Great front end people. A little tight but otherwise very good. The place is expanding and lmproving Lots of shade. Very good overnight stay. - Paul Boisjolie
Jul 2019 - $34.00
This was an overnight stay for us. Check in is 2pm. We arrived a little early and they let us right in. They DO NOT take CREDIT CARDS. Escorted us to a pull-thru FHU spot. It was just wide enough once we unfolded (opposing slides). There were no obstacles that kept us from making easy turns etc. I work while traveling and Verizon was strong. The only real negative is that the proximity to the interstate and no barrier plantings made it very noisy during the night. We would stay again if needed. - you-me-thedog-andcat

Came in with two other campers as this CG seems to be a popular overnight destination. Due to an emergency with another camper, we were placed in a pull through (site 60) with our travel friends. Easy pull through with just water and electric which was fine since we were just spending the night. Nice campground with a lot of permanent party but plenty of temporary sits as well.. We were placed in the upper middle portion of the CG with some shade. We were far enough from the lower camp area that does not have much shade but would be good for satellite reception but there would be road noise from I 49. We did not get much road noise in our location. There was also a large grassy dog area. Above average overnight campground. - MK_Willi

We stayed a month. Very nice park. No amenities. But we weren't looking for any. Hosts are nice and helpful. You can hear the interstate, but it wasn't to obnoxious. Would definitely recommend it. - Kay carter Bob finn
Jun 2018 - $31.00
This campground has small sites. Lots of construction people staying there, leaving very little room with many big pick-up trucks parked. Nothing offered except free WIFI and convenient location for us. Many trees, can not get satellite TV because of the trees. Only 2 & 3 blocks to fast food, restaurant, strip mall shopping and Walmart Easy on and off Interstate. - MaryLee
May 2018 - $38.00
Parking sites are extremely close, roads rough, dump port uphill, mostly long term/construction campers. Believe we were only short stay. The site was level and WiFi worked great. Ok stay for one night. - Foxes

Wonderful campground with friendly folks working there. Secure grounds with a pin operated gate. They sell firewood and ice. Nice wooded sites with great water pressure. We saw lots of wildlife...deer and wild turkey everywhere. Short drive to stores and restaurants yet you feel very much in the woods. Lovely place to stay if you're visiting Kansas City area. - Rv lyfe
Aug 2019 - $35.00
This was a very nice county run park. While the bathrooms and showers are dated, they were clean and well-maintained. The campsites were spacious and seemed decently level. The camp hosts were very accommodating when we had truck problems and had to extend our stay. The campground got busy over the weekend but noise wasn't bad because of the size of the campground. Would definitely stay here again. - MadisonH23
Jun 2019 - $30.00
A nice clean park. Plenty of room between sites, most of them paved. Only gripe was the showers; small, cramped, & they were push-button; every 30 seconds or so you had to press the button again, & there was no temperature control. - RV-Roamer

Beautiful campground. Roomy sites without trees. I cleaned some litter from ground on arrival, but we pulled in 10 minutes after previous folks left. The grounds were beautifyl, clean and we'll maintained. The Rangers and greeting attendant were very nice. We loved it. - judy p
Jul 2019 - $33.00
The campground entrance was well marked and easy to find. Some of the internal roads were asphalt and some were dirt. They were easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome, and there were shade trees on each site. Our pull-thru site was far from level, as were most sites, and we were unable to open our largest slide for fear of damage to it. The sites were gravel and wide, but just long enough to park the toad in front of the RV. There was grass on each site, and it was in good condition, which was nice for our 3 Golden Retrievers. There was no cable TV, no wifi, but there was 8 OTA stations, and the Verizon signal was 2 bars. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was good. The sewer connection was above ground level, making it more difficult to use. We don't use restrooms or showers, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There wasn't a dog park for our 4 footed family members. We did not notice any significant road noise. The price was a little high for no cable or wifi. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would not stay here again, because of the non-level sites. - Don Gagnon

Friendly owner of this newly-opened park. It's fifty long pull-through sites in a field behind a storage facility. Easy on-off Interstate 49. Restaurants and fuel nearby. Sites are hard-packed dirt, fairly level. We stayed overnight (4 slides) towing on a dolly. - HamandGiblet

Rutlader Outpost RV Park, for us, was a one-night stay. Management was friendly and helpful. The per-night fee was fair. The CG felt safe. Almost all guests seemed to be long-term residents. Our site was at the far end of one of several long rows, it was a FHU, pull-thru mostly level, site with a gravel pad. Spacing between sites was minimal. Other than restrooms, showers, a laundry, and a small pond, the CG has no other amenities. The long row of "frontier style" mock storefronts at the entrance of the park are vacant and, we were told, are currently used for storage. It's not the type of CG that most folks would choose to hang-out, BBQ, and visit with friends around a cozy campfire. It's a RV park that seems to be best suited for full-timers and the occasional one-nighter. - Kona Boy
Sep 2018 - $32.00
What a nice surprise to find an RV Park that was clean and not completely full of monthly guests. Yes there are monthly's but they are all clean sites and very well kept. The new owners have worked very hard to make this park beautiful. No complaints. Made a reservation- arrived late and it was taped on the board. We received good Sam discount. Next morning I went in to pay and talked with the owner. Nice guy who is really working hard to make the park stand out. It was really nice! Will stay here frequently- it was definitely good price and good owners who care about the daily guests! Easy to get into site easy to pull out. Nice store with munchies and souvenirs - Pdcsjc
Jul 2017 - $30.00
In my opinion it is not what it once was according to older advertisements of attractions. Store fronts predominately now self storage except Tuesday night Cowboy Church and small business. Close to US69. Ok for overnight while traveling but not a destination. Nice staff. Stone road (dust) & pads. Small grass strips. Hook ups good. No significant shade. Some long term sites with dogs & stuff. - tzdr8v

We stayed for a three day weekend over the summer. It had very nice facilities and seemed very popular as every spot was full! There wasn’t very much shade but the facilities were VERY nice and clean! We will be staying here again. - KelseyH

Great place, sits in a convenient location near I-70 be the Arrowhead / Kaufman stadium. 10 minutes from downtown, 20 to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, Plaza shopping and Worlds of Fun. Owner was incredible. Hooked up my power, sewer and water. I stayed in the winter. It's a great spot for temporary workers. I was there 5 months, others were shorter and some longer. Lots of railroad workers. Very clean, easy to get in and out. The only downside is, there is no WiFi. I used my personal HotSpot, but ate through it fast. The spots are mixed in with mobile homes. It's very quiet, 55 and older only. Surrounded by trees, and well lit. I have s concrete slap that you back into and off street parking next to my Motorhome. Plus a small yard. - Artistkc
Sep 2016 - $30.00
My wife called several places on a Saturday as I was driving down and this CG owner was the only one to call us back. I work all over the country and this place is PERFECT if you're just stopping by or for work. It's right off of 70 right by the football and baseball fields. I worked on the west side of the city and from where I was on the east it was only a 20 minute ride. The owner made sure the grass was mowed or snow plowed as I stayed 7 months. I called on him a few times and he'd check on my RV if I was home for the weekend and my neighbors were good as well as this is a nice quiet place to stay. Shopping is very close as well. Autumn Falls is a place I highly recommend. Plus after I got here I still checked on other prices and found that no one could beat his price. So check it out for yourself you won't be unhappy. - Steele1
Aug 2016 - $30.00
After staying here for two nights, I would have to say that Autumn Falls is more a mobile home park than a campground or RV park. There are about 40 sites, most of which are used by mobile homes, but a few vacant spaces spread through out the park are used to park RV's. There are no amenities at all; you get a concrete pad between two mobile homes with utilities to park your rig. So if that's all you need, this isn't a bad place to stay. Our TT is 30 AMP but the power box was only 50 AMP so we needed an adaptor. It's only 7 blocks from the KC Royals and Saints stadiums, so it's perfect for sports enthusiasts. But, it's also right along Highway 40, which is very busy from 7AM until dark, then it quiets down a bit. However, I must say that the owner keeps the park in amazing condition. It was very clean, the grass was cut, and there was no junk lying around. He definitely went to the head of the customer service class; I wish more in his position would be just like him. - Love To Travel 2

Under New Management!! Having read the previous reviews, I was a bit apprehensive. I must say we were nicely surprised, the trees on the road leading in had been trimmed the week before we got there, so we had no issues getting our 13 1/2 ft high camper in. A young couple bought this campground last week and are working extremely hard to get it back up to being a nice campground. They still have a lot of work to do, but they have been mowing and generally tidying up the place. When we arrived, the owner took us on his golf cart to look at the sites to see what would accommodate our 40 ft 5th wheel. We found a lovely site with a view of the lake out our back window. The site was not level, but we had no problems getting leveled out. The owner is bringing in tons of gravel to upgrade the sites. The pool was closed as it was after Labor Day, but they said they are going to paint the pool too. It is a huge pool that juts out into the lake. Make no mistake, they have their work cut out for them, but so far so good. I would say, "give them a chance" This is a diamond in the rough, there is a tiny camp store in the check in office. We would stay here again! - STAN and Linda
Aug 2019 - $35.00
Lake Paradise is a very large park that advertises 237 wooded acres with cabins and 500 "large pull thru sites". The manager did not accept a reservation. In reality, the park is badly maintained, grass has not been cut and tall weeds cover most of the sites. Many sites are back-in sites, and all sites are short, gravel, with potholes, and not very level. Parking of my tow vehicle was an issue. Dirt roads with lots of rocks make the area very dusty and there are a lot of full-time campers that are badly maintained as well. Lots of trees with low hanging branches that have not been cut back make maneuvering, entry and exit hazardous. Several sites I tried did not have working power or water and the site I settled in (a back-in} did not have a very good, although it was useable, sewer connection. Power at my site, although 50 amp, was barely sufficient as the breaker on the post kept tripping. I was not able to find a level spot to set up my grill or lawn chair, so sitting outside was not very easy. The 2-day PA rate was honored, but there was a $2 per person charge to use the pool and a $5 per person to fish in the lakes - most of which were invaded by grasses and weeds. The access road was about 2 miles long, very narrow, with low hanging branches hitting my rig as I approached. This park needs lots of work. There is no WiFi available and cell phone coverage is nonexistent. I will not return. - Webkeeper

I have been at this park several times since the membership park went out of busines. Only part of the orignal park is open. Theres is a lot of work to be done to get the park to get to RESORT quality. - Joceil
