Showers OK, but be prepared to run water a long time before its gets hot. We camped in #6, and will stay here again. - FranM
Sep 2015 - $19.00
Quiet, clean State Park, with mostly long, back-in sites, with electric. Some sites have rather narrow paved drives, with nearby shade trees. Others are more open, but are also more level and big-rig friendly (Sites 2 through 6). Plenty of room between sites; plus large mowed, open areas and trails for walking. This is a good park for folks with dogs, but I didn't see much for kids to do around here. We would stay here again. - FranM

Overnight stop while traveling through Missouri. Easy access off hwy 36 and approx 1/4 mile south of hwy at edge of Bevier. Campground is an older park and is located on a slope at rear of Shoemaker RV Sales and Repair. The campground is not difficult to enter but on initial visit it can be confusing to find campground entrance especially in the dark. We needed a pull through and got a site which was not totally level but sufficient for our needs right behind the dealership building. We didn't use any of the facilities and cannot comment on them. WiFi was superb (best we have seen in an RV Park). No cable or over air TV. Interior roads could be tight for big rigs - we had no issues but park was nearly empty. We did unhook our towed vehicle due to muddy access road but under dry conditions that may not have been necessary. Our pull through site was long enough for our 43 ft motorhome and towed vehicle. Site was gravel with grass in between sites. Large trees border sites and our site had a picnic table. We would use this park for overnight in future if in the area. - Darrell M

Large RV Park located behind RV sales. Sites (mostly pull-thrus) are mainly level. Fishing pond, multiple long tern and seasonal sites. Sites are paved but pavement is breaking up. Restrooms clean and well-stocked but in need of modernizing. Good for an overnite stay but not for long term stay if you are traveling. Would return. - grandma0942
Jul 2018 - $20.00
Staff gave us Passport discount for first night, then Good Sam discounts for remaining which I thought was very nice of them. Gave us our site# but told us if it seemed to small use another site and just let them know, camp host suggested a different site which worked out even better so kudos to the staff for working with you. Quiet campground, no cable, plus did not get any OTA signal (but could possibly be our system). For the value, this is a good place plus we are visiting Marceline, Missouri where Walt Disney grew up. Close to see the town. - DBLR
Apr 2019 - $21.00
Sites are large, private and easy to get on. The park is well managed with and an excellent maintenance staff. The Host program is the best. - Pmoyer17
Sep 2018 - $30.00
Beautiful campground. Our site was concrete, level and spacious. Shady with lots of trees. Clean bathroom/shower. Paved roads to ride bikes. We were backed up to nature/open field and watched deer at night and in the mornings. Campground hosts very nice. We only stayed 1 night and didn't use all the facilities/lake etc. Be aware: Come off hwy 36 and use long branch lake rd exit. GPS took us on a dirt road. Some of the sites were water view. - Jan Orlando

This is a lovely Missouri state park. The only reason it is not getting a better rating is because of the low hanging trees that need to be taken care of. It appears that we were in an updated section of the campground with a concrete pad that was narrow and concrete patio. Most of the sites were much smaller, unlevel, and black topped. This campground has only electric with some sites having 50 amp power available. There is a double sided dump station available for use but we did not use it. We also did not use the bath house but did look inside and it was clean and adequate. There are small comfort stations located throughout the campground. Free unsecured WiFi is available but again we did not use it. The campground was mowed and the overall appearance was one of neatness. There are some sites with a lake view and the lake was beautiful. There is a swimming beach and a marina located in the state park. Only some sites are reservable. We would stay here again as long as we could get one of the limited sites for our big rig. - roadking
