Very spacious and quiet. Scenery was very calming. Camp host was very pleasant and helpful. Spacious gravel - Grass sites. - Pat51

We did not camp here, but checked it out while in the area working. Next year, we'll be back with our RV. It was clean, neat and tidy and just a couple miles on the east side of town. Spaces are not heavily treed, but provide enough coverage and room for comfort. We are looking forward to coming back in 2012. - RVingFT

We visited family in Monett for a week and were so pleased to find this park just three miles east of town. All sites are long and level gravel pull thrus. A few trees provide a spot or two of shade, but they don’t interfere with satellite reception. Wi-Fi was strong, dependable and no extra charge. Staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great spot for an overnight, or longer if you have reason to stay in Monett. We’ll definitely be back. - RockyandBullwinkle

The rate we paid was for a week's stay. First, I'll tell you the good things about this campground. It is very convenient to the interstate. The sites are all pull-through, full hookup, and (I think) all 50 amp. The roads and sites are pretty good gravel surface. Most sites are reasonably level. There's a pool that appears to be maintained, although it was unused during our October stay. There's a laundry that seems to get plenty of use. I had a clear view of the sky for the eastern Dish satellites although the shady sites would likely make it difficult if not impossible to get satellite TV from many of the sites. Our Verizon signal was solid. One unique feature of the campground is that nearly every site has porch swings installed. The close proximity to the interstate is both a good and a bad thing. The sound of traffic never ceases. After a while you tend to tune it out, but, of course, the closer you are to the front of the campground the louder it is. It appeared to me that overnight guests were generally put in sites that put the main building between them and the interstate - a wise move. The campground, in general, just feels tired. I saw a worker painting and, honestly, there's a lot of painting needed. The bathrooms were clean enough but had a funky smell - a mixture of old plus musty. Several sites are occupied by longer term residents - mostly working people who get up every morning and return in the evenings. Their campsites are generally orderly and we had no negative impression of them at all. The campground workers were friendly and helpful. Most travelers stop off just for an overnight and this campground is quite suitable for that: right on the interstate, pull through sites, easy in and out. This is far from our favorite campground, but we'd stay at it again without any hesitation. - nazpaz

I would highly recommend this as a campground. It has something for everyone. There are great trails to walk the energy out of your pets and kids. There is a small fishing area, a swimming pool a game room and a host of other amenities. And there are these chickens that run all over the campgrounds. How many of these type of campgrounds have you ever seen actual free ranging chickens. The park owners will even sell you the freshest eggs you might have ever purchased. - McBlaze911

You get what you pay for. We had read the reviews and knew this was not a 5 star campground but needed an overnight place to stay. Older, outdated and in need of upgrades would be an understatement. Campsite was fairly level, water and sewer connections were within inches of each other. Yuck. Spaces between campsites were good with lots of long term campers. Office was dirty and smelled of dogs hence the name Beagle Bay. Bathhouse is outdated, musty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned well in years. We didn't venture out to see what the rest of the CG was like as this is not a destination campground in our opinion. - Funengineer

Most sites are extended stay. Sites are not level. People park their car and boats everywhere so it is difficult to maneuver. Sites very close together. Only a few spots have a view of the water. Had to find the site ourselves. I had printed a map of the campgrounds that I used, they did not give me one. WIFI worked well from out campsite but we were right by it. Other people drove over to it to use wifi. - Modela2007

We don't have a boat so it just wasn't for us. The sites are really narrow and not level. It is difficult to maneuver around the roads. The swimming area has a very soft bottom. About 6 inches of silt. Not very nice at all. Not a level area to play games with the kids. If you are looking for a campground that is more family friendly I would suggest Crab Tree Cove. If you are looking for place to park the camper and spend the day on the boat then this might be the place for you. - Iluvcamp

We only stayed one night. The park was full. Lots of trees. Nice location - Birdhouse
Oct 2019 - $58.00
Remember the movie, "Trains, planes and automobiles"? Well, that's this camp ground. There are the well documented trains (we had only 1-2 each night we were there), an airport so close, the overhead planes have their landing gear down and of course, Rt 40. We really liked the "comfy" feel of the park with all the trees and the huge open field on one side of the park. Granted, the roads are tight and the gravel not so great but that wasn't an issue for us. - Dennison
Sep 2019 - $40.00
We stayed 4 nights. It's a typical KOA. Not terrible, not great. Could be so much better if the owners put some money and effort into it. Gravel sites, of course. But in need of new gravel, edging and leveling. Plenty of trees. Everything worked. Does fine in a pinch. Typical KOA, not one of the special ones and not one of the horrible ones either. - Creativepart
