Sep 2018 - $23.00
Nice enough campground with mostly unpaved sites. We moved from site 94 because a corner was washed out and the gravel mound was too uneven or small for our motorhome. Moved to site 76 which was level and paved. Wonderful bathhouse. 50 or more channels OTA. No sewers or water in sites. - Michaeljess
Jul 2017 - $21.00
This was a great value for a state park. Some of the sites in the park have 50 amp service and are paved, but we were only able to get a site with 30 amp gravel site. Good amount of space between sites, but many tall trees prevented any satellite connection. No sewer at our site but there is a dump station available. We met a group of RV's there for a mini rally. The campground host was very helpful and friendly. We could only spend 2 days here at this time, but we would come back here. - SargeW
Sep 2016 - $23.00
In additional to the nightly fee there was an $8.50 reservation fee since we booked on line!
This is a beautiful park, lots of large hardwood trees fill the park. We didn't even try to get Direct TV reception! But could get some TV over the antenna.
Only problem we had was with the configuration of our site. It was raised up from the normal forest floor in order to be somewhat level to the roadway. But that buildup was rather narrow for our 5th wheel. So when making reservation beware of that since there is somewhat of a description of the sites on the website. Once we got the rig centered on the site it made for tricky navigation from the truck to the steps of the RV. Don't let that warning keep you from this park, just fore warned is fore armed!
Dump site at entrance to the campground. No threaded tap for hooking up hose to use our Saniflush.
The park is very close to the Watkins Woolen Mill and Home. Beautiful state historic site. The campground is on the land of the former farm. Very interesting and a must see. Only $4.00 admission per person! - Rick & Karen
May 2019 - $39.00
Noticeable improvements since our last stay a couple of years ago. Long-stay coaches in the back of the park are noticeably nicer. New dog park (looks a bit small, but our 3 Rottweilers got plenty of exercise). WiFi solid and stable. People are very friendly and attentive to your needs. - Dobiedaddy
Jun 2018 - $36.00
Only stayed here two nights. Friendly staff, that also run the small country store and cheese shop out front. Make sure you pull in and stay right along white fence to check in, as there are no signs to indicate best entry for check-in. Park roads ok to navigate. Had a nice level concrete pad right behind the store, which we hoped would block some of the incessant interstate highway noise...but sadly it did not. But hey, we picked this campground, and knew what we signed up for. Had some nice shade trees though. Bathroom/shower facility was nice and clean, well maintained. Excellent Verizon coverage, and although WiFi signal was good, found it did not actually work too well. For the price, would stay again for a short visit. Not much to do in Odessa though. - We Roamed and Rambled
May 2018 - $39.00
Only stayed one night. Easily accessed from freeway. Our pull-through was a problem for leveling and we noticed others had similar issues. Friendly and helpful staff. - Halina
Apr 2019 - $45.00
Park has a strange layout with sites pointing to all 4 points of the compass Our site was very very close to our neighbors - We will not stay there again. - rr2254545
Nov 2018 - $38.00
Convenient to Kansas City. Spacious. Lots of extras although none of them open in November. Site was level, easy in and out. - Hartleyfam
Aug 2018 - $42.00
Who needs to count sheep in order to fall asleep! Just count the cars/trucks you can hear going by on I-70, 24/7. The only way this could be any worse is if I pulled onto the median on the Interstate and set up camp there. It took two shots at getting a site as the first one wasn't long enough and we had to go back. The escort wasn't much help since we kept him from driving around in his golf cart and talking to people. While the place is clean it's not a place we could recommend to anyone, unless you're an insomniac. It was fairly close to where we had to be and as a result we stayed for the three days, otherwise... - Mr. Camper
Aug 2017 - $38.00
Stayed one night, while passing through. Site was beyond small, two tiered sloping site with RV and tow vehicle on upper level and all utilities (Full Hook Up) on adjacent lot. Two truck tires surrounded water pipe. Property needs sound barriers. NOTHING masks the sound of trucks, ambulances, or busses barreling down the highway. Don't count on any WIFI. Don't waste your time trying to hook up. The office/store are was a disaster. Nothing for sale. Empty shelves. The only pleasant thing about the place was the woman who checked us in. - Cammy Per
Apr 2017 - $16.00
As noted, an older park that needs some upgrades. We specifically told them we needed satellite, but didn't have any chance of getting a signal. No cable, but antenna picked up a good number of the free channels like Metv, AntennaTv and local networks. Laundry small but clean. Several machines out of order. Our site had a pond in the street next to us due to heavy rain. Lots of mud. A nice park across the road to walk the dog, and a RV center next door which is convenient for parts or supplies. - fulltimerjan
Apr 2017 - $34.00
This is a old campground that we have been to over the past 27 year. It is heavily used. It is in need of a good up grade through out the park. Most sites are in need of a lot of gravel. Our site was muddy from rain last night. Their full time residents have the same problem with mud and water in the holes in the lanes around their area. - Joceil
May 2009 - $10.00
OK, admittedly the park was officially open on 1 May and we pulled in on 2 May but our stay in this park lasted 10 minutes compared to about an hours worth of driving once we left the interstate. Reason, their directions are not correct (even as confirmed over the phone) and their address we learned doesn't show up on either of our 2 GPS units because it's a street address they made up. Getting to the park was over some really bad, pot hole filled roads out in the middle of nowhere. Sure they say they had recently had heavy rains but their roads in the park were dangerously rutted. The pull through site we were offered was just barely large enough for us and it would have been difficult to level our rig. The park gives the impression of being a permanent resident trailer park with mostly old and unsightly rigs. The park is selling lots/sites and the owners are supposed to maintain their lots but it appears they don't. The grass in those areas with grass was at least a foot high. The amenities they offer appear to be non functioning or non existent and a trip into town would be a long difficult drive. They offer no Wi-Fi and if they offered to pay our fee, we would not consider staying there. The signage to the park is only apparent when you get to the final turn off. Sorry to be so negative but this is one of the worst, most rundown parks we have ever visited - note we didn't stay for the night and just kissed off the non-refundable Coast to Coast fee. - 5thwheeler
Oct 2018 - $32.00
Perfect overnight stop for us. Easy big rig access and super long 80' site In the lower section, which on the Tuesday night we stopped mid October, we had to ourselves. Lots of wide open grassy area to excercise your dog or kids. Very nice couple managing the park. - barbielab
Jul 2018 - $32.00
Not too bad for the price we paid. Mostly outdated and most of the property was mowed. Next to interstate so you can hear the traffic. All gravel roads so it's pretty dusty in the summer. No security lights outside at night, so I was tripping outside in the uneven landscape and roads. Fenced in doggie park with a shade tree which is nice for the two dogs. The RV site was not long enough for a 40 ft. trailer and truck. Would not stay here again if the price was higher. - sherry and ron
Jun 2018 - $32.00
Not the prettiest park we've ever been in, but we still liked it a lot! It needed to be mowed when we were there, but it was very clean. Very nice and clean swimming pool with lots of seating, very nice laundry room and 4 or 5 individual bathrooms with stand up showers all clean. Very nice lady at check in, convenient off I-70, nice dog run. Would stay here again! - 2VetsRVing
