Very nice park in downtown St. Louis. Lots of traffic, but fairly easy to navigate the area. A little pricey, but his park was closest to where I needed to be so it was worth the small inconvenience. All the sites that I saw were gravel and I had to raise one side about 3 inches to get level. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were VERY clean. Showers were roomy with good water pressure. Pool and grounds very clean. The 30 amp breaker on my site was weak and tripped a couple of times. I just put a 30/50 amp adapter on, plugged in to the 50 amp and had no further problems. I would stay here again. - rdrunner
May 2019 - $52.00
Surprising location close to city. Was quiet at night though, and much appreciated. It is basically a parking lot but sites are spacious. They are not particularly level. Restrooms and showers were clean and spacious also. Staff was very helpful. We were able to stay hooked up and walked across the street to a c-store at a gas station for a basic we had forgotten. - exceltraveler
Jul 2018 - $50.00
Pretty handy to all the tourist attractions. Management is super - very helpful, both in knowledge and escorting you to your site. Some traffic noise, but nights are quiet (surprising for its location). The park slopes a few degrees, so bring blocking. I'd stay again when in the area. - eaf14131

Sep 2019 - $1.00
Easy to get to, nicely spaced spots, great wi-fi, security makes regular patrols. Casino has very good buffet. Easy access to St Louis and all it has to offer. Nice view of the arch. Only drawback, and it was much more than most parks, was the constant and close by train traffic. All day and all night long. Even with the a/c fan running all night for white noise, it was intrusive. My wife is a heavy sleeper and it didn't bother her, but I am I am a light sleeper and it was too much for me. We've stayed here twice but I would try and find somewhere else next time. - Mark and Lynne
Sep 2019 - $50.00
The park is unattended but security from the casino drives through multiple times during the day and night. Access code is required for entry which is sent by email before arrival but we had to call to get it as did other campers I talked to. It’s clean and well maintained and convenient to nearby attractions. There is no dog park but the entire property is bounded by a wide strip of grass and trees which gave our large dog plenty of area to explore. A heavily used train track and nearby highway generate some noise that may bother those sensitive to that. The Casino is across a parking lot and they’ll come get you if you desire but I’d skip the restaurants which are mediocre at best with slow but friendly service. The skyline of St Louis is your view and sunset over the Arch can be stunning. - Chasdalex
Sep 2019 - $50.00
long asphalt which should be level, but not spot 519. Took 3 levelers just to get it somewhat level. Nice clean park with gate code to enter. Train track around back side of park, but not noticeable during night. Most casino RV parks are more reasonably priced. $50 seemed too high. - aliner man

Nov 2019 - $33.00
The park was easy to find with good access. Signage was fair. Check in was quick, efficient and informative. The name suggests something more upscale. It is not. The interior roads were rough. Our site, 41, was a back in but, since the spot behind us was vacant, we were able to drive in. The site was hard packed gravel with a small concrete patio, table and fire ring and a lot of weeds instead of grass. The utilities, 50 and 30 amp power, water and sewer were to the left side and all worked well. There is no cable but we picked up many OTA channels. Wifi worked fairly good. The site was filthy. We raked up garbage and picked up tons of cigarette butts. The campground is filled with mostly permanent residents who don't clean up after their dogs. There is a small laundromat on site, open 24 hours. The only thing this park really has going for it is location, (access to St. Louis and it's attractions is great) and there is an onsite BBQ restaurant. The aroma smelled wonderful but we did not have an opportunity to taste. We paid a weekly rate of $245.00. There is no Good Sam discount for a weekly rate. We don't think the park is worth it. If we are in the area again we will probably look for something nicer. - Rollin Ollens
Jun 2019 - $40.00
We stayed here one night for a ballgame. The shuttle driver was very helpful and got us to and from Busch Stadium (night game $30 for both of us; note: You will pay that just to park your car in downtown STL.) with no problems. He informed us the RV park will be getting city water soon so maybe the flooding won't be such an issue. The park was swampy, standing water/mud everywhere. Does have laundry and a pool which we didn't use. Sites are pretty close together. About midnight our neighbors decide to go outside and talk, laugh, and generally be noisy. I let it go awhile but then decided to call the office. Of course I get an answering machine. I left a message which was received the next day (I asked). Manager said she called the problem campers and explained it away by "They are carnival workers. They probably just got home." OK, good to know, I guess. We stayed in a pull thru. We have stayed before and will probably stay again during baseball season. Wifi good. There is a pretty good BBQ restaurant on site and if memory serves they can deliver to your site. - zzzzzzz
Jun 2019 - $45.00
For an overnight it was very overpriced. Had to bail out the hole to get to the water spigot. Site was level... hook-ups were satisfactory. Many permanent residents and workers. BBQ restaurant on site. - loneranger

Needed a place to spend the night. Not on the best part of town and mostly long term. Had a few spots for overnighters. Managers were very nice, but park in need of upgrades. Not on our return list! - skier1947
Mar 2010 - $35.00
This is perhaps the worst campground we have ever stayed at. The sites are short, not level and very close together. The road is dirt and full of holes. There are permanent residents who don't think there is a need to keep their site neat or free of dog waste. This area the park is in, seems to be very unsafe and dirty. Next time I come to this area, I will find somewhere else to stay. - Ron910

Sep 2019 - $52.00
We arrived at this park after dark and it is impossible to find the park and the directions to the park are poor. After driving around for over 30 minutes, we found a local business who knew where the park is located and they had been asked where the KOA is located before. Even with their directions it was hard to find the road. There are no lighted signs and the park is in an industrial area and we did not expect to find an RV park in that location. In the morning, it is very noisy as the trucks at the local businesses leave for work. Overall we were very disappointed and will not return. - Chuck Larson
Aug 2019 - $55.00
This park is typical of the older KOA campgrounds, showing some need for updating. This one particularly needs dirt and/or gravel added to pot holes. It is hard to dodge the holes when it rains. There are also a lot of seasonal/permanent campers which detracts from the overall view. This campground is acceptable for a stay when there are needs to be in the area, but there is not much to brag about. Wood fires are not allowed in the county. While the campground itself feels safe, it is in the middle of a very industrial/commercial area. - LenR
Jul 2019 - $45.00
Read a lot of negative reviews about this place. Happy to say I was pleasantly surprised by the campground. We stayed a couple of days while exploring St. Louis. This campground is close to the city (20 minutes) and that is exactly what you are paying for - close access to St. Louis. It is probably the smallest KOA I have ever seen one, but it had a jumping pillow and playground, pool, laundry, and store. Kids enjoyed it just fine. Staff were mostly teenagers but pleasant and polite. This KOA is in an industrial area (hard to find; no signs en route!) but you wouldn’t really know it once you get here. Bathrooms were clean and laundry room was as well. Trees surrounded the property. Temper expectations people...this is a great campground for a quick stay in the St. Louis area - sure beats hotel prices! - Brian Krieger

Aug 2013 - $25.00
We called ahead to reserve a spot. The woman who answered the phone did not identify the park when she picked up; I had to confirm that I had the right number. She quoted $25 per night and confirmed that they were big rig friendly. I explained that we were pulling a 40' 5th wheel with a long bed 1 ton truck, and that we'd need 50 amp. She said no problem, just to call her when we got closer. When we called back, she told us to leave a check in the drop box and take any spot we wanted. We got there only to find it is NOT big rig friendly, and it was dirty and ill maintained. With quite a bit of maneuvering, we were able to turn around and leave. There are a lot of what looks to be full time and transient residents there. We didn't think we'd stay even if it had comfortably fit our rig as it was a little sketchy looking. There are no pull throughs because of the very low power lines running throughout the park. I would not stay here. It's a dump. - Gogirl
Jun 2012 - $25.00
STAY AWAY !!! This place is a dump with many issues. I plugged my 50 amp surge protector into the electric box and got a reading of 130V on one leg and 114V on the other leg. Surge protector would kick out often. There was trash everywhere. The fellow next door was living in a box truck that looked like it hadn't been moved in 10 years. Every morning he would sit in his bucket seat, which was positioned next to the water faucet, and wash up and do his dishes. We never saw the manager only talked to her on the phone. There was never anybody in the office. Did I say? ...STAY AWAY - john5079

It is duck season so you will hear some shooting in the morning hours. At night when 9:00PM comes you will hear the alert siren for the city, go off. This is because a child curfew is in effect and it is a reminder to parents to check and see where your kids are at. My stay was nice, then again I am working in the area (St. Louis) and was therefore not here to visit the sites. But for working in the area it was just what I needed. The interstate into St. Louis is very busy and adds about 20 minutes to the morning drive. But if here for sightseeing this should not be a problem for most people. With winter coming up, they allowed you to "underpin" your travel trailer to help keep pipes from freezing. All in all, I would stay here again if work was closer. - Maxflex

Jul 2014 - $25.00
The good part about this campground was the close proximity to St. Louis. Hookups were OK but don't expect TV, satellite or antenna. A good ol' boy runs the park, which is filled mostly with good ol' boys and fishermen. Had to chase him down to pay before I left. No amenities unless you want to fish. I'll look for something in St. Louis area, even if higher in price, the next time I'm in the area. - RVW Traveler
Apr 2012 - $30.00
We were going to stay here but when we got there there was a pit bull and rottweiler running lose on the ground. Not the kind of place we would stay. - Big Benny
May 2010 - $25.00
Despite its unkempt and tired appearance, we had a nice time here. The bathrooms are serviceable, ditto the shower. The fishing is great, though. It's not exactly "family friendly" in the same sense that cg's with playgrounds, trails, open spaces are, but it not anti-kid either. There are a lot of permanent residents, and those that we met have been friendly and helpful. We'd probably stay here again based on price and necessity. - Joann26

Nov 2014 - $20.00
There are several campgrounds within the park so make sure you get the right one. We camped in the West Side Campground of the Horseshoe Lake Conservation Area, which is right on the lake itself. The East Side Campground was closed. Hunting season was in full swing and all the other campers were serious male hunters in all male hunting bands. Polite and friendly but I felt kind of out of place as a female. We heard a lot of shooting nearby so we went around with our orange and yellow raincoats on. We went for a canoe trip in the cypress swamp from the dock across the road from our site. Very nice place if you would like to canoe in a cypress swamp and we enjoyed that. However the water tap didn't work and when we tried to dump, the dump site was plugged and we had to contend with a mess. Showers were closed. For an overnight it was a lovely scenic park but don't expect the water and sewer to work. The electricity was fine. Long narrow roads in and out where you can't turn around but the sites are huge once you are off the roadway into the campground. Not worth the $20 we were charged, in spite of he lovely canoe trip. - Judy Birchland
Sep 2012 - $20.00
Found this park while traveling down I-57 South. Needed a place for the night. Park off the beaten path, and quiet. Fire pits in poor shape, but the view of the lake is very pretty. Not a class A park, but we liked it so much we stayed 2 nights. - campbee

We enjoyed a week stay to see the local sites. The gentleman at checkin was friendly and got me checked in quickly. All roads and sites are concrete and the park is very well kept. The city noise was minor and didn't bother me at all. The WiFi was very good as well as OTA tv channels. There was a tour group that came in for a few days. They were a very quiet, courteous, and friendly bunch. We would like to stay here again when in the area. - Hobbes

Nice park but the train and plane is overwhelming, not just bad, HORRIBLE. Won't stay here again. - scoots46
Sep 2019 - $53.00
Second time staying here. Grounds are very well maintained, sites are concrete, all hookups worked. Close to downtown St. Charles for dinner and entertainment, close casino as well. Lots of complaints from people about trains and planes, I heard one train go by and one plane. Lady in office was very friendly and helpful. Shower area needs to be cleaned in afternoon as well as morning, but it wasn't too terribly bad, just small. - Texas Guy

This is actually more of a mobile home park that is masquerading as a RV park. As near as I can tell, when a mobile home is removed for whatever reason they turn the slab into a RV slot. The mobile homes are stacked in tight. This is not the place you go for a vacation. But since there are not too many RV parks in the St. Louis area, this is the kind of place you go to if you are working in, or visiting the area and just need a place to park. Call as you pull up and a caretaker will meet you at the entrance. Didn't have any problems, but would only go back if I had to have a place to stay. - Dave Cole
