Jul 2019 - $23.00
Very nice wooded campground with paved roads large enough for any RV. No water at site but hose bibs scattered throughout. Dump station and fresh water at exit. It was very hot when we arrived but the 50 amp and our dual A/C's worked well. I have a electrical monitoring system and the voltage and amperage were adequate and consistent. I have a Verizon Jetpack with Weboost cradle amplifier and the signal was very good. - hhendrix

This is a gorgeous park! It is not an RV Park, it is a state park with trees so big motorhomes, be aware. We travel in an Airstream and it's absolutely perfect for us. The sites have lots of trees between them and behind them and the roads are in great condition throughout the park. Each site has a picnic table. and fire pit. This is my kind of camping - I'm not in this for manicured lawns and paving everywhere - I like my camping a bit more natural and this park feels terrific to me. We were told there are both mosquitos and ticks but haven't seen either yet but sprayed anyway and put stuff on the dogs. I think there will be mosquitos and ticks the rest of the way across the US, honestly - twestover

Stayed two nights at this park on our trip south. Easy off and on from IH 70 and Missouri 13. Water, sewer and electric pedestal all placed well in the site and worked well. Lower level sites are gravel with grass between sites with nice space for picnic table and fire pit which is provided. Our site #53 was plenty long enough so we didn't disconnect but had to use two levelers per axle to level side to side. Owners live on site and are nice and friendly. Clean area's with grass mowed and pool area (now closed for season) and out buildings in good repair. Showers and toilets (four separate rooms) very clean looking and laundry clean and all machines work. The few semi permanent rigs and sites were not junk filled and kept tidy. To sum up good park on 70 east of KC with very little noise and we would stop again if over that way. - xarmoreddriver
Jul 2019 - $32.00
Easy pull through sites, convenient to the interstate. Friendly staff. Mostly level sites. Clean and quiet, well maintained. We didn't use it, but a nice looking pool. - Marjjack
Jun 2019 - $34.00
This park is right off the highway and very convenient. Our site was a little uneven but very easily corrected. The pads are gravel with concrete strips and might not appeal to everyone but we enjoyed our time here. There is a bar and grill in the park that was very convenient. The bathrooms and showers are individual private rooms so lots of privacy. There is a safe room in case of bad weather. Beautiful pool and would definitely stay here again. - Gary Phillips

May 2009 - $10.00
OK, admittedly the park was officially open on 1 May and we pulled in on 2 May but our stay in this park lasted 10 minutes compared to about an hours worth of driving once we left the interstate. Reason, their directions are not correct (even as confirmed over the phone) and their address we learned doesn't show up on either of our 2 GPS units because it's a street address they made up. Getting to the park was over some really bad, pot hole filled roads out in the middle of nowhere. Sure they say they had recently had heavy rains but their roads in the park were dangerously rutted. The pull through site we were offered was just barely large enough for us and it would have been difficult to level our rig. The park gives the impression of being a permanent resident trailer park with mostly old and unsightly rigs. The park is selling lots/sites and the owners are supposed to maintain their lots but it appears they don't. The grass in those areas with grass was at least a foot high. The amenities they offer appear to be non functioning or non existent and a trip into town would be a long difficult drive. They offer no Wi-Fi and if they offered to pay our fee, we would not consider staying there. The signage to the park is only apparent when you get to the final turn off. Sorry to be so negative but this is one of the worst, most rundown parks we have ever visited - note we didn't stay for the night and just kissed off the non-refundable Coast to Coast fee. - 5thwheeler

This campsite is in Kingsville, MO, but the Website does not recognise that city! Odessa is about 12 miles away, but the only city I could use for location. This place is a "work in progress", literally! I think, given time, it will be a great place to stay. Right now they have 3 or 4 tent areas, probably could accomodate 30-ish tents, some with 115v & water. There are 10 RV spots, gravel pads, some fairly level, ranging from 25' to about 90'. RV pads have water & 30/50A power. Big down side, no sewer or dump station, but they do allow gray water discharge on the ground. I think this could be a problem, as irresponsible campers may also dump black water. There is a Porta-potty, & the owners are in process of building a "club room", consisting of flush toilet & shower, washing machine, & "club area" (unsure what that will entail). They are also building a rental cabin. There is a seasonal solar shower, some nice, short, hiking trails, looks like they are adding flowers, shrubs & shade trees. Pet friendly with usual pet leash & clean up caveats, (our pups love it!). We will be staying again! - RV-Roamer

Sep 2019 - $34.00
Good location next to I-70 and for overnight. You do have highway and train noise. We had a pull thru site but it wasn’t level (3” off side to side) - KSTraveler
Sep 2019 - $32.00
Good location for an overnight. Very friendly and helpful staff. You have to sample the large variety of cheeses in the Country Store. Gravel site, pretty level. Very quiet park, even though I-70 is close by. The bathrooms/showers a little dated but very clean. The 30 amp breaker at our site was weak and I had to reset it 3 times. I finally put a 30/50 adapter on my power line and had no other problems with the 50 amp breakers. The roads within the park could stand some improvement. All in all a very nice experience. - rdrunner

Under New Management!! Having read the previous reviews, I was a bit apprehensive. I must say we were nicely surprised, the trees on the road leading in had been trimmed the week before we got there, so we had no issues getting our 13 1/2 ft high camper in. A young couple bought this campground last week and are working extremely hard to get it back up to being a nice campground. They still have a lot of work to do, but they have been mowing and generally tidying up the place. When we arrived, the owner took us on his golf cart to look at the sites to see what would accommodate our 40 ft 5th wheel. We found a lovely site with a view of the lake out our back window. The site was not level, but we had no problems getting leveled out. The owner is bringing in tons of gravel to upgrade the sites. The pool was closed as it was after Labor Day, but they said they are going to paint the pool too. It is a huge pool that juts out into the lake. Make no mistake, they have their work cut out for them, but so far so good. I would say, "give them a chance" This is a diamond in the rough, there is a tiny camp store in the check in office. We would stay here again! - STAN and Linda
Aug 2019 - $35.00
Lake Paradise is a very large park that advertises 237 wooded acres with cabins and 500 "large pull thru sites". The manager did not accept a reservation. In reality, the park is badly maintained, grass has not been cut and tall weeds cover most of the sites. Many sites are back-in sites, and all sites are short, gravel, with potholes, and not very level. Parking of my tow vehicle was an issue. Dirt roads with lots of rocks make the area very dusty and there are a lot of full-time campers that are badly maintained as well. Lots of trees with low hanging branches that have not been cut back make maneuvering, entry and exit hazardous. Several sites I tried did not have working power or water and the site I settled in (a back-in} did not have a very good, although it was useable, sewer connection. Power at my site, although 50 amp, was barely sufficient as the breaker on the post kept tripping. I was not able to find a level spot to set up my grill or lawn chair, so sitting outside was not very easy. The 2-day PA rate was honored, but there was a $2 per person charge to use the pool and a $5 per person to fish in the lakes - most of which were invaded by grasses and weeds. The access road was about 2 miles long, very narrow, with low hanging branches hitting my rig as I approached. This park needs lots of work. There is no WiFi available and cell phone coverage is nonexistent. I will not return. - Webkeeper

I have been at this park several times since the membership park went out of busines. Only part of the orignal park is open. Theres is a lot of work to be done to get the park to get to RESORT quality. - Joceil
